GENERAL INFORMATION
This manual has been compiled by Draper Tools, which should be kept with the machine.
This manual describes the purpose for which this tool has been designed and contains all the necessary
information to ensure its correct and safe use.We recommend that this manual is read before any operation of
the tool, before performing any kind of adjustment to the tool, and prior to any maintenance tasks. By following
all the general safety instructions contained in this manual, it will ensure both tool and operator safety, together
with longer life of the tool itself.
All photographs and drawings in this manual are supplied by Draper Tools to help illustrate the operation of the
machine.
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure accuracy of information contained in this manual, the Draper Tool

GUARANTEE (DOMESTIC D.I.Y.TOOLS)
Draper tools have been carefully tested and inspected before shipment and are guaranteed to be
free from defective materials and workmanship.
Should the tool develop a fault, please return the complete tool to your nearest distributor or
contact Draper Tools Limited, Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO53 1YF. England.

If upon inspection it is found that the fault occurring is due to defective materials or workmanship,
repairs will be carried out free of charge. This guarantee period covering parts/labour is 12
months from the date of purchase. The guarantee is extended to 24 months for parts only. This
guarantee does not apply to normal wear and tear, nor does it cover any damage caused by
misuse, careless or unsafe handling, alterations, accidents, or repairs attempted or made by any
personnel other than the authorised Draper warranty repair agent.
This guarantee applies in lieu of any other guarantee expressed or implied and variations of its
terms are not authorised.
Your Draper guarantee is not effective unless you can produce upon request a dated receipt or
invoice to verify your proof of purchase within the guarantee period.
Please note that this guarantee is an additional benefit and does not affect your statutory rights.

SPECIFICATION
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
Please read the following instructions carefully, failure to do so could lead to serious
personal injury.
IMPORTANT
Draper Tools Limited recommends that this tool should not be modified or used for any
application other than that for which it was designed. If you are unsure of its relative
applications do not hesitate to contact us in writing and we will advise you.
1. Keep out of reach of children.
2. Keep away from sources of ignition.
3. Butane gas is highly flammable, handle with care.
4. Do not touch the nozzle area when hot.
5. Do not breathe vapour or spray.
6. Do not drop, puncture, incinerate or expose to direct sunlight or temperatures
above 50°C (122°F).
7. When igniting or using, do not aim at face or body.
8. Make sure the gas control is completely turned off and the flame extinguished
after use.
9. Do not leave the glue gun unattended during use.
10. If swallowed seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.
11. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek
medical advice.

OPERATION & USE
GAS FUELLING (Fig.2).
NOTE: The glue gun is supplied empty of
gas. (Butane gas refill not supplied).
With the gas control valve in the off
position and the gun in the up turned
position, insert the butane nozzle into the
refill valve ✪✌. Observe any warnings on
the butane canister. Push down on the
canister to fill and release when full.
Butane will escape around the valve when
the gun is full.
IGNITION (Figs.3 and 4).
The gas control wheel ✫✌ is fitted with a
safety lock to prevent accidental gas loss.
To operate, initially lift and twist the
wheel. Gas will be heard escaping. Adjust
as necessary. To light, push and hold
ignition button ✬✌ for 5-10 seconds. The
area seen through gap ✭✌ will begin to
glow as it heats up.
NOTE: Do not block the air vents during
operation.
The glue gun and butane must be at room
temperature to ignite correctly.
To switch off, rotate the gas control wheel
until the safety lock is initiated, and allow
to cool down.
Do not leave unattended until cool.

OPERATION & USE
FOLD DOWN STAND (Fig.5).
When the gun is not in use and being
stored, the stand ✮✌ can be folded out of
the way. During operation the stand must
be folded down to allow safe positioning
between gluing.
LOADING GLUE STICK (Fig.6).
Insert the glue stick into the gun through
feeder tube ✯✌. To further load the stick
into the gun, squeeze the trigger several
times.When the glue stick has been used,
a second stick will have to be used to
push out the remains of the previous
stick.
TRIGGER (Fig.7).
To start flow of hot glue, squeeze trigger
✰✌. The trigger may require several
operations initially to begin flow. The glue
sticks must be allowed to heat fully to
flow properly.
