Introduction
The i-wifi01 Wi-Fi module allows
Eaton control units that have an RJ-45
ethernet port to connect wirelessly to
a network.
Before you Start
Note: This product must be installed
by qualified service personnel.
These instructions must be read in
conjunction with the control unit’s
installation instructions.
Check the following points before
you start:
• Wi-Fi-enabled device –You will need
a laptop, smart phone or tablet to
set up and configure the i-wifi01.
• Mobile data – If you are using a
mobile phone, it is advisable to
disable mobile data during the
configuration process.
• SSID and WI-Fi password –You will
need the name and password of the
Wi-Fi network.The password must
not contain special characters, such
as “@” and “!”.
• Repeaters – If there are Wi-Fi
repeaters in the property, power
them down before attempting to link
the i-wifi01 to the main router.
• DHCP – The router should have
DHCP enabled (the default for most
routers) to enable the router to
assign an IP address automatically to
the i-wifi01. DHCP is recommended
for all network devices, including the
control panel.
• Band steering – Band steering allows
a router to move devices between
2.4GHz and 5GHz if the devices
support the two frequencies. It is
advisable to switch off band steering
in the router settings (if supported),
as it can cause unwanted
disconnections of the i-wifi01, even
though the i-wifi01 supports only
2.4GHz.
Installing the Module
Step 1 – Mount and Connect the
i-wifi01
1. Disconnect mains power from the
control unit, open the lid of the
control unit and disconnect its
backup battery.
2. Mount the i-wifi01:
• i-on40H and i-on30R – Mount
in the area to the side of the
battery (not on the battery).
• i-on Style – Mount on the
bottom side of the battery
compartment.
• i-on Compact – Mount on
the right side of the battery
compartment.
The i-wifi01 must not be mounted
near any source of heat or near
radio antenna.
3. Connect the DC-DC converter:
• Red wire to AUX 12Vdc at the
control unit.
• Black wire to 0V at the control
unit.
• Jack plug to i-wifi01.
Do not connect the i-wifi01
networkcable (you will do this
later).
Note: Do not replace the DC-DC
converter with an alternative power
supply.
4. Reconnect the backup battery, then
switch on the mains supply.
WARNING: Mains voltages are
present on the shrouded heads
of the mains terminal screws and
on the fuse holder connections.
Please refer to the control unit’s
installation instructions for
details of the locations of these
components.
Step 2 – Access the Web Interface
1. Reconnect the backup battery, refit
the lid, then switch on the mains
supply.
2. Using a Wi-Fi-enabled laptop
or other device, connect to the

“secureconnectwifi” wireless
network using the security key
“12345678”. You may need to wait
for up to two minutes before you
can see the network.
You may see a message such as
“Connected, No Internet”. This is
normal.
3. Open a browser and in the address
bar, enter:
http://secureconnectwifi.cfg.
4. When prompted, log in to the
module’s web interface. The default
username and password are both
“eaton” (lowercase).
5. Click System Settings , and change
the username and password of
the web interface. Record this
information securely for future
reference.
6. Click Apply . “Configuration
Successfully” is displayed briefly.
Note: Do not change any settings
in the LAN Settings page.
Step 3 – Connect to a
Wi-Fi Network
1. Click Scan Hotspots , and select the
customer’s wireless network you
want the control unit to use:
If the network is not displayed,
click Scan Hotspots again.
2. Check the signal strength. If Signal
is less than 50, the connection to
the router may be unstable.
3. Click Next .
4. Enter the password of the network
you selected (no indication of an
incorrect password will be given,
so check that it is correct), then
click Apply .

