Beforeyouconnectthephone cords,follow thesestepstoinstall
thebatteries:
1.Pushdownthebatterydoor tabwithapenorotherpointed
object andliftthebatterydoorout(Fig.1).
2.Insert3size “AA”alkalinebatteriesasshowninsidethe
battery compartment(Fig. 2&Fig. 3).(The negativeside(–)of
thebatterytouchesthebatteryspring.)
3.Replacethebatterydoorandsnapitshut(Fig.4).
•Whenthe batteriesaredead,the displaywillnotshow
anything.Youcan stillmakeorreceivecalls, butyoucan t use
theCallerID functions.
•Ifyourbatteriesbecomecompletelydrained,yourcaller ID data
andmemoriesmaybelost.

Youmayneedtosetup theLCD contrast, language,areacode,
timeanddate,andtoneorpulsemodeforyourtelephone when
youinstallthebatteriesforthe firsttimeorwhenyoumovetoan
areathathasadifferentareacode.Thisisnecessarybecausethe
phonemustdistinguishlocal orlong distancecallstoproperly dial
callsfrom the CallerID list.

DELETE
button,thenpress
theDOWN button,theLCD CONTRAST(5-
greylevel)willshowin thedisplay.Usethe
UPor DOWNbuttontoselect thesuitablegrey-
leveland presstheDELETEbutton toaccept.
Afterwards,yourphone will nowgototheTimeandDatemode,
pressthe UPorDOWNbuttontogetthecorrect numberandpress
theDELETEbutton toaccept. Then the phone will askyouto
select Tone or Pulsemode,press theUPor DOWNbutton to

CallerID allows thecaller sphonenumbertobe shownin the

IDservice.

Tousethe Message Waiting feature,you mustsubscribe tothis
serviceifavailable fromyour local telephone company.
Thisphone will onlyrespond toFSK type ofmessage delivery.
1.If the messageissentbythe telephone companywhichis
precededbyaring,the MESSAGE WAITINGsymbol
will appear in the display.
2.After you retrieveyour message(s),the telephone company
willsend aclear signal(byaring)toyourphone.Thesymbol
will turnoffuntilanewmessage isreceived.
Sometimesthe telephone company will notsend amessage
clear signal toyour phone,then you will havetoclear the
message waiting symbol manuallybyholding the DELETE
button,then pressing the UPbutton.
Note: You can deletethe dataeitherwhen thehandsetison
thebaseoritispicked up.

sufficientstrength.Ifmounting on thewallboardorinan areaof
questionable strength,usedrywallexpandersor locateawall
studformaximumsupportofyourtelephone.
4.Connectthestraightshortcordtothe phoneandjack.
5.Placethe TELEPHONEBASEon the2mountingscrews and
gentlypushdowntolockintoplace.
