Note: The extension cord must have adequate wire size AWG (American Wire Gauge)
for safe, efficient use. Smaller gauge wires have greater capacity (16 gauge wire has
more capacity than 18 gauge wire).
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges,
and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is
grounded.
• Do not expose any power tool to rain or wet condions. Water entering a
power tool will increase the risk of electric shock. If operang the power tool
in damp locaons is unavoidable, a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter must
be used to supply the power to your tool. Use electrician’s rubber gloves
and footwear to further enhance your personal safety in damp condions.
• Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord to carry the tool or to pull the
plug. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Contact
Customer Service if cord is damaged and do not use the saw. Damaged cords
increase the risk of electric shock.
• Do not use tool if it does not turn “ON” or “OFF”. Any tool that cannot be
controlled with the trigger switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
• When operang a power tool outside, always use an outdoor extension
cord with a minimum 13 amp fuse. These cords are rated for outdoor use
and reduce the risk of electric shock. The use of any extension cord will
cause some loss of power. To keep the loss at a minimum and to prevent
overheang, use an extension cord that is heavy enough to carry the current
that the tool will draw. For recommended sizes of extension cords refer to the
following table.

4
PERSONAL SAFETY

KICKBACK AND RELATED WARNINGS
Kickback is a sudden reacon to a pinched or snagged rotang wheel, backing
pad, brush or any other accessory. Pinching or snagging causes rapid stalling of the
rotang accessory which in turn causes the uncontrolled power tool to be forced
in the direcon opposite of the accessory’s rotaon at the point of the binding.
Kickback is the result of power tool misuse and/or incorrect operang procedures
or condions and can be avoided by taking proper precauons as given below.
• Maintain a rm grip on the power tool and posion your body and arm to allow
you to resist kickback forces. Always use auxiliary handle for maximum control
over kickback or torque reacon during start‑up. The operator can control
torque reacons or kickback forces, if proper precauons are taken.
• Never place your hand near the rotang accessory. Accessory may kickback over
your hand.
• Do not posion your body in the area where power tool will move if kickback
occurs. Kickback will propel the tool in direcon opposite to the wheel’s
movement at the point of snagging.
• Use special care when working corners, sharp edges etc. Avoid bouncing and
snagging the accessory. Corners, sharp edges or bouncing have a tendency to
snag the rotang accessory and cause loss of control or kickback.

12
ASSEMBLY
INSTALLING THE SANDING DISCS
Selecng the correct size, grit, and type sanding disc is an important step in
achieving a high quality sanded nish. Aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, and other
synthec abrasives are best for power sanding. Natural abrasives, such as int and
garnet are too so for economical use in power sanding and could be used for ne
or nish sanding.
In general, coarse grit will remove the most material and ner grit will produce the
best nish in all sanding operaons. The condion of the surface to be sanded will
determine which grit will do the job. If the surface is rough, start with a coarse grit
and sand unl the surface is uniform. Medium grit may then be used to remove
scratches le by the coarser grit and ner grit used for nishing of the surface.
Always use the proper grit sanding disc, and not extra pressure when sanding.
Connue sanding with each grit unl surface is uniform.
To install a sanding disc:
The sanding disc consists of two pieces: a 5” inner disc and a 7” outer disc. The
reverse side of each sanding disc has a standard hook‑and‑loop system that holds
the discs securely to the corresponding inner and outer pads on the PS7000.
1. Unplug the PS7000.
2. Place the PS7000 so the mounng surface is facing up.
3. Center and place the 5” sanding disc on the inner pad.
4. Place the 7” sanding disc on the outer pad leaving a small, evenly spaced gap
between the inner and outer discs.
5. Manually rotate the outer disc one full revoluon to ensure no overlapping
with the inner disc occurred during mounng.
Note: The inner disc will rotate as well.

13
ASSEMBLY
WARNING!
Before connecting your sander to a power supply source, make sure the
switch is not in the “lock-on” position. Accidental starting could result in
injury. Always wear protective eyewear when operating the sander.
INSTALLING THE WAX APPLICATOR OR
POLISHING BONNET
A foam wax applicator and a polishing bonnet are included with you PS7000. The
thick, 2‑piece applicator allows to you to easily and smoothly apply wax to almost
any surface. The so lamb’s wool polishing bonnet provides smooth, controlled
polishing and bung. The dual‑counter rotang pads virtually eliminates marring
and swirl marks from tradional orbital waxers.
1. Unplug the PS7000.
2. Place the PS7000 so the mounng surface is facing up.
3. Center and place the 5” wax applicator or bonnet on the inner pad.
4. Place the 7” wax applicator or bonnet on the outer pad leaving a small,
evenly spaced gap between the inner and outer discs.
5. Manually rotate the outer disc one full revoluon to ensure no overlapping
with the inner disc occurred during mounng.
Note: The inner disc will rotate as well.

