MONTAGGIO
Raccomandazioni
Prima di procedere all’installazione controllare:
- lo stato delle tubazioni di scarico (soprattutto
per quelle vecchie in piombo) rimuovendo
eventuali ostruzioni.
- la quota dello scarico a muro.
PASSO DESCRIZIONE ATTIVITÀ
Rimuovere la piletta del lavello e il sifone eventualmente
installato;
Ripulire l’area del foro del lavello da qualsiasi impurità;
Aprire il morsetto con cerniera e rimuovere la piletta ;
Svitare la ghiera e togliere la guarnizione in cartone ;
Inserite la parte filettata della piletta e la guarnizione in gomma
nel foro del lavello;
Avvitare la ghiera unitamente alla guarnizione in cartone
quindi serrare con le relative viti;
Controllare che il paraspruzzi sia montato sul dissipatore ;
Inumidire con acqua il paraspruzzi ;
Inserire il dissipatore nella piletta esercitando una spinta dal
basso verso l’alto (il dissipatore dovrebbe sostenersi da solo);
Bloccare il dissipatore con il morsetto con cerniera ;
Montare il collettore di scarico (12) come segue:
Infilare la ghiera del collettore di scarico (10) al collettore di
scarico (12);
Calzare la guarnizione in gomma del collettore di scarico (9) sul
bordo del collettore di scarico (12);
Serrare con le viti il collettore di scarico (12) al dissipatore (8);
RACCOMANDAZIONI PER IL MONTAGGIO DELLA SIFONERIA
Nota: per un miglior deflusso, i tubi della sifoneria dovranno essere
tagliati e sbavati.
Il collettore di scarico (12) del dissipatore deve essere montato
perpendicolarmente all’elemento a tre vie (15) nella posizione
centrale (A);
Raccordare il collo d’oca (16) all’elemento a tre vie (15);
Quindi, proseguire con la curva raccordo a muro (17) ed il tubo di
innesto a muro (19);
Prese di servizio:
L’elemento a tre vie (15) dispone, lateralmente, di due prese di
servizio che possono essere utilizzate per collegare lo scarico di
una lavastoviglie, di un eventuale seconda vasca oppure del
troppo pieno;
Note:
8A l’utilizzo di questa presa di servizio riduce le caratteristiche
dello scarico, si raccomanda pertanto di non collegare nessun
altro elettrodomestico al dissipatore.
8A utilizzare tale presa di servizio eventualmente per collegare lo
scarico del troppo pieno, utilizzando il tubo estensibile (21) in
dotazione.
Per utilizzare la presa di
servizio del dissipatore (8A) è
necessario forare il tappo come
illustrato in figura, rimuovendo i
residui caduti all’interno del
dissipatore.

ATTENZIONE
Accertarsi che la tensione di alimentazione del modello acquistato corrisponda alla alimentazione elettrica di rete.
Accertarsi che l’impianto di alimentazione sia munito di collegamento di terra secondo le norme e le disposizioni
di legge in vigore.
Accertarsi che l’impianto di alimentazione sia provvisto delle sicurezze previste dalle norme di legge in vigore.
Accertarsi di disporre di una presa elettrica vicino al lavello, rivolgendosi ad un elettricista qualificato nel caso in
cui manchi.
Non modificare la spina del dissipatore se non si adatta alla presa, ma installare una presa adeguata.
Controllare periodicamente lo stato di usura del cavo di alimentazione del dissipatore perché, qualora fosse
deteriorato, dovrà essere sostituito da un elettricista qualificato.

