Beforeyouconnectthephone cords,follow thesestepstoinstall
thebatteries:
1.Pushdownthebatterydoor tabwithapenorotherpointed
object andliftthebatterydoorout(Fig.1).
2.Insert3size “AA”alkalinebatteriesasshowninsidethe
battery compartment(Fig. 2&Fig. 3).(The negativeside(–)of
thebatterytouchesthebatteryspring.)
3.Replacethebatterydoorandsnapitshut(Fig.4).
•Whenthe batteriesaredead,the displaywillnotshow
anything.Youcan stillmakeorreceivecalls, butyoucan t use
theCallerID functions.
•Ifyourbatteriesbecomecompletelydrained,yourcaller ID data
andmemoriesmaybelost.

Youmayneedtosetup theLCD contrast, language,areacode,
timeanddate,andtoneorpulsemodeforyourtelephone when
youinstallthebatteriesforthe firsttimeorwhenyoumovetoan
areathathasadifferentareacode.Thisisnecessarybecausethe
phonemustdistinguishlocal orlong distancecallstoproperly dial
callsfrom the CallerID list.
Press and holdthe DELETE button,thenpress
theDOWN button,theLCD CONTRAST(5-
greylevel)willshowin thedisplay.Usethe
UPor DOWNbuttontoselect thesuitablegrey-
leveland presstheDELETEbutton toaccept.
Afterwards,yourphone will nowgototheTimeandDatemode,
pressthe UPorDOWNbuttontogetthecorrect numberandpress
theDELETEbutton toaccept. Then the phone will askyouto
select Tone or Pulsemode,press theUPor DOWNbutton to
selectyourdesireddialingmode(“>”flashesbeforeit)andpress
theDELETEbutton toconfirmuntilthenormaldisplayshows.

- When thecall ismadethrough atelephone companywhich
doesnotofferCallerIDservice(includinginternational
calls),the displaywill show UNAVAILABLE ” .
- When the call is “blocked”.Forprivacy reasons, manystates
allowcallersthe option topreventhisorher telephone data
frombeing displayed on the other party sCaller IDdisplay.
Thedisplaywillshow PRIVATECALL ”.
- Ifthecallisfromanofficewhichusesmultiple lines, the
displayed phonenumber maynotmatchthenumberyou
usetocall thatextension.
- If you havepicked upthe phone before the secondring.
You canlookthroughthe datainthe Caller ID list tocheck the
numbersand namesofthe callsreceived.
1.Press the DOWNbutton. The dataof the newest call appears
for 20 seconds.
2.Press the DOWNbutton toview datafromnewtoold,and the
UPbutton fromold tonew.
When you havereached the last (newest)call bypressing
theUPbutton, “ ENDOFLIST ” appears.IfyoupressUP
buttonagain,the displaywillshowthe first (oldest)call.
Whenyou havereached the first (oldest)call bypressing
theDOWN button, “ ENDOFLIST ” appears.Ifyoupressthe
DOWN buttonagain,the displaywillshowthe last(newest)call.
Youcanviewthe CallerID listduringconversationalsoby
following the stepsabove.
NOTE:Ifbatteries are weak,theLOWBATTERYINDICATOR
isdisplayed.Replacenewbatteriesassoonaspossible;
otherwisetheCallerIDlistandmemoriesmaybe erased.

CallerID allows thecaller sphonenumbertobe shownin the
displayafterthesecondringofthecall,alsoinmostcases,the
caller s name,calling timeanddate.This informationwillbestored
automatically.
Inordertoenjoythisfeature,youmustfirst subscribetotheCaller
IDservice.
Tousethecallbackfeature,set theareacode(refertopage7).

willsend aclear signal(byaring)toyourphone.Thesymbol
will turnoffuntilanewmessage isreceived.
Sometimesthe telephone company will notsend amessage
clear signal toyour phone,then you will havetoclear the
message waiting symbol manuallybyholding the DELETE
button,then pressing the UPbutton.
Note: You can deletethe dataeitherwhen thehandsetison
