IMPORTANT
When using this unit, basic safety precautions as below should always be followed to avoid the risk of electric
shock or personal injury.
Do not use in an environment that is damp, wet, very hot or very cold.
To clean the clock and its accessories, use only a soft cloth and an inorganic cleaner.
Install the unit securely on a stable surface and install the unit where the power cord will not be subject
to damage or cause a tripping hazard.
The unit may get warm when being used; ensure the unit has adequate ventilation.
Only use the Hearing Products approved mains adapter. Do not use any other type of mains adapter.
Battery Backup
PLEASE NOTE....that the alarm can only be used when the mains power adapter is plugged in and power is
switched on.
If power is removed from the clock the clock will keep its time for up to 72 hours –in case of a power cut.

Set up Procedure
1. Plug the mains power adapter into the wall socket and plug the jack plug at the end of the power lead into
12V DC socket (12) on the back of the PowerWake™.
2. Plug the bed shaker into the socket (8) on the back of the PowerWake™and place the bed shaker under the
pillow.
Set Time - When the clock is first plugged in, you will need to set the time.
If the clock is set for 12 hour mode and you wish to set the time to PM, the clock PM indicator should be lit (top
left on display). When it is off, it indicates 'AM'. Unless using the 24 hour clock.
To alter between 12 and 24 hour display you will need to flick the switch which is located on the back of the
clock (11). When the alarm indicator is on, the alarm will sound at the set time.

Set Time
Select 12 / 24 hour mode on the back of the clock (11).
1. Press the time button (1) and the hour button (4) at the same time until the correct hour time is displayed.
2. Release the hour and press the Minute button (5) still pressing the time button, until the correct minute time
is displayed.
Note: You can press the Hour and Min button once or press and hold to reach the desired time, faster.
3. If you are in 12 hour mode, ensure you set correctly for AM (indicator will not be lit) or PM (indicator will be
lit).
To Set the Alarm
1. Press and hold the Alarm button (2) and the hour button (4) at the same time until required Alarm hour is
displayed.
2. Release the hour button and press the Minute button (5) still pressing the Alarm button, until the correct
Alarm minute is displayed.
Note: You can press the Hour and Min button once or press and hold to reach the desired time faster.
3. Be sure to select AM/PM correctly, unless using the 24 hour clock.

To Operate the Alarm
Slide the Alarm On/Off switch (6) to On Position. The alarm will then sound at the set time.
Snooze
When the snooze button (3) is depressed, the snooze button gives approx. 9 minute snooze.
Hi-Low Dimmer Switch
If more intense display is preferred, press the dimmer button (7) on the back of the clock to the 'HI' position. If
less intense display is desired, press the dimmer (7) button on the back of the clock to the ‘LO’ position.
Options
Vibrate Only/ Sound Only/ Flash Only/ Vibration & Sound/ Flash & Sound/ Vibrate & Flash.
To stop vibrate simply remove bed shaker from bed shaker jack (8). All other options select on/off on back
panel.
(9) AUDIO SOUND SWITCH: Can choose the alarm sound loudness HIGH or LO or OFF.
(10) AUDIO TONE SWITCH: Can choose the alarm tone to HIGH (1500 Hz) or MEDIUM (1000 Hz) or LO (520 Hz).
(13) SIDE LIGHT SWITCH: this switch can turn on or off the side light.
