EBS DynaVerb User manual

TYPE SWITCHES - These switches select which type of reverb that
is to be used. In total there are eight (8) different reverb types.
Please refer to the program matrix found in this manual for
further information of the different types available.
I LED
FS
NDICATOR
OOT WITCH
Indicates when the pedal in switched on. When this LED stops lighting you
should replace the battery as soon as possible.
Switches the pedal on or off. This switch uses noiseless FET-switching for rapidly
switching during play. Because of the active design, this switch performs better
than what is normally called “true bypass”.
IONPUTS AND UTPUTS
You can use the DynaVerb either in mono or stereo mode, and you may use any
input and output jack in mono operation. Connect one input and both stereo
output s for mono to stereo connection.

pedal.
With the EBS DynaVerb you can choose
between no less than eight different stereo
reverb effects. The pedal is built with highest
quality components and uses 24-bit digital
processing circuitry for outstanding
performance on stage and in
the recording studio.

The following examples below show a few of the many sonic
possibilities of the EBS DynaVerb.
LARGE ROOM
CLASSIC PLATE
LARGE OPEN HALL
This is an example of a room with fairly short
reverbation time useful for effect playing. Use
fairly high setting for both Reverb and Tone for
best personal result.
This is a very useful and classic type reverb,
similar to the old reverb tanks found in many
combo amplifiers. Use moderate setting for
Reverb and fine-tune with Tone to match your
sound preference.
This is the most dramatic reverb effect with the
longest reverb time in the pedal, and the stereo
operation in this mode gives an incredible
depth to your sound. This reverb type is well
suited for solo playing. Use fairly low setting for
Reverb and Tone for best result.
MY PERSONAL SOUND
- Sets the amount of the
reverb effect to be mixed in
with the dry signal. Note that
when this control is in
minimum position, the Tone
control has no effect. In
parallel effect mode (see
advanced options) this knob
controls the volume of the
unit when engaged.
- Controls the high end
timbre or treble tone of the
reverb effect signal. Use this
control to fine-tune your
sound in combination with
the type switches. When this
knob is set to maximum, no
filter is engaged and a true
fullrange reverb sound is
achieved.
HC BOW TO HANGE ATTERY
1) Carefully remove the four screws holding the bottom plate.
2) Remove the bottom plate gently.
3) Replace the old battery with a new one of the same type, 9V alkaline
type; 6LR61.
4) Gently place back the bottom plate, and make sure no cables are
squeezed. Attach the four mounting screws using moderate tension.
TS GROUBLE HOOTING UIDE
Please consult the following checkpoints, before consulting one of the
authorized EBS service centers.
*EBS Sweden AB guarantees no error free operation when using other
DC adapter than the EBS AD-9. Warranty is void if higher voltage than
9.3 V has been used to feed the EBS DynaVerb pedal.
Checkpoint
1) Does the cable(s) work
properly?
2) Are the ¼” plugs properly
connected all the way in?
3) Are the Instrument cable(s)
attached to the Right (input)
jack, and the Amp cable(s)
connected to the Left (output)
jack?
4) Does the pedal have a battery,
and is the battery OK?
5) Does the indicator LED light
when pressing the foot switch
alternatively?
6) Does the instrument work?
7) Does the amplifier work and is
the volume turned up?
8) If you are using a DC adapter,
Are you using an EBS AD-9?
Action if answered NO
- Replace cable(s).
- Push the ¼” plugs all the way in.
- Reconnect input and output jacks.
- Put a new battery in the pedal.
- Replace battery.
- Check the instrument at your
nearest service center.
- Turn up volume or check the amp
at your nearest service center.
- Check the voltage and polarity of
the adapter you are using.*

AODVANCED PTIONS
CHANGING TO PARALLEL MODE
The EBS DynaVerb can be set to parallel model, which makes it suitable for
connecting to mixing consoles and so using the unit just as if it was a rack
effects unit.
To do so, carefully remove the four bottom screws, take off the bottom
cover and change the two small switches to “OFF”. This will kill the direct
signal from the reverb.
Since no direct signal is present in parallel mode , it is good practice to
turn up the Reverb and Tone knobs to maximum setting to start with. Note
also that when the pedal is bypassed, no signal is present at the outputs.
If you are not 100% sure on how to do this, please
consult your nearest service center. Excessive
force may result in damage to the unit, and the
warranty in that case will be void.

UP
DOWN
*EBS recommends the use of the EBS AD-9 ,
which supplies a well stabilized power to the EBS DynaVerb
and all your other pedals that operate with a 9V battery. The
high current capacity, 650mA, makes it possible to supply all
pedals with only one adapter, EBS AD-9!
