2 Introduction
Introduction of Call Park function:
Call Park is a function for a group of users to use phone call easier. Parking Server provides the
function that park calls on server. When any call party wants to talk to third party, he can park the
call on the server and the call can be retrieved by any party.
Also, the called party can discuss with the person who the incoming call really wants to talk with in
advance and decides who should take the phone call.
Other Related Features Includes
Call Park
Able to park incoming or outgoing call in parking server for further process.
Consult Transfer
When incoming/outgoing call is parked on Parking Server. Besides the party who is parked,
the one who activates parking function can consults with third party and decides who should
retrieve the parked phone call.
Call Retrieve
The method to takes back the call parked on the parking server is called Call Retrieve
Call Hold
This is the advanced function of Call Retrieve. When a call is parked on parking server, only
the user who activates the parking function can retrieve the phone call.

5 Basic Configuration
5.1 Console Configuration
After connect the PC with this server via RS-232 cable, power on the PC and configure the PC
parameters as following:
Speed: 9600
Data Byte: 8
Parity Check: None
Stop Byte: 1
Flow Control: None

5.2 Basic Configuration Step
(1) Use RS-232 cable to connect PC with the Console port of VPS3302
(2) Configure a set of fix IP and web password (such as 123). Execute warm-restart after
finishing previous steps. We suggest you to setup a set of web password to prevent
others entering your web to change configuration.
(3) Use LAN cable to connect PC with the LAN port of gateway. If the connection is OK, the
LAN/ACT LED is ON.
(4) Configure the IP of PC to the same subnet of Gateway's IP. For example, the default IP of
the gateway is 192.168.0.2, Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0. You can configure the IP of
PC to 192.168.0.3 and Subnet Mask as 255.255.255.0. (Depends on the OS, it may
need to restart the computer)
5.3 Configuration of IP Address
An IP Address is required for VPS3302 product. How to get the IP address depends on the
network environment for which the VPS3302 will be connected. Please refer to the following table
and the network configuration to define the IP address information you need before system
configuration.

5.4 Configuration of Web Password
Configure Web Password help you to protect the configuration. Please configure it by System
Console as below.

5.5 Enter Web
Open IE browser and input the IP address of VPS3302. For example, http://192.168.1.99 and
then press Enter. The Windows is shown below. Input "WEB" as username and the password you
configured in advance, then you can enter into the home page of Configuration Web. If you don't
configure password before, just keep it blank when entering the web page.

6 Function and Configuration of
Parking
6.1 Parking Server Configuration
6.1.1 Function Description
Consult Transfer
The function of consult transfer is to park a call on parking server by a trigger party and the trigger
party also can consult with third party by phone. Finally, the call is retrieved by trigger party or third
party. This application can be applied to consult situation for an incoming/outgoing call
Call Hold
Call Hold function can hold many calls simultaneously on Parking Server and retrieved by the
same extension line one by one.
Call Park
Call park function is to park many calls on parking server and others can retrieve these calls
anywhere by IP network. Many calls can be parked by using the same number
Call Retrieve
In order to retrieve the calls parked on parking server, user can presses number on phone-set to
retrieve call. The other party hooks on phone or user presses Flash button to retrieve call is also a
kind of Call Retrieve.
6.1.2 Analysis of Role and Model
Before using these functions, you should know what role a user is acting in real condition. It is
demonstrated as A, B, C parties as below.

6.1.3 Configuration of Function
Before using the related functions (Consult Transfer, Call Park, Call Hold and Call Retrieve) of
Parking Server. It needs to configure Parking Server. These configurations are according to the
real example below. For other related parameters, please refer to Chapter 7 Description of Web
Configuration example of Parking Server:
Configure the parameters of Parking Server via Web
♦Configure IP address to 192.168.1.99. Configure Subnet Mask and Default Gateway
according to your own network configuration.

Configure the parameters of Parking Server via Web
♦Parking Server IP:192.168.1.123 (This is the IP address of Parking Server. In VPN
environment, configure one of Global or Private IP is OK. If Parking Server is located under
NAT, then both IP needs to configure)
♦ Parking Server Port: 2000, must be the same as Parking Server.

6.2 Consult Transfer Function:
6.2.1 Operation Procedure
A party is the one who triggers Consult Transfer
B party is the one who has conversation with A party originally. A party will park B party
on parking server.
C party is the one whom A party consults to. When B party is parked by A party, A then
consults C.
Operation method
A party and B party are under conversation (including A calls B, or B calls A), A party
parks B party to Parking Server, and then A party dials to C party to start conversation.
A party hooks on phone or C party presses Flash button, then C party is able to talk with
B party or
C party hooks on phone or A party presses Flash button, then A party and B party
resume to talk.
