The firmware update

Reference:
Please make sure that all your personal data
are saved of the EasyPad Junior 4.0.
ATTENTION!
The firmware update will erase all data from the memory of the device.
Please open the file epj40_40_121214.zip

Please extract the file epj40_40_121214.zip to C:\

The installation
__________________________________________________________
Please turn off your EasyPad Junior 4.0.
Please also get sure that the charger is PLUGED OFF the EasyPad.
Please press the button " M "on the EasyPad Junior 4.0 and hold it while connecting the device
with the USB cable to the PC.
After connecting the device, please release the button.
Now, this window appears on the PC:

Please select "No, not this time"
and click the next-button to continue.

„Install from a list ... „
and click the next-button to continue.

Please select „Search for the driver ...“
and mark also „Following location in the search“
and click the next-button to search.

Please navigate to the directory „C:\epj40_40_121214\RK291X Rockusb driver\ ... “
+ your processor (amd64 oder x86)
+ your operating system (2000, Vista, Win7 oder XP)
and please confirm with

Please click the next-button to continue.

Please click the button to continue the installation.

Please click the button to complete the installation – the installation will be completed.
After that you can disconnect the EasyPad Junior 4.0 from the PC.

Firmware update

Please make sure that no other programs are running on your PC.
Please start the program RKBatchTool in the directory C:\epj40_40_121214\2.0 sdk update tool

Please press the button " M "on the EasyPad Junior 4.0 and keep it pressed while connecting
the device with the USB cable to the PC.
After connecting the device, you can release the button.
Now the area „Device1“becomes coloured:

Please confirm by selecting the button „Upgrade“.
After the message "Upgrade Done Success"appeared (this takes about 5 minutes)
you can disconnect the EasyPad Junior 4.0 from the PC.
This makes the update process complete and you can continue working
on your EasyPad Junior 4.0 as usual.