5. The i-wifi01 attempts to connect to
the router. If successful, you may
see (depending on the browser):
• Can’t get config response –
This is not a problem; click OK .
• An option to re-boot –
Click RE-BOOT .
6. Check that the i-wifi01 has
connected to the Wi-Fi network as
follows:
• If the blue LED on the i-wifi01 is
flashing quickly, the connection
is successful.
• If the blue LED is flashing
slowly (about twice per second),
there is no connection. In this
case, factory-reset the i-wifi01
(see below), then restart the
procedure from “Step 2 - Access
the Web Interface”.
7. Close the web browser
8. Attach the network cable from
the i-wifi01 to the RJ-45 Ethernet
socket on the control unit.
9. Check the status of the connection
to the control unit:
• If the green LED on the i-wifi01
is flashing, the connection is
successful.
• If the green LED is not flashing,
there is no connection. In this
case, power cycle the control
unit and i-wifi01, then check the
status again.
10. The i-wifi01 is now ready to use.
Using the control unit’s Installer
menu, configure the system.
Additional information
To access the web interface: in the
address bar, enter
http://secureconnectwifi.cfg at any
computer on the network.
To factory-reset the module: with the
unit powered up, press and hold the
reset button for 30 seconds (e.g. using
a screwdriver). Wait one minute to
allow the device to reboot fully (do not
remove power during this period).
Blue LED: Flashing quickly –Wi-Fi
connectivity to router is normal.
Flashing slowly –Wi-Fi connectivity
torouter has failed.
Green LED: Flashing –LAN
connectivity is normal. No flashing –
No LAN connectivity.

Das i-wifi01-WLAN-Modul ermöglicht

Hinweis: Dieses Produkt muss von

Installationsanleitung der Zentrale
gelesen werden.
Überprüfen Sie als Erstes folgende
Punkte:
• WLAN-fähiges Gerät: Zur Einrichtung
und Konfiguration des i-wifi01 wird
ein Laptop, Smartphone oderTablet
benötigt.
• Mobile Daten: Bei Verwendung
eines Mobiltelefons wird empfohlen,
mobile Daten während der
Konfiguration zu deaktivieren.
• SSID und WLAN-Passwort: Sie
benötigen den Namen und das
Passwort des WLAN-Netzwerks. Das
Passwort darf keine Sonderzeichen
wie „@“ und „!“ enthalten.
• Repeater: Wenn sich im Objekt
WLAN-Repeater befinden, schalten
Sie diese aus, bevor Sie den i-wifi01
mit dem Hauptrouter verbinden.
• DHCP: Im Router sollte DHCP
aktiviert sein (standardmäßig bei
den meisten Routern der Fall),
sodass der Router dem i-wifi01
automatisch eine IP-Adresse
zuweisen kann. DHCP wird für
alle Netzwerkgeräte empfohlen,
einschließlich der Zentrale.
• Band Steering: Mit Band Steering
kann ein Router dafür sorgen, dass
Geräte zwischen 2,4GHz und 5GHz
wechseln, sofern die Geräte beide
Frequenzbänder unterstützen. Es wird
empfohlen, Band Steering in den
Routereinstellungen (falls unterstützt)
zu deaktivieren, da es zu uner-
wünschten Verbindungsabbrüchen
des i-wifi01 führen kann, auch wenn
der i-wifi01 nur 2,4GHz unterstützt.
Installation des Moduls
Schritt1: i-wifi01 einbauen und
verbinden
1. Trennen Sie die Zentrale vom
Stromnetz, öffnen Sie den Deckel
der Zentrale und trennen Sie die
Notstrombatterie.
2. Bauen Sie den i-wifi01 wie folgt ein:
• i-on40H und i-on30R – neben der
Batterie (nicht an der Batterie)
• i-on Style – Unterseite des
Batteriefachs
• i-on Compact – rechte Seite des
Batteriefachs
Der i-wifi01 darf nicht in der
Nähe von Wärmequellen oder
Funkantennen angebracht werden.
3. Schließen Sie den
Gleichspannungswandler an:
• Roter Leiter an AUX12VDC an
der Zentrale.