COLLEGAMENTO DELL’AVVIAMENTO PNEUMATICO
Il sistema di avviamento pneumatico è composto dai seguenti elementi:
A - interruttore ad aria
B - tubetto trasparente in PVC (100 cm.)
C - pulsante a soffietto
D - staffa metallica
Istruzioni:
Applicare un foro Ømm. 35 al top o al lavello inox, nella posizione più
conveniente per l’uso;
Svitare la ghiera di fissaggio del pulsante a soffietto (C);
Inserire il pulsante e la guarnizione in gomma nel foro appena
praticato;
Riavvitare la ghiera di fissaggio, bloccando il pulsante a soffietto;
Inserire un capo del tubetto trasparente in PVC (B) nel beccuccio del
pulsante a soffietto e l’altro capo al beccuccio dell’interruttore ad aria
(A) localizzato nella base del dissipatore;
Inserire la spina del dissipatore alla presa;
Il dissipatore è ora pronto per essere utilizzato: premere il pulsante a
soffietto per accendere il dissipatore, premere nuovamente il pulsante
per spegnere il dissipatore.
D - staffa metallica per l’installazione del pulsante a soffietto sotto il lavello.
Avvertenza: per pulire il pulsante a soffietto non usare abrasivi o
sostanze aggressive.
ISTRUZIONI PER UN UTILIZZO SICURO
Prestare la massima attenzione soprattutto quando l’apparecchio è alla portata dei bambini;
Non usare il lavello in cui è montato il dissipatore per scopi diversi dalla preparazione del cibo o dalla pulizia delle stoviglie (p. es.: per fare il
bagno ai bambini o lavarsi i capelli);
Non introdurre mai le dita o le mani all’interno del dissipatore, neppure servendosi di uno strumento prolunga (p.es.: mestolo);
Per spingere i rifiuti nel dissipatore utilizzate l’apposito convogliatore disponibile in opzione;
Non immettere mai nel dissipatore metalli, vetro o ceramiche, materie plastiche, soluzioni chimiche per la pulizia dello scarico, carta e cartone,
conchiglie di molluschi, ossa grandi intere, stuzzicadenti, tappi, lacci, tessuti o prodotti equivalenti, eccessive quantità di grasso o unto, liquidi
bollenti – Ciò consentirà di non danneggiare l’apparecchiatura, di prevenire l’espulsione di materiali durante il funzionamento e di evitare il
rischio di ostruire le condutture domestiche;
Sostituire il paraspruzzi quando rovinato onde prevenire l’espulsione accidentale di materiale;
In caso di inceppamento spegnere sempre il dissipatore e staccare la spina prima di operare per risolvere il problema o di rimuovere oggetti
caduti accidentalmente all’interno del dissipatore;
Non conservare oggetti infiammabili come stracci, carta, bombolette vicino al dissipatore;
Non conservare o usare benzina o altri liquidi o vapori infiammabili vicino al dissipatore;
Non conservare o usare aggressivi chimici vicino al dissipatore;
DISPOSITIVI DI SICUREZZA

L’apparecchiatura è dotata di un sistema per prevenire i sovraccarichi.
Il sovraccarico avviene generalmente quando un oggetto estraneo cade all’interno del dissipatore e/o se nello stesso si introduce un eccesso di
scarti alimentari impedendo al motore di funzionare correttamente - In questi casi il dissipatore si spegne automaticamente.
Se questo accade:
Spegnere il dissipatore e staccare la spina del dissipatore;
Rimuovere l’oggetto estraneo o l’eccesso di materiale;
Inserire la chiave esagonale fornita in dotazione nell’apparecchio posta sotto il
motore e ruotarla in senso orario e antiorario (vedi 1);
Attendere 5/10 minuti;
Premere (armare) il tasto rosso di Reset posto sul fondo del dissipatore
(vedi.2);
Inserire la spina nella presa elettrica e riavviare normalmente;