14
OPERATION
PREPARING FOR OPERATION
The PS7000 has an ergonomically designed handle and body design ensuring
evenly balanced weight to reduce hand and arm fague. The tool is equipped
with a 2‑posion auxiliary handle for ease of operaon. This provides for two‑
hand operaon, which is necessary to maintain proper control and keep both
hands clear of the dual‑rotang discs and your work area.
When operang your polisher/sander, always use both hands. Check the auxiliary
handle before each use and make sure the handle is ght.
SANDING
Always secure the piece you will be sanding to prevent it from moving. Secure
small workpieces in a vise or use clamps to secure them to a workbench.
WARNING!
Unsecured work could be thrown towards the operator causing injury.
To sand:
1. Hold the PS7000 in front and away from you, keeping it clear of the
workpiece.
2. Press the switch trigger to start the sander. Adjust the sanding speed to the
proper rate for the type of sanding being performed using the speed control
dial.
3. Gradually lower the sander the onto workpiece as at as possible so both the
inner and outer counter rotang discs are touching the workpiece.
4. Move the tool evenly over the workpiece, allowing it to operate freely
without unnecessary pressure.

15
OPERATION
WARNING!
Keep a firm on the tool at with both hands at all times. Lost of control
could lead to an injury.
The weight of the sander supplies adequate pressure. Let the sanding disc and
sander do the work. Applying addional pressure only wears sanding discs
rapidly. Excessive pressure will overload the motor causing possible damage from
motor overheang and can result in inferior work. Any nish or resin on wood
may soen from the friconal heat. Do not hold the sander in one spot too long.
Sanding in one spot too long will cause uneven sanding and gouging of the work.
APPLYING WAX/POLISH
Apply wax/polish according to the manufacturer’s instrucons printed on the
label of the wax or polish container. Some polishes should be bued while damp,
where others must be allowed to dry.
To apply wax/polish:
1. Hold the PS7000 in front and away from you, keeping it clear of the
workpiece.
2. Put wax/polish either directly on the surface or on the applicator pad
according to the wax manufacturer’s direcons.
3. Start the tool at low speed and apply the wax/polish evenly with a long
sweeping moon, back and forth, keeping the tool at against the workpiece.
Spread a light coat over a small area. Do not hold the tool in one spot.
4. Move the tool evenly over the work area, allowing it to operate freely
without unnecessary pressure.
Note: The PS7000 was designed so that its weight alone will provide adequate
pressure for applying wax or polish.
WARNING!
Make sure the sanding disc comes to a complete stop before setting
the tool down. A spinning disc could cause the tool to rotate resulting
in damage to the tool or inury to the operator.

16
OPERATION
POLISHING
For best results, always operate the polisher at low speed. Hold the polisher
rmly, allowing it to operate freely without unnecessary pressure. This tool was
designed so that the weight of the tool alone will provide adequate pressure for
polishing at top eciency.
To polish:
1. Hold the PS7000 in front and away from you, keeping it clear of the work area.
2. Press the switch trigger to start the polisher. Adjust the polishing speed to the
desired rate using the speed control dial.
3. Gradually lower the PS7000 against the work surface.
4. Polish with a long sweeping moon, back and forth.
Do not hold the polisher in one spot or use a circular or spiral pattern.
Always start polishing at the top or highest point and work down. This will prevent
light dust or polish film from being thrown upon a completed section. Also, it
eliminates pulling the tool’s power cord over sections already polished.
Surfaces that have an old lm of wax or polish, or that have not been polished or
waxed for an extended period of me, may require a second applicaon. This is
especially true on oxidized surfaces. Heavily oxidized surfaces should be cleaned
with a commercial paste or liquid cleaner before polishing or waxing.

17
MAINTENANCE
POLISH BONNET
• Keep the bonnet clean and free from grit, dirt, or other abrasive parcles.
WARNING!
Check polishing bonnet before each use. Make sure it is clean and free
from any loose particles or foreign objects that may be embedded in
the bonnet. Failure to do so could cause these particles or objects to
be thrown from the tool resulting in possible injury or damage to the
surface being polished.
• When a bonnet becomes dirty or clogged with polishing lm, wash in
lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Allow the bonnet to air dry thoroughly
before reuse.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
• Tool service must be performed by qualied repair personnel. Service or
maintenance performed by unqualied personnel could result in a risk of
injury. Contact Customer Service for informaon on repairs.
• When servicing a tool, always use only idencal replacement parts. Use of
unauthorized parts or failure to follow maintenance instrucons may create a
risk of electric shock or injury.
• Use a clean cloth to remove dirt, dust, etc. Avoid using solvents when cleaning
plasc parts. Most plascs are suscepble to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
• Electric tools are subject to accelerated wear and possible premature failure
when they are used to work on ber glass, wallboard, spackling compounds,
or plaster. The chips and grindings from these materials are highly abrasive
for electrical tool parts, such as bearings, brushes, commutators, etc.
Consequently, clean the tool even more intensely aer working these
materials.
LUBRICATION
All of the bearings in this tool are lubricated with a sucient amount of high grade
lubricant for the life of the tool under normal operang condions. Therefore, no
further lubricaon is required.