Wenn das Netzwerk nicht angezeigt
wird, klicken Sie erneut auf Scan
Hotspots (Hotspots suchen).
2. Überprüfen Sie die Signalstärke.
Wenn das Signal schwächer als 50
ist, ist die Verbindung zum Router
möglicherweise instabil.
3. Klicken Sie auf Next (Weiter).
4. Geben Sie das Passwort des ausge-
wählten Netzwerks ein (es gibt
keinen Hinweis bei einem falschen
Passwort, prüfen Sie daher, dass
es korrekt ist) und klicken Sie dann
auf Apply (Übernehmen).
Ändern Sie keine anderen
Einstellungen.
5. Der i-wifi01 versucht, sich mit dem
Router zu verbinden. Wenn der
Verbindungsaufbau erfolgreich ist,
wird möglicherweise Folgendes
angezeigt (je nach Browser):
• Can’t get config response (Keine
Konfigurationsantwort)– Das ist
kein Problem. Klicken Sie auf OK .
• Ein Option zum Neustart–
Klicken Sie auf RE-BOOT (Neu
starten).
6. Überprüfen Sie wie folgt, dass der
i-wifi01 mit dem WLAN-Netzwerk
verbunden ist:
• Wenn die blaue LED am
i-wifi01 schnell blinkt, ist eine
Verbindung hergestellt.
• Wenn die blaue LED langsam
blinkt (etwa zweimal pro
Sekunde), besteht keine
Verbindung. Setzen Sie in
diesem Fall den i-wifi01 auf
die Werkseinstellung zurück
(siehe unten) und wiederholen
Sie die Schritte ab „Schritt2:
Webschnittstelle aufrufen“.
7. Schließen Sie den Web-Browser.
8. Schließen Sie das Netzwerkkabel an
den i-wifi01 und die RJ-45-Ethernet-
Buchse an der Zentrale an.
9. Überprüfen Sie den Status der
Verbindung zur Zentrale:
• Wenn die grüne LED am i-wifi01
blinkt, ist eine Verbindung
hergestellt.
• Wenn die grüne LED nicht
blinkt, besteht keine Verbindung.
Schalten Sie in diesem Fall die
Zentrale und den i-wifi01 aus
und wieder ein und überprüfen
Sie den Status erneut.
• Schwarzer Leiter an 0V an der
Zentrale.
• Klinkenstecker an i-wifi01.
Schließen Sie das i-wifi01-Netz-
werkkabel noch nicht an (dies
erfolgt später).
Hinweis: Gleichspannungswandler
keinesfalls durch ein anderes
Netzteil ersetzen.
4. Schließen Sie die Notstrombatterie
wieder an und schalten Sie die
Netzstromversorgung ein.
WARNUNG: An den abgeschirmten
Köpfen der Klemmenschrauben
des Netzanschlusses sowie an den
Anschlüssen des Sicherungshalters
liegt Spannung an. Einzelheiten zur
Lage dieser Komponenten finden
Sie in der Installationsanleitung der
Zentrale.
Schritt 2: Webschnittstelle
aufrufen
1. Schließen Sie die Notstrombatterie
wieder an, bringen Sie den Deckel
wieder an und schalten Sie die
Netzstromversorgung ein.
2. Verbinden Sie sich mit einem
WLAN-fähigen Laptop oder
anderem geeigneten Gerät unter
Verwendung des Sicherheits-
schlüssels „12345678“ mit
dem Drahtlosnetzwerk
„secureconnectwifi“. Es kann bis
zu zwei Minuten dauern, bis das
Netzwerk angezeigt wird.
Möglicherweise wird eine Meldung
wie „Connected, No Internet“
(Verbunden, kein Internetzugriff)
angezeigt. Das ist normal.
3. Öffnen Sie einen Browser und
geben Sie in die Adresszeile
Folgendes ein:

4. Melden Sie sich auf Aufforderung
bei der Webschnittstelle des
Moduls an. Die Voreinstellung

tionen sicher für die Zukunft.
6. Klicken Sie auf Apply

Successfully“ (Konfiguration
erfolgreich) angezeigt.