ISTRUZIONI D’USO
COME SI USA QUALI RIFIUTI
aprire l’acqua fredda e avviare il
dissipatore;
convogliare gli scarti alimentari all’interno
del dissipatore;
terminata la triturazione, lasciare scorrere
l’acqua per qualche secondo;
spegnere il dissipatore;
chiudere l’acqua;
Il dissipatore di rifiuti alimentari è stato progettato per trattare un mix
omogeneo di scarti alimentari, piuttosto che singole tipologie di rifiuto.
Lista esemplificativa di alimenti “critici”
soprattutto se inseriti singolarmente.e
Bucce di banana, pannocchie, foglie di ananas o di
carciofo, asparagi, ovvero alimenti filamentosi immessi
in quantità eccessive, devono essere preventivamente
tagliuzzati e comunque immessi gradualmente insieme
ad un mix omogeneo di altri scarti alimentari.
PULIZIA E MANUTENZIONE
Se usato nel modo corretto, il dissipatore non necessita di pulizia o lubrificazione - Tuttavia, ad evitare il ristagno di residui non ancora triturati e l’innesco di fenomeni
odorosi, suggeriamo la seguente procedura, da utilizzare in caso si preveda un prolungato inutilizzo:
inserire nel dissipatore uno spicchio di limone e qualche cubetto di ghiaccio;
avviare il dissipatore senza acqua per circa 5-10 secondi;
aprire l’acqua fredda sino a completa triturazione;
spegnere il dissipatore;
chiudere l’acqua;
NON UTILIZZARE PRODOTTI AGGRESSIVI (soda caustica o altro) PER PULIRE IL DISSIPATORE E/O I TUBI DI SCARICO
GUIDA ALLA RISOLUZIONE PROBLEMI (1)
Come per altri elettrodomestici anche per il dissipatore di rifiuti alimentari, la consuetudine all’uso porta nel tempo alla
più ampia soddisfazione dell’utente – Per superare i più comuni problemi derivanti dalla inesperienza, consigliamo di:
9imparare ad utilizzare il dissipatore gradualmente e, in caso di dubbi, chiedere chiarimenti al rivenditore;
9 leggere questa sezione, dedicata espressamente alla soluzione dei problemi;
IN MOLTI CASI LA SOLUZIONE DELL’INCONVENIENTE SARÀ IMMEDIATA E NON RICHIEDERÀ ALCUN INTERVENTO TECNICO
Ogni qualvolta sia necessario intervenire sul dissipatore: togliere alimentazione elettrica, staccare la spina e chiudere l’acqua.

“C” indica il raggio massimo in tale zona mentre con la seguente formula B+(C/3) , si ottiene
approssimativamente il massimo ingombro sul lato di scarico: orientare quindi il dissipatore in modo
conveniente.

“D” indica la quota di scarico dal fondo del lavello: lo scarico a muro non dovrebbe superare tale

MONTAGE
Wichtig:
Kontrollieren Sie vor der Installation:
- den Zustand der Rohre (das gilt besonders für alte aus
Blei) und entfernen Sie eventuelle Verstopfungen.
- die Höhe des Abflusses in der Wand.
SCHRITT BESCHREIBUNG
Entfernen Sie den Einsatz des Spülbeckens und den Siphon;
Reinigen Sie die Öffnung des Spülbeckens von jeglichem
Schmutz;
Öffnen Sie die Verschlussklemme und entfernen Sie den
Einsatz ;
Schrauben Sie den Schraubring ab und entfernen Sie die
Flachdichtung ;
Setzen Sie den Spülbeckeneinsatz mit dem Gewinde und die
Gummidichtung in die Öffnung des Spülbeckens;
Schrauben sie den Ring zusammen mit der Flachdichtung
fest und sichern Sie das Ganze mit den entsprechenden
Schrauben.
Kontrollieren Sie, dass der Spritzschutz im
Küchenabfallentsorger eingesetzt ist;
Befeuchten Sie den Spritzschutz mit Wasser ;
Setzen Sie den Küchenabfallentsorger mit einer von unten
nach oben drückenden Bewegung in den Spülbeckeneinsatz
ein (der Küchenabfallentsorger sollte von alleine halten);
Befestigen Sie den Küchenabfallentsorger mit der
Verschlussklemme ;
Montieren Sie das Abflussrohr (12) folgendermaßen:
Ziehen Sie das Abflussrohr (12) durch den Ovalflansch (10);
Drücken Sie die Gummidichtung des Abflussrohrs (9) fest auf
den Abflussrohrrand (12);
Befestigen Sie das Abflussrohr (12) mit den Schrauben an den
Küchenabfallentsorger (8);

