GENERAL INFORMATION
When using the Floor Lamp, basic safety precautions should be observed. PLEASE
READ AND SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE Floor Lamp.
1. To avoid possible electrocution, do not operate this lamp near a water source.
2. For indoor use only.
3. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
4. You may use up to a 40W incandescent light bulb. An 18W CFL bulb or 13.5W
LED bulb is recommended.
5. Always turn the lamp off, unplug the lamp, and allow the bulb to cool
completely before replacing the bulb or installing a new bulb.
6. Unplug the Floor Lamp from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
7. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or Floor Lamp
base in water or any other liquid.
8. Do not use in a bathroom or any other damp place.
9. It is recommended that you unplug the lamp during lightning storms or when
not in use for long periods of time.
10. Do not cut or shorten the power cord.
11. Always lift the lamp by the shaft.
12. Do not adjust shade once it is tightened.
13. Check your local regulations regarding the disposal or recycling of your CFL
bulb. The EPA recommends that consumers take advantage of available local
options for recycling rather than disposing of them in regular household trash.
Your area may require recycling of CFL bulbs. Visit search.Earth911.com to
contact your local waste collection agency if necessary which can tell you if
such a requirement exists in your state or locality.
14. Do not operate the Floor Lamp with a damaged cord or plug, or if the Floor
Lamp malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the Floor
Lamp to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or
refund.
15. Never move the Floor Lamp by pulling the cord.
16. Place the lamp on a flat surface and ensure there are no flammable materials
around it.
17. Do not use the Floor Lamp with a damaged outlet.
18. Make sure hands are dry when plugging in and unplugging the Floor Lamp.
19. Do not use this Floor Lamp for other than intended use.
20. This Floor Lamp is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
the use of the Floor Lamp by a person responsible for their safety.
