INSTRUCTIONS

Before inspecting or servicing any part of this machine, shut off power source, disconnect spark plug wire from spark
plug, and make sure all moving parts have come to a complete stop.
WARNING
SAFETY
Your safety and the safety of others is important. Valuable
safety messages are provided in these instructions.
Please carefully read these instructions.
●Do not use a worn, broken, or chipped trimmer blade.
●Do not operate a Wheeled Trimmer equipped with
nylon blades within the vicinity of bystanders. Keep
a minimum of 100 feet away from people and pets.
●Do not allow children or inexperienced operators to
use a Wheeled Trimmer equipped with nylon blades.
●Wear safety glasses at all times during operation.
●Inspect the surrounding area thoroughly before use.
Remove all foreign objects before operation.
●Avoid hitting stones, wires, bottles, rocks, glass, cans,
metal of any kind, and any other foreign objects.
●Do not operate when barefoot. Wear proper clothing
to protect feet, legs, and other exposed body parts.
INSTALLATION
1. Inspect kit to verify all items were received.
2. If holes already exist in the trimmer head, skip ahead
to step 5.
3. Remove the trimmer head if no holes exist to install
the nylon blades. To remove:
a. Insert a 9/16" open end wrench into the trimmer
frame.
b. Rotate trimmer head until wrench engages with
trimmer shaft.
c. Twistthetrimmerheadweldmentcounterclockwise
to remove.
d. Remove the trimmer head disk.
4. Drill 21/64" holes according to the trimmer head disk
template shown in Figure 1. Use the template found
on page 3 as a guide. A new trimmer head disk with
holes is also available for purchase.

5. Place one spacer in each nylon blade.
6. Bolt nylon blades to the trimmer head disk as shown
in Figure 2. Install so that the nylon blades are under
the trimmer head. Insert the bolts through the bottom
of the trimmer head disk and secure on top with
locknuts.
●Do not install nylon blades on the trimmer head disk
top side.
●Nylon blades swing freely when properly installed.

OPERATION
The nylon blades are intended for trimming, mowing, and
edging.
1. Inspect the surrounding area for foreign objects. Keep
the nylon blades away from rocks, stones, glass,
metal, wires, cans, and other non-organic material.
2. Start the engine. Refer to the starting instructions in
the Wheeled Trimmer Owner’s Manual.
3. Place the trimmer head on the ground and begin
walking slowly to begin cutting.
4. Refer to instructions in Wheeled Trimmer Owner’s
Manual for using trimming adjustments and the off
center tilt feature.
5. Keep the wheels on the ground at all times to prevent
undue pressure on the trimmer head and personal
injury.
6. Keep the nylon blades in good condition for maximum
cutting speed, durability and safety.
SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
●Replace nylon blades as a complete set.
●Do not reuse locknuts more than three times.
Wear safety glasses during operation. Wear proper
clothing to protect feet, legs, and other exposed body
parts.

TRIMMER HEAD DISK TEMPLATE (ACTUAL SIZE)
1. Place template on the trimmer head.
2. Center the middle hole in the template with the existing hole in the trimmer head.
3. Mark and drill four 21/64" holes.
