Smart Sensors
A range of smart sensors are available to work with your IC-5170SC (sold
separately) that can alert, notify and interact with smart rules via the EdiLife
app.
A WP-2001P door/window sensor consists of two parts (larger sensor unit
and smaller magnetic contact) and can monitor when a door or window is
opened.
The WP-2002P PIR sensor is a heat-based motion detector.
The WP-2003P Temperature and Humidity sensor can report temperature &
humidity data.
1.Ensure the USB sensor hub (included with your IC-5170SC, sold separately)
is connected to your IC-5170SC camera.
2. Insert the included AAA batteries into your smart sensor by removing the
back covers.

4
3.You need to pair each sensor to your sensor hub. Press the small button on
the sensor hub in your IC-5170SC. The green LED will flash.
4.Within 10 seconds use a pencil or other object to press the small button on
the front of your sensor for two seconds.
5.The sensor hub will pair with the sensor. The sensor’s LED will display red
for a few seconds to indicate successful pairing. Repeat for each sensor.

5
6.Fix your sensors into the desired location using the high-strength adhesive
strips on the back on each sensor.
7.For the two-piece door/window sensors, fix the larger sensor unit to the
wall beside the door at a convenient height and close to the door frame.
8.Fix the small magnetic contact sensor to the door itself at the same height
as the sensor unit, and on the same side of the door.

6
Smart Sensors: EdiLife App
You can monitor the status of all your sensors using the EdiLife app, as well as
setup your notifications and smart rules, or disable sensors as you wish. The
app is easy and intuitive to use, but you can follow the guide below:
1.Select your IC-5170SC and tap the Settings icon in the top right corner.
2.Tap Sensors in the list and choose any of your sensors. If any of your
sensors are not displayed, try pairing them again as explained in the
previous chapter.

7
3.Adjust the settings for each sensor as you like and tap the check in the top
right corner to confirm.
4.To setup Smart Rules, go back to the home screen and tap the menu icon
in the top left, then select Smart Rules.

8
5.Smart Rules will be displayed here after you create them. Tap the +to
create a new rule and choose which sensor to use.
6.Select which device will be triggered by your sensor’s event. (For the
temperature/humidity sensor, you can additionally set the level which will
trigger the rule e.g. above or below a specified temp/humidity.)