Änderungen auf der Seite LAN

Schritt3: Mit einem WLAN-
Netzwerk verbinden
1. Klicken Sie auf Scan Hotspots

• Appareil Wi-Fi – Vous devrez installer
et configurer l’i-wifi01 depuis un
ordinateur portable, un smartphone
ou une tablette.
• Données mobiles – Si vous utilisez
un téléphone portable, il est conseillé
de désactiver les données mobiles
au cours de la configuration.
• SSID et mot de passe Wi-Fi – Vous
devrez vous munir du nom et du
mot de passe du réseau Wi-Fi. Le
mot de passe ne doit pas contenir
decaractères spéciaux tels que
«@» et «!».
• Répéteurs – Si l’installation comprend
des répéteurs Wi-Fi, mettez- les hors
tension avant de connecter l’i-wifi01
au routeur principal.
• DHCP – Le routeur doit avoir la
fonctionnalité DHCP activée (par
défaut sur la plupart des routeurs)
pour permettre au routeur d’assigner
automatiquement une adresse
IP à l’i-wifi01. La fonction DHCP
est recommandée pour tous les
périphériques réseau, y compris
lepanneau de configuration.
• Band steering – La fonctionnalité
band steering permet à un routeur
de faire basculer les périphériques
entre 2,4 GHz et 5 GHz à condition
que les périphériques prennent
en charge les deux fréquences.
Il est conseillé de désactiver le
band steering dans les réglages
du routeur (si prise en charge)
pour éviter des déconnexions
intempestives de l’i-wifi01, même si
l’i-wifi01 convient uniquement à une
fréquence de 2,4 GHz.
Installation du module
Étape 1 – Monter et connecter
l’i-wifi01
1. Débranchez l’alimentation secteur
de la centrale d’alarme, ouvrez le
couvercle de la centrale d’alarme
puis débranchez sa batterie de
secours.
2. Insérez l’i-wifi01 comme suit :
• i-on40H et i-on30R – Montez sur
la face latérale de la batterie (pas
sur la batterie).
• i-on Style – Montez sur le fond
du compartiment de la batterie.
• i-on Compact – Montez sur le
côté droit du compartiment de
la batterie.
Le système i-wifi01 ne doit pas
être installé près d’une source de
chaleur ou d’une antenne radio.
3. Connectez le convertisseur CC-CC :
• Fil rouge à la prise AUX 12Vdc
de la centrale d’alarme.
• Fil noir sur 0V de la centrale
d’alarme.
• Prise jack vers l’i-wifi01.
Ne pas brancher le câble réseau
i-wifi01 (vous le ferez plus tard).
Remarque: Ne remplacez pas le
convertisseur CC-CC par une autre
alimentation électrique.
4. Rebranchez la batterie de secours
puis rétablissez l’alimentation
secteur.
AVERTISSEMENT: des tensions
de secteur sont présentes sur
les têtes recouvertes des vis du
bornier du connecteur secteur
et sur les connexions du porte-
fusible. Pour plus d’informations
sur l’emplacement de ces
composants, reportez-vous au
guide d’installation de la centrale
d’alarme.
Étape2 – Accès à l’interface
Internet
1. Rebranchez la batterie de secours,
remettez le couvercle en place puis
rétablissez l’alimentation secteur.
2. À l’aide d’un ordinateur portable
ou d’un autre appareil Wi-Fi,
connectez-vous au réseau sans fil
«secureconnectwifi» en utilisant
le code de sécurité «12345678».
Vous devrez patienter jusqu’à deux
minutes avant de voir le réseau.
Un message de type « Connecté,
pas d’accès Internet » peut
s’afficher. Ceci est normal.
3. Ouvrez un navigateur puis tapez
«http://secureconnectwifi.cfg»
dans la barre d’adresses.
4. Lorsque vous y êtes invité,
connectez-vous à l’interface
Internet du module. Le nom
d’utilisateur et le mot de passe
pardéfaut sont tous les deux
«eaton» (en minuscules).
5. Cliquez sur System Settings
(Paramètres système), puis changez
le nom d’utilisateur et le mot
de passe de l’interface Internet.
Conservez ces informations
en lieu sûr pour vous y référer
ultérieurement.
6. Cliquez sur Apply (Appliquer).
« Configuration Successfully »
(configuration réussie ) s’affiche
brièvement.
Remarque: ne changez aucun
paramètre dans la page LAN
Settings (Paramètres LAN).
Étape 3 – Connexion à un réseau
sans fil
1. Cliquez sur Scan Hotspots
(Rechercher des points d’accès)
et choisissez le réseau sans fil du
client que doit utiliser la centrale
d’alarme :
Si le réseau ne s’affiche pas,
cliquez à nouveau sur Scan
Hotspots .

