uncontrolled environment. In order to avoid the possibility of exceeding the

1.1 Product Introduction

Th is print serve r allows your printer to become a shared
de vice on the netwo rk. It o ffe rs print ing flexib ilit y and
manageabil it y on you r Local Area Networ k at an ext remel y
low cost and w ith an ab solute minimum setup and
ma inten ance requir ed.
This print ser ve r pro vides IEEE 802.11g/b wireless
LA N (up to 5 4M bp s dat a tran sfer rate ), an Eth ernet network
port (10/100Mbps Ethernet), two USB 2.0 ports and one
Par allel port for print er s.
This print ser ver support s IPX/ SPX, N etBEUI, TCP/IP
and Ap ple Talk protocol s. It is the be st network print ing
solution s for various com mon netwo rk oper atin g syste ms
such as Window s 95/98SE/Me/N T/2000/XP/2003, N etWare,
Unix/ Linu x and MAC OS, etc.

95/98SE/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003 users. PTPP (Pee r-to-Peer
Pr int ing) sup ports TC P/ IP p rotocol.
In the client installation procedu re, after PTP P (Peer-
to-Pe er Pr int in g Dr iver ) is in stalled int o Windo ws, the
system will autom atically (manu al configuration is al so
allowed) sea rch all the print servers on the network, and
then add their p rinting po rts into Window s’ pr inting port
(see b elow).

Window s NT/2 000/2003 Ser ver allows pr int queue, u ser
authorit y management, and many other advanced fe ature s to
be used.

Chapter 9 introdu ce s t he co mmands that c an be u sed in

Chapter 10 introduces Pr int Server’ s IPP Print ing
fun ction and setup proced u re. The IP P Pr int ing provide s a
convenient way to pr int docu ment s across the Int ernet by
the IP P protocol.

Chapter 11 In Window s XP SP2, you may not find any
