and intothe VIDEOINjack on the back ofyourTVset. Thisisespeciallyconvenientif
yourTVhasseveral inputs.
3. Insertthe ACpowercordintoan ACoutlet.
4. Makesurethe POWERswitchon the back ofthe main setisat “ON”position.Nextpress
the ON/STANDBYbutton on the frontofthe main setoron the REMOTECONTROLto
switchthe seton (orstandby).
5. Press the SOURCEbutton tillthe DVDindicatorlights.
NOTE:Thefactory sdefaultinputsourceisDVD.WhenthesetisturnedtoON,theDVD
indicatorwill be on,press the SOURCEbutton toturnon the MP3indicatorifyou use
the 3.5mm plug audio cable.

NOTE: The STANDBYindicatorhas2modes:flashingand steadilyon (slowflashing
indicatesthe setisinstandbymode, steadilyonindicatesthesetison).Whentheset
ison,pressing the ON/STANDBYbutton on the main setoron the REMOTE
CONTROLwillturnthe settothestandbymode,the indicatorwillbecomeslow
flashing.

NOTE: Flip the POWERswitchon the back ofthe main setto “OFF”ifthe setwill notbe used
foralong period oftime (several days ormore).

About fuse replacement
NOTE: Beforeattempting tochange the fuse,the system mustbe unplugged from the wall outlet.
Intheunusualeventthatnothinglightsupand no sound,yourfusemayhaveblown.Tocheckfor
ablownfuse,followthestepsbelow.
1. Open the fusecover(on the back of
themain set)byusingaflatblade
screwdrivertounscrewthe fusecovercap.
2. Examine the fuse.If awireshows,
the fuseisgood.
3. If the wireisbroken inthemiddle,
replacewitha500mA250V “T”type
glass fuse.

3.One of the safetymechanismsmaybe operating.Inthisevent,
unplug the playerfrom the poweroutletbrieflyand then plug
itin again toresetthe set.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom Remedy
•Nosound oronlyavery
low-levelsoundisheard.
•Distortedsound.
1.Check thatthe speakersandcomponentsareconnected
securelyandcorrectly,makesurethe stripped end ofeach
speakerwiresdoesnottoucheachothertoavoidshort-circuit
ofthe speakerwires(see Page 8,9).
2.Makesureyoursource(DVDorother) isplugged in and
operating.Alsocheck thatcomponent sbooklet,maybeyou
needadjustthatcomponent.
3.Check and makesureyourDVD ssound outputissetto
analog.Forsome DVDs,ifthesound outputisnotsetto
analog,the audio cablesmaynotbe activeand therewill be
no soundoutput.
4.Makesurethatyou haveselected the correctsourceon the
system (DVDorMP3).
5.Adjustthe set svolume settingson the frontoftheHOME
THEATERorontheremote,alsoadjustthevolumeofthe
inputsource.
6.Ensurethe MUTEbutton isnot pressed on the HOMETHEATER
remote(If yes,press theMUTEbutton again).
7.Theaudioorspeakerconnectingwiresaredamaged.Replace
them withnewones.
The REMOTECONTROL
unitdoesnotwork.
1.Check ifthe batteriesareinstalled withthe correctpolarities
(+and -).
2.If thebatteriesareweakordead,replacethem withnew
ones(size “AAA”).
3.Pointthe remotecontrol unitatadistanceofless than 20 feet
from the main unitofthe HOMETHEATERsystem.
4.Removeanyobstaclesbetweenthe remotecontrolunitand
remotecontrolsensor.
5.If the batteryterminalsaredirtyorcorroded,clean them with
sandpaper.
Theleftandrightsoundsare
unbalanced orreversed.
Check thatthespeakersand componentsareconnected cor-
rectlyand securely.
Press the POWERbutton on the back ofthe MAINSETtoturn
the setON.Then press the ON/STANDBYbutton on the main
setoron the REMOTE.The HOMETHEATERmaynotbe
operatingproperlyduetolightning,staticelectricity,orsome
otherexternal factors.Resettheplayerbydisconnectingthe
powerplugandthenre-connecting itbeforecallingcustomer
service.Alsocheck the Fuse.See page 16.