WICHTIG: Für einen einwandfreien Abfluss müssen die Rohre des
Siphons glatt geschnitten und die Schnittränder sauber sein.
Das Abflussrohr (12) des Küchenabfallentsorgers muss senkrecht
an das T-Rohr (15) in zentraler Position (A) montiert werden;
Verbinden Sie das U-Rohr (16) mit dem T-Rohr (15);
Fahren Sie mit dem gebogenen Verbindungsrohr (17) und mit
dem Anschlussrohr an die Wand (19) fort;
Nebenanschluss:
Das T-Rohr (15) ermöglicht seitlich den Anschluss des Abflusses
einer Spülmaschine, eines eventuellen weiteren Spülbeckens
oder des „Überlaufs“;
Wichtig:
8A Der Gebrauch dieses Nebenanschlusses verringert die
charakteristischen Eigenschaften des Abflusses; auf keinen Fall
irgendein anderes Elektrogerät an den Küchenabfallentsorger
anschließen.
8A Benutzen Sie diesen Nebenanschluss, um eventuell den
„Überlauf“ anzuschließen. Verwenden Sie dazu das ausziehbare
Rohr (21), das mit zur Ausstattung gehört.
Um den Nebenanschluss des
Küchenabfallentsorgers zu
öffnen (8A), muss der
Verschluss wie in der seitlichen
Abbildung gezeigt geöffnet
werden. Reste, die bei diesem
Vorgang in das Innere des
Küchenabfallentsorgers fallen,
müssen entfernt werden.

MONTAGE UND ANSCHLUSS DES LUFTSCHALTERS
Der Luftschalter besteht aus folgenden Elementen:
A – Luftschlauchanschluss an der Unterseite des Küchenabfallentsorgers
B – ein transparenter PVC-Luftschlauch (100 cm.)
C – Druckknopf (Balgtaster)
D - Montagewinkel
Anleitung:
Bohren Sie entweder ein Loch mit dem Durchmesser von 35 mm in die
Arbeitsplatte oder in das Edelstahlbecken;
Schrauben Sie den Befestigungsring des Druckknopfes (C) ab;
Setzen Sie den Druckknopf und die Gummidichtung in das gebohrte Loch ein;
Indem Sie den Befestigungsring wieder anschrauben, befestigen Sie den
Druckknopf;
Stecken Sie das eine Ende des transparenten PVC-Luftschlauchs (B) an den
Anschluss des Druckknopfes (C) und das andere Ende an den
Luftschlauchanschluss (A) an der Unterseite des Küchenabfallentsorgers;
Schließen Sie den Küchenabfallentsorger an die Steckdose an;
Der Küchenabfallentsorger ist nun einsatzbereit: Drücken Sie auf den
Druckknopf ©, um das Gerät einzuschalten und ein weiteres Mal, um das Gerät
abzuschalten.
D – der Montagewinkel dient dazu, den Druckknopf © eventuell an der Unterseite des
Spülbeckens anzubringen.
Achtung: Den Druckknopf nicht mit Scheuermitteln oder aggressiven
Substanzen reinigen.
ANLEITUNG FUER DEN SICHEREN GEBRAUCH
Betreiben Sie den Entsorger mit Vorsicht und halten Sie Kinder von dem Gerät fern;
Verwenden Sie das Spülbecken, an dem der Küchenabfallentsorger angebracht wurde nicht für andere Zwecke als zum Waschen von Lebensmitteln oder dem
Spülen von Geschirr (z.B.: niemals als Badewanne für Kinder und Tiere oder zum Waschen der Haare);
Stecken Sie niemals einen Finger oder die Hände in den Küchenabfallentsorger, genausowenig wie ein verlängerndes Hilfsinstrument (z.B.: Kochlöffel);
Um Abfälle in den Küchenabfallentsorger zu drücken, verwenden Sie den auf Wunsch erhältlichen Restestopfer;
Folgende Materialen und Substanzen sollten Sie niemals in den Küchenabfallentsorger geben: Metall, Glas, Keramik, Plastikteile, chemische Abflussreiniger,
Papier, Kartonage, Muscheln, große und unzerkleinerte Knochenteile, Zahnstocher, Korken, Bänder und Stoffteile oder ähnliche Materialien. Genausowenig
übergroße Mengen von Fett und Öl oder kochendheißen Flüssigkeiten. – Auf diese Weise vermeiden Sie Schäden am Gerät, den Rückstoss von
hineingegebenen Resten während der Zerkleinerung und eine Beschädigung der Rohrleitungen im Haus;
Wechseln Sie einen defekten Spritzschutz aus, um einen unvorhergesehenen Rückstoss von Resten zu vermeiden;
Im Fall einer Blockierung schalten Sie den Küchenabfallentsorger unbedingt ab und ziehen Sie den Anschlussstecker aus der Steckdose, bevor Sie sich an die
Behebung des Problems begeben oder Gegenstände, die zufällig in den Küchenabfallentsorger gefallen sein sollten zu entfernen;
Halten Sie entzündbare Gegenstände wie Lumpen, Papier, Kartonage, Gasflaschen oder ähnliches von dem Küchenabfallentsorger fern;
Halten Sie Benzin und andere leicht entflammbare Flüssigkeiten, Gase bzw. Dämpfe von dem Küchenabfallentsorger fern und verwenden Sie diese auch nicht
in seiner Nähe;
Halten Sie chemische Substanzen oder Putzmittel von dem Küchenabfallentsorger fern und verwenden Sie diese auch nicht in seiner Nähe;
SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

