EARMUFF 78228 User manual

ATTENTION
If this hearing protection is worn in accordance with the operating instructions, it helps to
reduce the burdening of continuous and industrial noise, as well as the noise of vehicles
and aircraft. The required and / or existing hearing protection during the burdening to sound
peaks is difficult to predict. The insulation performance depends, among other things, on the
correct selection, the fit and use of the hearing protection, the proper care of the hearing
protection and other parameters.
This hearing protection has an electrical audio input. The user should check, if that is
working correctly before use. If distortion or errors are discovered, the user should refer to
the manufacturer's recommendations.
This hearing protection limits the audio signal of the audio entertainment function to an
effective sound pressure level of 82dB (A) at the ear.
Operating temperature range: -10 ° C to 40 ° C
Storage temperature range: -10 ° C to 40 ° C
Weight of hearing protection: 352g

Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious health damage or death:
Listening to music or other audio sources can worsen your awareness of the situation and your
ability to hear warning signals. Stay alert and set the volume of the audio signals to the lowest
possible level. While the entertainment function is in use, the audibility of warning signals may be
impaired in certain workplaces. Failure to follow these instructions can reduce the level of
protection, provided by hearing protection and lead to hearing loss:
RC-Profis strongly recommends a personal Tight fit test for hearing protection. If the sound
insulation value or SNR is used to achieve typical workplace protection,
RC-Profis recommend that the sound insulation value should be reduced by 50% or according to
the applicable regulations.
The hearing protection must be carefully selected, fit, adapted and maintained in accordance with
the manufacturer's instructions. A bad fit of this device will reduce the soundproofing effect. The
enclosed instructions must be followed so that the hearing protection fits properly. This hearing
protection is in the size range "S / M / L"
The hearing protection must be checked carefully before each use. If the device is damaged, use
undamaged hearing protection or avoid noisy environments.
If additional personal protective equipment is required (e.g. protective goggles, respiratory
protection mask, etc.) use such with flexible, thin temples or straps in order to minimize the
influence on the sealing rings. All other objects that are not required (e.g. hair, hats, jewelry,
headphones, hygiene covers, etc.) that could affect the sealing rings and reduce the protection of
the hearing protection must be removed.
The headband must not be bent or deformed and the hearing protection must be held in place with
sufficient force.
The hearing protection and especially the sealing rings can show signs of aging over time. The
device must therefore be checked regularly for the need of maintenance.
The output of the Audio sources of these hearing protection devices may exceed the daily sound
level limit. Set the volume of the audio signals to the lowest possible level.
Safety statements according to EN 352:
➢Hygiene requirements on the sealing rings can impair the acoustic performance of the
hearing protection
➢ The Performance can be deteriorated with the operating time of the battery. The typical
expected operating time of the hearing protection battery is up to approx. 40 hours.
➢ This product can be affected by certain chemical substances. Further information can be
requsted from the manufacturer.
➢ The sound output can exceed the external sound level.
DANGER:
Risk of explosion if batteries are replaced with the wrong type. Hearing
protection should be worn without interruption in noisy areas.