n’est pas un problème ; cliquez
sur OK .
• Une option de redémarrage
– Cliquez sur RE-BOOT
(REDÉMARRER).
6. Vérifiez que l’i-wifi01 s’est connecté
au réseau Wi-Fi comme suit :
• Si la LED bleue de l’i-wifi01
clignote rapidement, cela signifie
que la connexion est réussie.
• Si la LED bleue clignote
lentement (environ deux fois
par seconde), cela signifie qu’il
n’y a pas de connexion. Dans
ce cas, réinitialisez l’i-wifi01
(voir ci-dessous) puis répétez la
procédure à partir de l’«Étape 2 -
Accès à l’Interface Internet ».
7. Fermez le navigateur Internet
8. Branchez le câble réseau entre
l’i-wifi01 et la prise RJ-45 de la
centrale d’alarme.
9. Vérifiez l’état de la connexion à la
centrale d’alarme.
• Si la LED verte de l’i-wifi01
clignote, cela signifie que la
connexion est réussie.
• Si la LED verte ne clignote pas,
cela signifie qu’il n’y a pas de
connexion. Dans ce cas, mettez
la centrale d’alarme et l’i-wifi01
sous tension puis revérifiez
l’état.
10. L’i-wifi01 est maintenant prêt à
l’emploi. Configurez le système à
l’aide du menu Installateur de la
centrale d’alarme.

dans la barre d’adresses, saisissez
http://secureconnectwifi.cfg sur un
ordinateur quelconque du réseau.
Pour réinitialiser le module aux para-
mètres d’usine:maintenez le bouton
de remise à zéro enfoncé (avec un
tournevis par exemple) pendant
30secondes tout en appliquant une
tension. Patientez une minute pour
permettre au dispositif de redémarrer
entièrement (ne pas couper
l’alimentation électrique pendant ce
temps).

Il modulo Wi-Fi i-wifi01 consente alle
centrali di allarme Eaton dotate di
porta ethernet RJ-45 di connettersi a
una rete in modalità wireless.
Prima di iniziare
Nota: Questo prodotto deve essere
installato da personale tecnico
qualificato. Queste istruzioni devono
essere lette congiuntamente con le
istruzioni di installazione della centrale
di allarme.
Prima di iniziare verificare i seguenti
punti:
• Dispositivo abilitato al Wi-Fi: per
impostare e configurare l’i-wifi01
è necessario un laptop, uno
smartphone o un tablet.
• Dati mobili: se si utilizza un
cellulare, è consigliabile disattivare
i dati mobili durante il processo di
configurazione.
• SSID e password WI-Fi: è necessario
disporre del nome e della password
della rete Wi-Fi. La password deve
contenere un carattere speciale, ad
es. “@” o “!”.