Der Küchenabfallentsorger ist mit einem Überlastschutz ausgestattet.
Zu einer Überlastung kommt es z.B. dann, wenn ein fremder Gegenstand in den Küchenabfallentsorger gerät und/ oder, wenn eine zu große Menge von
Lebensmittelabfällen in den Ablauf gegeben wird. Der Motor des Küchenabfallentsorgers hat dann Schwierigkeiten, korrekt zu funktionieren und schaltet sich in
diesen Fällen automatisch ab.
Sollte das passieren:
Schalten Sie den Küchenabfallentsorger ab und ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der
Steckdose;
Entfernen Sie den fremden Gegenstand oder die zu große Menge an Abfällen;
Stecken Sie den beiliegenden Sechskantschlüssel in die Motorachse unter dem Motor
und drehen Sie ihn abwechselnd im Uhrzeiger- und Gegenuhrzeigersinn hin und her
(siehe Abbildung 1);
Warten Sie 5 bis 10 Minuten;
Drücken Sie den roten Knopf “Reset” auf der Unterseite des Küchenabfallentsorgers
(siehe Abbildung 2);
Schließen Sie den Küchenabfallentsorger wieder an den Stromkreis an und schalten Sie
ihn wie gewohnt ein;

GEBRAUCH ART DER ABFAELLE
kaltes Wasser fließen lassen und schalten
Sie den Küchenabfallentsorger ein;
geben Sie die Lebensmittelreste in den
Küchenabfallentsorgers;
lassen Sie nach Beendigung der
Zerkleinerung noch einige Sekunden lang
Wasser fließen;
schalten Sie den Küchenabfallentsorger
aus;
stellen Sie das Wasser ab;
Der Küchenabfallentsorger wurde konzipiert, um ein Gemisch von
Lebensmittelabfallen zu zerkleinern. Das Entsorgen nur einer einzelnen
Art von Abfall sollte vermieden werden.
Beispielliste “kritischer” Lebensmittelreste,
besonders wenn sie einzeln in den
Küchenabfallentsorger gegeben werden.e
Schalen von Bananen, Maiskolben, Ananas,
Artischocken und Spargel oder faserige Lebensmittel
ganz allgemein in größerer Menge, müssen zuerst
zerkleinert werden und nach und nach zusammen mit
anderen Lebensmittelabfällen als homogenes Gemisch
in den Entsorger gegeben werden.
REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE
Bei richtigem Gebrauch benötigt der Küchenabfallentsorger keine zusätzliche Reinigung und Pflege. – Um trotzdem einer eventuellen Stauung von nicht völlig
zerkleinerten Abfallresten und einer damit verbundenen Geruchsentwicklung vorzubeugen, empfehlen wir folgende Vorgehensweise, besonders für den Fall, dass der
Ent orger längere Zeit nicht in Betrieb gesetzt wurde:

