SPECIFICATIONS
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
When calibrated properly, LaundryPure is
designed to work in conjunction with your
washing machine, using cold water, silver
ions, and ActivePure to clean clothes. As your
washer begins to fill, LaundryPure will open its
internal valve and turn on both the UV bulbs
and the Silver Ion Probe.
Once the washing machine has been
inactive for five (5) minutes, the LaundryPure
will switch off (internal valve closed, UV bulbs
off, Silver Ion Probe off). If the unit has not
been calibrated (see System Set Up, page 9)
and remains on for two (2) hours, it will
perform a self calibration procedure. Once
the unit is calibrated to a specific washing
machine, it will not require calibration again.
LaundryPure is equipped with an internal leak
sensor. See page 11 for more details.

USE & SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• To prevent unnecessary risk of fire, electrical shock, or personal injury, all
wiring and grounding must be done in accordance with the National
Electrical Code ANSI/FNPA, No. 70 - Latest Revision and local codes and
ordinances. It is the personal responsibility and obligation of the appliance
owner to provide adequate electrical service for this appliance.
WARNING:
CAUTION:
NOTE:
We have provided
important safety
messages in this manual
and on your appliance.
Always read and obey all
safety messages.
Safety warnings in this
manual are defined as
follows:
Electrical shock hazard.
You can be killed or
seriously injured if you
don’t follow instructions.
Damage to your
appliance or the
surrounding area can
occur if you don’t
follow instructions.
DANGER:
You can be killed or
seriously injured if you
don’t immediately follow
instructions.
This information is

120 Volt 60 Hz 15 AMP Fuse or Circuit Breaker.
An individual branch circuit serving only the LaundryPure unit is recommended.
LaundryPure is equipped with a power cord.
NEVER USE AN EXTENSION CORD.
ELECTRICAL GROUND IS REQUIRED ON THIS APPLIANCE.
For your personal safety, this appliance must be grounded. This appliance is equipped with a
power cord having a 3-prong grounding plug for use in a properly installed and grounded outlet.
To minimize possible shock hazard, the power cord must be plugged into a mating, 3-prong,
ground-type outlet, grounded in accordance with local codes and ordinances. If a mating
outlet is not available, it is the personal responsibility and obligation of the customer to have the
properly grounded outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
As with most major appliances, use of a GFI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt) is not recommended.
Water pressure of 10 to 75 psi is required to correctly operate your LaundryPure. Low water
pressure may prevent your unit from operating properly and/or cause a failure in your washing
machine’s water valve. The washer’s water valve may also not shut off completely. Check the
documentation supplied with your washing machine for exact specifications.
Your washing machine and cold water faucet must be within 4 feet of the right side of the unit to
use the inlet hose provided with your LaundryPure.
TO AVOID THE POSSIBILITY OF WATER DAMAGE, SHOULD A HOSE LEAK, ALWAYS HAVE FAUCETS
ACCESSIBLE AND TURN OFF FAUCETS WHEN WASHER IS NOT IN USE.
Water quality may affect the performance of your LaundryPure unit. If you have water quality
concerns such as high iron content or high chlorine content, consult a water filtration expert.
This system is designed for use on potable water systems only.
It is recommended the LaundryPure never be installed in areas where water may freeze since
the unit will always maintain some water in the unit, the water valve, and hose areas. This can
cause damage to internal components.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does this LaundryPure get out tough stains without pretreating?
Tough stains will still require pretreatment. A sample packet of ecoH cleaner is included
with your LaundryPure. ecoH is an excellent all natural pretreater for laundry, and is
recommended for use with your LaundryPure system.
Does the LaundryPure work with all forms of water including hard water?
LaundryPure will work with all household water qualities, but the better the incoming
water quality the better the results you will have. To improve your results, if desired, use a
water softener for hard water and/or a prefilter for chlorine.
Since front loading washing machines use less water, will the LaundryPure work as well on
front loading machines as on top loaders?
LaundryPure is designed for all washing machine types (except stacking washer/dryer
combination units with a single 220 volt plug) and works equally well with front loading
washing machines as with top loading washing machines. If you experience installation
problems with either type of machine, visit www.EcoQuest.com/LaundryPure for more
information.
Will the LaundryPure work with Commercial Washing Machines?
LaundryPure is designed for residential use only.
Is a Plumber required to install LaundryPure?
The customer is responsible for installation of their LaundryPure unit. Some customers may
prefer to have a plumber perform the installation although LaundryPure can be installed
in most homes by the home owner using standard hand tools. It should be noted there
are potential problems which can arise during the installation depending on the
condition of the plumbing in the home and the configuration and location of the washer.
If the cold water valve is stuck or the washing machine needs to be moved back which
may require releveling, a plumber may be required. EcoQuest International is not liable
for improper installation or damage caused from improper installation. Appropriate
warnings and concerns are included in this owner’s manual.

19
What will need to be replaced on the LaundryPure?
The two items that will have to be replaced are the UV bulbs that have a life of approximately
2,000 loads and the Silver Ion Probe which will have an expected life of up to one (1) year of
normal residential use. There will be an indicator light that will tell you when it is time to change
the Silver Ion Probe. For optimal performance, UV bulbs should be replaced immediately if
nonfunctional, or every three years.
Can I hook the LaundryPure unit up to things other than a washing machine?
LaundryPure is designed to attach to residential washing machines only. Use for any other
purpose may void your warranty.
What effect does LaundryPure have on elastic?
Normal operation of a LaundryPure unit should have no negative impact on elastic in clothing.