• Ripetitori: se vi sono ripetitori
Wi-Fi nella zona, spegnerli prima
di provare a collegare l’i-wifi01 al
router principale.
• DHCP: il router deve essere abilitato
al DHCP (protocollo predefinito per
la maggior parte dei router) per
poter assegnare automaticamente
un indirizzo IP all’i-wifi01. Il DHCP è
consigliato per tutti i dispositivi di
rete, incluso il pannello di controllo.
• Band steering: il band steering
consente al router di indirizzare
i dispositivi ai 2.4HGHz e i 5GHz,
se i dispositivi supportano le
due frequenze. È consigliabile
spegnere ilband steering durante
l’impostazione del router (se
possibile), dal momento che
potrebbe causare improvvise
disconnessioni dell’i-wifi01, anche
sel’i-wifi01 supporta solo i 2.4GHz.
Installazione del modulo
Fase 1: montaggio e
collegamento dell’i-wifi01
1. Scollegare l’alimentazione dalla
centrale di allarme, aprire il
coperchio della centrale di allarme
e scollegare la batteria di backup.
2. Montaggio dell’ i-wifi01:
• i-on40H e i-on30R: montare
nell’area laterale della batteria
(non sulla batteria).
• i-on Style: montarli nell’area
inferiore del comparto della
batteria.
• i-on Compact: montarli nell’area
inferiore del comparto della
batteria.
L’i-wifi01 non deve essere montato
in prossimità di fonti di calore o
vicino ad antenne radio.
3. Collegare il convertitore CC-CC:
• Cavo rosso a AUX 12 Vcc sulla
centrale di allarme.
• Cavo nero a 0 V sulla centrale di
allarme.
• Spina jack a i-wifi01.
Non connettere il cavo di rete
dell’i-wifi01 (verrà collegato
successivamente).
Nota: non sostituire il convertitore
CC-CC con un alimentatore
alternativo.
4. Ricollegare la batteria di backup
e quindi collegare l’alimentazione
di rete.
AVVERTENZA: La tensione di
alimentazione maggiore è presente
nella parte superiore delle viti del
principali connettori terminali o
sulle connessioni del supporto per
fusibili. Per i dettagli sulle posizioni
di questi componenti, fare riferi-
mento alle istruzioni di installa-
zione della centrale di allarme.
Fase 2: accesso all’interfaccia web
1. Ricollegare la batteria di backup,
rimontare il coperchio e quindi
collegare l’alimentazione di rete.
2. Utilizzando un laptop o un altro
dispositivo con connessione Wi-Fi,
connettersi alla rete wireless
“secureconnectwifi” utilizzando
la chiave di sicurezza “12345678”.
Potrebbero essere necessari fino
a due minuti prima che venga
mostrata la rete.
Potrebbe essere visualizzato un
messaggio come “Connected,
NoInternet” (Connesso, no
Internet). È normale.
3. Aprire un browser e nella barra
degli indirizzi digitare:
http://secureconnectwifi.cfg.
4. Quando richiesto, accedere
all’interfaccia web del modulo.
Il nome utente e la password
predefiniti sono entrambi “eaton”
(lettere minuscole).
5. Fare clic su System Settings
(Impostazioni del sistema) e
modificare il nome utente e la
password dell’interfaccia web.
Conservare queste informazioni
per riferimento futuro.
6. Fare clic su Apply (Applica).
Viene visualizzato brevemente
il messaggio “Configuration
Successfully” (Configurazione
avvenuta correttamente).
Nota: non modificare nessuna
impostazione nella pagina LAN
Settings (Impostazioni LAN).
Fase 3: connessione a una rete
Wi-Fi
1. Fare clic su Scan Hotspots
(Scansiona hotspot) e selezionare
la rete wireless del cliente che si
desidera utilizzare per la centrale
di allarme:
se la rete non viene mostrata, fare
clic di nuovo su Scan Hotspots .
2. Verificare il livello del segnale.
Se il segnale è inferiore a 50, la
connessione al router potrebbe
non essere stabile.
3. Fare clic su Next (Avanti).
4. Inserire la password della rete
selezionata (non verrà mostrata
nessuna indicazione in caso di
password non corretta, quindi
controllarne la correttezza), quindi
fare clic su Apply (Applica).
Non modificare altre impostazioni.
5. L’i-wifi01 prova a collegarsi al
router. In caso di tentativo riuscito,
l’utente visualizzerà (a seconda del
browser):
• Can’t get config response
(Impossibile ricevere risposta
config.): non è un problema,
fareclic su OK .
• Un’opzione per il reboot: fare
clic su RE-BOOT .
6. Verificare che l’i-wifi01 si sia
collegato alla rete Wi-Fi come
segue:
• Se il LED blu dell’i-wifi01
lampeggia brevemente, la
connessione è corretta.
• Se il LED blu dell’i-wifi01
lampeggia lentamente (ca. due
volte al secondo), non c’è alcuna
connessione. In questo caso,
ripristinare le impostazioni di
fabbrica dell’i-wifi01 (vedere
di seguito), quindi riavviare la
procedura dalla “Fase 2: accesso
all’interfaccia web”.
7. Chiudere il browser web
8. Collegare il cavo di rete dell’i-wifi01
alla presa Ethernet RJ-45 nella
centrale di allarme.
9. Verificare lo stato della connessione
nella centrale di allarme:
• Se il LED verde dell’i-wifi01
lampeggia, la connessione è
corretta.
• Se il LED verde dell’i-wifi01
non lampeggia, non c’è alcuna
connessione. In questo caso,
caricare la centrale di allarme
e l’i-wifi01, quindi verificare
nuovamente lo status.
10. L’i-wifi01 è ora pronto all’uso.
Configurare il sistema utilizzando
il menu Installatore della centrale
di allarme.
Informazioni aggiuntive
Per accedere all’interfaccia web: nella
barra degli indirizzi inserire
http://secureconnectwifi.cfg su un
computer della rete.
Per ripristinare le impostazioni di
fabbrica del modulo: con l’unità
alimentata, tenere premuto per
30 secondi il pulsante di reset (ad
esempio utilizzando un cacciavite).
Attendere un minuto per consentire
al dispositivo di eseguire il
reboot completo (non rimuovere
l’alimentazione in questa fase).