geben Sie in der Küchenabfallentsorger eine Zitronenscheibe zusammen mit einigen Eiswürfeln;
starten Sie das Gerät ohne Wasser für ca. 5-10 Sekunden;
kaltes Wasser laufen lassen, solange bis es zur völligen Zerkleinerung gekommen ist;
schalten Sie den Küchenabfallentsorger aus;
stellen Sie das Wasser ab;
AUF KEINEN FALL AGGRESSIVE PUTZMITTEL VERWENDEN ( ätzende Substanzen oder ähnliches ) UM DAS GERAET UND/ ODER DIE ABFLUSSROHRE ZU

“C” indica il raggio massimo in tale zona mentre con la seguente formula B+(C/3) , si ottiene

INSTALLATION
Recommendations
Before proceeding to install, check out:
- the condition of the sink drain line (especially
for the old and lead ones) by removing any
possible obstructions.
- the height of the kitchen wall drain.
STEP DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY
Remove the sink drain (sink flange and waste trap) previously
installed;
Clean sink flange area of any putty or other debris;
Open the hinged clamp and remove the sink flange ;
Unscrew the mounting ring and remove the flange cardboard
washer ;
Insert the sink flange and the flange rubber washer into the
sink hole;
Tighten the mounting ring together with the flange cardboard
washer up to the sink then screw on with the relative screws
until the sink flange is seated tightly;
Check that the splashguard has been installed on the disposer
;
Wet the splashguard with water ;
Insert the disposer into the sink flange by pushing upwards
(the disposer should hold up by itself);
Block the disposer with the hinged clamp ;
Connect the discharge tube (12) as follows:
Thread the tube flange (10) on to the discharge tube (12);
Fit the tube rubber gasket (9) on to the rim of the discharge tube
(12);
Tighten the discharge tube (12) to the disposer (8) with the tube
flange screws;
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WASTE TRAP INSTALLATION
Note: to improve the down flow of wastewater, the pipes of the waste
trap should be cut and deburred.
The discharge tube (12) of the disposer should be installed
perpendicularly to the three way element (15) in the central
position (A);
Join the goose neck (16) to the three way element (15);
Then, proceed with the union elbow for wall fitting (17) and the
wall coupling tube (19);
Service inlets:
The three way element (15) has , on either side, two service inlets
which may be used to connect wastewater from a dishwasher, or
a possible second sink bowl or an overflow;
Note:
8A the use of this inlet access, on the upper part of the disposer,
reduces the drain feature, therefore, it is highly recommended not
to connect any other electrical appliance to the disposer.
8A this inlet access may be used to connect the overflow, by
using the corrugated and extensible pipe (21) provided.
To use the service inlet of the
disposer (8A) it is necessary to
remove the plastic plug as
shown in the figure on the right.
Remove loose knockout plug
from inside disposer.
Accessories, components or parts, are available from your
local dealer.

ATTENTION
Ensure that the electrical rating of the disposer purchased corresponds to the electrical supply line.
Ensure that the electrical supply plant is provided with an earth (ground) in accordance with the regulations,
codes and ordinances in force.
Ensure that the electrical supply plant is provided with safety devices in accordance with the regulations, codes
and ordinances in force.
Ensure to have an electrical socket near the sink. Contact a qualified electrician if such a socket is missed.
Do not modify the disposer’s plug if it is not fitting the socket, but do install the proper socket.
Check periodically out the power cord of the disposer. In case of deterioration contact a qualified electrician to
replace it.

