Quick Install Guide
Section 1-2 Troubleshooting the SG-DRL3IP Linecards
Blue LED not Flashing:
•Under normal conditions, the blue LED on every line card will flash
continuously. If the LED is ON solid or OFF, the line card must be reset.
To reset the line card, slide it out of the rack for 5 seconds, then slide it
back in. If the blue LED does not begin to flash as normal, connect a
debug cable. If the line card responds to a HyperTerminal session,
perform a cold boot using HyperTerminal. If the line card does not
respond, please contact SG Technical Support.
Blue LED Flashing:
•If the blue LED is flashing but the line card is not displayed in the Console
software, the Rbus speed of the line card must be manually programmed.
Connect a debug cable and using HyperTerminal, press the ‘W’ key.
HyperTerminal will prompt for an Option number. Enter [00] then press
the ‘Enter’ key. HyperTerminal will prompt for a value. Enter [01] then
press the ‘Enter’ key. The line card must be reset. To perform a reset,
press the ‘R’ then press ‘Y’ to confirm the reset. The line card will take
approximately 60 seconds to finish the reset; afterwards it will be
displayed in the Console software.
Note: When entering commands using HyperTerminal, the numbers
entered will not be displayed until the ‘Enter’ key is pressed.