Met de wifimodule i-wifi01 kunnen
controlepanelen van Eaton met een
RJ-45 Ethernet-poort draadloos
worden verbonden met een netwerk.
Voordat u start
Opmerking: Dit product moet worden
geïnstalleerd door gekwalificeerd
servicepersoneel. Deze instructies
dient u in combinatie met de
installatie-instructies van het
controlepaneel te lezen.
Controleer de volgende punten
voordat u start:
• Apparaat met een wifiverbinding –
U hebt een laptop, smartphone of
tablet nodig om de i-wifi01 in te
stellen en te configureren.
• Mobiele gegevens – Als u een
mobiele telefoon gebruikt, wordt
aangeraden om mobiele gegevens
tijdens het configuratieproces uit te
schakelen.
• SSID en wifiwachtwoord – U hebt
de naam en het wachtwoord van het
wifinetwerk nodig. Het wachtwoord
mag geen speciale tekens bevatten,
zoals “@” en “!”.
• Repeaters – Als er wifirepeaters in
het eigendom zijn, schakel deze dan
uit voordat u probeert de i-wifi01 te
verbinden met de hoofdrouter.
• DHCP – De router moet voorzien
zijn van DHCP (de standaard voor
de meeste routers) om de router in
staat te stellen om automatisch een
IP-adres toe te wijzen aan de i-wifi01.
DHCP wordt aanbevolen voor alle
netwerkapparaten, met inbegrip van
het controlepaneel.
• Band steering – Band steering
maakt het mogelijk dat een router
apparaten tussen 2,4GHz en 5GHz
verplaatst als de apparaten de twee
frequenties ondersteunen. Er wordt
aangeraden band steering uit te
schakelen in de routerinstellingen
(indien ondersteund), aangezien
het ongewenste storingen van
de i-wifi01 kan veroorzaken, ook
al ondersteunt de i-wifi01 alleen
2,4GHz.
Installeren van de module
Stap 1 – De i-wifi01 monteren en
verbinden
1. Schakel de netvoeding van het
controlepaneel uit, open het deksel
en ontkoppel de noodstroomaccu.
2. Monteer de i-wifi01 als volgt:
• i-on40H en i-on30R – Monteer
aan de zijkant van de accu (niet
op de accu).
• i-on Style – Monteer aan de
onderzijde van het accuvak.
• i-on Compact – Monteer aan de
rechterzijde van het accuvak.
De i-wifi01 mag niet worden
gemonteerd in de buurt van een
warmtebron of in de buurt van een
radio-antenne.
3. Sluit de DC/DC-omvormer aan:
• Rode draad op AUX 12 VDC van
het controlepaneel.
• Zwarte draad op 0 V van het
controlepaneel.
• Stekker voor i-wifi01.
Sluit de netwerkkabel van i-wifi01
niet aan (dit doet u later).
Opmerking: Vervang de DC/
DC-omvormer niet door een andere
voeding.
4. Sluit de noodstroomaccu aan en
schakel daarna de netvoeding
weer in.
WAARSCHUWING: Netspanning
is aanwezig op de schroeven van
de netvoedingsaansluiting en op
verbindingen met zekeringhouder.
Raadpleeg de installatiehandleiding
van het controlepaneel voor
details over de locaties van deze
onderdelen.
Stap 2 – Toegang tot de
webinterface
1. Sluit de noodstroomaccu aan,
plaats het deksel en schakel daarna
de netvoeding weer in.
2. Gebruik een laptop of ander appa-
raat met een wifiverbinding, breng
een verbinding tot stand met het
draadloze netwerk “secureconnect-
wifi” en log in met de beveiligings-
code “12345678”. Het kan zijn dat
u tot twee minuten moet wachten
voordat u het netwerk ziet.
U ziet mogelijk een bericht zoals
“Verbonden, Geen internet”. Dit is
normaal.
3. Open een browser en voer in de
adresbalk het volgende in:
http://secureconnectwifi.cfg.
4. Als u daarom wordt gevraagd,
meldt u zich aan bij de webinterface
van de module. De standaard
gebruikersnaam en het standaard
wachtwoord is in beide gevallen
“eaton”.