AIR SWITCH INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The air switch kit includes the following parts:
A – air switch
B – 1 metre of clear PVC air tube (100 cm.)
C – Moulded metallic push button bellows
D – Metallic L-Shape clamp
Instructions:
Drill a Ømm. 35 hole in the kitchen work top or corner of the sink at
the most convenient point for use;
Unscrew the mounting ring of the push button bellows (C);
Insert the push button bellows and the rubber washer into the hole
which has just been made;
Tighten the mounting ring, locking the push button bellows;
Attach one end of the air tube (B) over the spout of the push button
bellows and the other end over the spout of the air switch (A) located
inside the base of the disposer;
Insert the disposer’s plug into the socket;
The disposer is now ready to use: one firm press on the push button
bellows will switch the disposer on. Another press will turn it off.
D – Metallic L-Shape clamp to fit eventually the air switch push button under
the sink.
Warning: do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaners to clean the push
button bellows.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Pay particular attention when the disposer is operating in presence of children;
Do not use the sink containing the food disposer for purposes other than food preparation or washing dishes (such as baby bathing or
washing hair);
Do not insert hands or fingers into disposer, not even by using an extension instrument (such as a ladle);
In order to push the food waste into disposer use the proper conveyor available as an optional;
Do not put into disposer metal objects, glass or china, plastic or plastic wrap, chemical drain cleaners, paper or cardboard, clam or oyster

ensure not to damage the unit, to prevent the expulsion of materials during use and to avoid the risk of blocking the domestic drain line;
Replace the splashguard when worn to help prevent entry/ejection of material/splashing water;
In case of jamming turn always off disposer and disconnect the plug before trying to solve the problem or remove any object fallen by chance
into disposer;
Do not store flammable items such as rags, paper, aerosol cans near disposer;
Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapours and liquids in vicinity of disposer;
Do not store or use aggressive chemicals in vicinity of disposer;
SAFETY DEVICES

The unit is endowed with a system fit for preventing overload.
Overloading usually occurs when an unknown object falls into disposer and/or when an excess of food waste is simultaneously put therein thus
preventing the motor from running correctly. In such cases the disposer will automatically switch off.
If this happens:
Switch off the disposer and disconnect the disposer’s plug;
Remove the unknown object or the material in excess;
Insert the hexagonal wrench, provided together with the unit, into the centre
hole on the bottom of the disposer and turn it anti and clockwise (see 1);
Wait 5/10 minutes;
Press the red button “reset” switch located on the bottom of the disposer (see
2);
Insert the plug in the electrical socket and start up normally;

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
HOW TO USE IT WHICH WASTE
run cold water and turn the disposer on,
insert food waste into disposer;
after grinding is complete, let the cold
water flow for a few seconds;
switch the disposer off ;
close the water;
The food waste disposer has been designed to
grind an homogeneous mix of food waste,
rather than single typologies of waste.
Example list of “critical” food waste
especially if inserted separately.
Banana skins, corn husks, pineapple or artichoke
leaves, asparagus and any extremely fibrous food
inserted into disposer, in excessive quantities, have to
be chopped in advance and, in any case, slowly insert
into disposer together with a mix of other homogeneous
food waste.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
If the disposer is used properly it does not need neither cleaning nor maintenance. Over time, grease and food particles may accumulate in the grind chamber causing
unpleasant odour, or when not using disposer for a long time, we suggest to apply the following procedure:
put into disposer a sliced lemon and a few ice cubes;
turn the disposer ob without water for 5-10 seconds;
run the cold water until grinding has been completed;
turn the disposer off;
close the cold water;
DO NOT USE AGGRESSIVE CLEANERS (such as caustic soda or other) TO CLEAN THE DISPOSER AND THE DRAIN LINE

As far as other household appliances, also for food waste disposer a regular use leads to a greater satisfaction for the end
user in the course of time – In order to overcome the most common problems caused by inexperience we suggest to:

Every time you may need to inspect the disposer: turn off disposer, disconnect the disposer’s plug and close the water.