5. Klik op System Settings (Systeem-
instellingen) en verander de
gebruikersnaam en het wachtwoord
van de webinterface. Noteer deze
informatie op een veilige plaats
voor later gebruik.
6. Klik op Apply (Toepassen).
“Configuratie succesvol” wordt
kort getoond.
Opmerking: Verander niet de
instellingen op het scherm

Settings
(LAN-instellingen).
Stap 3 – Verbinding maken met
een wifinetwerk
1. Klik op Scan Hotspots (Hotspots
scannen), en selecteer het
draadloze netwerk van de
klant waarvan u wilt dat het
controlepaneel dit gebruikt:
Als het netwerk niet wordt
getoond, klik dan opnieuw op
ScanHotspots (Hotspots scannen).
2. Controleer de veldsterkte. Als de
Sterkte minder dan 50 bedraagt,
is de verbinding naar de router
mogelijk onstabiel.
3. Klik op Next (Volgende).
4. Voer het wachtwoord in van het
netwerk dat u hebt geselecteerd
(er wordt geen aanwijzing van een
onjuist wachtwoord gegeven, dus
controleer of het correct is), en klik
daarna op
Apply (Toepassen).
Wijzig de andere instellingen niet.
5. De i-wifi01 probeert verbinding te
maken met de router. Als dit lukt,
ziet u mogelijk (afhankelijk van de
browser):
• Can’t get config response – (Kan
geen config. antwoord krijgen)
Dit is geen probleem; klik op
OK .
• Een optie om te herstarten – Klik
op
RE-BOOT (HERSTARTEN).
6. Controleer als volgt of de i-wifi01 is
verbonden met het wifinetwerk:
• Als de blauwe led op de i-wifi01
snel knippert, is de verbinding
succesvol.
• Als de blauwe led traag
knippert (ongeveer tweemaal
per seconde), is er geen
verbinding. Herstel in dit geval
de fabrieksinstellingen van
de i-wifi01 (zie hieronder), en
herstart vervolgens de procedure
vanaf “Stap 2 -Toegang tot de
webinterface”.
7. Sluit de webbrowser
8. Sluit de netwerkkabel van de
i-wifi01 aan op het RJ-45 Ethernet-
contact op het controlepaneel.
9. Controleer de status van de
verbinding met het controlepaneel:
• Als de groene led op de i-wifi01
knippert, is de verbinding
succesvol.
• Als de groene led niet knippert,
is er geen verbinding. Schakel
in dit geval het controlepaneel
en i-wifi01 uit en weer in en
controleer daarna opnieuw de
status.
10. De i-wifi01 is nu klaar voor gebruik.
Configureer het systeem met
behulp van het Install. Menu van
het controlepaneel.
Aanvullende informatie
Voor toegang tot de webinterface:
voert u op een willekeurige computer
in het netwerk in de adresbalk
http://secureconnectwifi.cfg in.
Zo herstelt u de fabrieksinstellingen
van de module: houd de reset-knop
30seconden lang ingedrukt (bijv.
met een schroevendraaier) terwijl de
voeding is ingeschakeld. Wacht een
minuut om het apparaat volledig te
laten herstarten (verwijder de stroom
niet tijdens deze periode).
Blauwe led: Snel knipperend – Wifi-
connectiviteit naar router is normaal.
Traag knipperend – Wifi-connectiviteit
naar router is uitgevallen.
Groene led: Knipperend – LAN-connec-
tiviteit is normaal. Niet-knipperend
– Geen LAN-connectiviteit.

strikte aansprakelijkheid of anderszins
voor enige bijzondere, indirecte,
incidentele of gevolgschade of verlies,
inclusief maar niet beperkt tot bescha-
diging of verlies van het gebruik van
apparatuur, centrale of elektriciteits-
systeem, kapitaalkosten, stroomver-
lies, extra uitgaven bij het gebruik van
bestaande stroomfaciliteiten of claims
jegens de koper of gebruiker door
zijn klanten die voortvloeien uit het
gebruik van informatie, aanbevelingen
en beschrijvingen in dit document.
