Garantía
EGi garantiza sus fabricados electrónicos y electroacústicos contra cualquier defecto de fabricación que afecte a su funcionamiento durante 36 meses a partir de la fecha de su producción
(indicada en cada fabricado), comprometiéndose a reparar o reponer los módulos defectuosos cuyo fallo, siempre a juicio de EGi, se deba a defecto de fabricación, sin cargos de repuestos.
Esta garantía no incluye gastos de envío de módulos, ni mano de obra de sustitución en la instalación de los citados módulos electrónicos y electroacústicos. En ningún caso la garantía
cubre los desperfectos o roturas de piezas embellecedoras (rejillas, embellecedores, carátulas, marquillos...).
Esta garantía se refiere únicamente al concepto de sustitución en fábrica de los módulos producidos por EGi, excluyéndose cualquier otra cobertura o responsabilidad sobre el resto de
materiales o el conjunto de la instalación puesta a disposición del usuario, pero que EGi no suministra ni ejecuta.
Por lo tanto no quedan cubiertas por esta garantía:
a. La instalación e interconexionado entre sus módulos.
b. Las consecuencias de abuso o mal uso del producto, incluyendo pero no limitado a:
b.1. No usar el producto para fines normales, o no seguir las instrucciones de EGi, para el correcto uso y mantenimiento del mismo.
b.2. La instalación o utilización de los productos de forma no concordante con las normas técnicas o de seguridad vigentes.
c. Las averías producidas por la incorrecta instalación de los módulos, o con cable que no sea el adecuado.
d. Las averías generadas por intervención de persona no autorizada por EGi.
e. Las consecuencias de mezcla con equipos de otro origen, así como adaptaciones, modificaciones, ajustes y/o tentativas de ajustes, irrespectivamente de que ello haya sido efectuado
de forma técnicamente correcta en principio, siempre que no exista expresa autorización por EGi.
f. Las consecuencias de accidentes, catástrofes naturales o cualquier causa ajena al control de EGi, incluyendo pero no limitado al rayo, agua y disturbios públicos.
En todos estos casos excluidos de la garantía, y siempre que los módulos no sean juzgados como defectuosos por parte de EGi, su remitente deberá hacerse cargo del importe total de la
reparación, y caso de producirse visita de nuestros técnicos, su solicitante correrá con los gastos originados sin causa justificada de garantía.
Recomendaciones y solución de problemas

Problema
• El subwoofer no se enciende o no se ilumina ningún led.
• El subwoofer se enciende, pero no se oye nada.
• El led azul de Bluetooth parpadea lentamente, pero no se vincula con
mi dispositivo.
Posible solución
• Compruebe si el subwoofer está conectado a la red eléctrica.
• Compruebe los niveles de volumen GAIN subiéndolos al máximo si fuera
necesario. Revise también, los volúmenes de las fuentes de sonido y las
conexiones de la instalación.
• Asegúrese de haber vinculado correctamente un equipo Bluetooth teniendo
en cuenta el password indicado en la etiqueta adhesiva trasera.

Los subwoofers activos 06816 y 06817 disponen de amplificación separada tanto para el altavoz de graves o subwoofers (LOW) como para la salida de satélites
medio agudos (Hi-Mid). Su amplificación es de 50 W para el subwoofer y de 50 W a 4 Ohms (ref. 06816) o 50 W a 100 V (ref. 06817) para los satélites Hi-Mid.
A su vez, dispone de ajuste de volumen o ganancia para ambas salidas independientes: un volumen para Hi-Mid Gain y otro volumen para Low Gain.
Preamplificación activa con DSP para corte de frecuencias “Crossover” mediante potenciómetro para seleccionar la frecuencia de corte que se mandan al altavoz
de graves y la que se manda a los satélites. En el selector, de la frecuencia seleccionada a la izquierda sonará en el subwoofer y de la frecuencia seleccionada a
la derecha sonará en los satélites.
DSP activo con limitación CLIP para evitar saturaciones.
De esta manera, se logra una alta calidad y un control óptimo del sonido.
Dispone de 3 tipos de entradas con una prioridad cada una:
1ª PRIORIDAD (led amarillo): Entrada con activación mono incluida PIN para productos EGi (ej: mandos, consolas COMPACT y amplificadores con música
o avisos).
2ª PRIORIDAD (led verde): Entrada de línea estéreo para señales de audio LINE OUT de 500 mV (ej: previos, mezcladores, mesas de mezclas, PCs, tablets,
móviles, reproductores de mp3...).
3ª PRIORIDAD (led azul): Entrada de Bluetooth estéreo con acceso mediante password (Friendly Name de fábrica: EGi 06816 XXXX).
Estos subwoofers pueden trabajar de forma independiente solo como subwoofers activos o mejor como amplificadores completos con salida tanto a subwoofers
como a satélites. A la vez, permiten trabajar en paralalelo utilizando las entradas (de línea o de PIN) hasta 40 unidades de subwoofers.

•Cortar el suministro de corriente antes de efectuar cualquier intervención en la instalación.
•No exponga el producto a la acción directa del sol.
•No presionar con fuerza las partes móviles de los mandos.
•El usuario debe evitar cualquier intento de intervención o reparación del producto y
dirigirse únicamente a personal cualificado.
•Utilice únicamente los accesorios suministrados por EGi.
•EGi declina toda responsabilidad que derive del uso impropio del producto o de un
uso distinto de aquel para el que está destinado (ver el apartado Garantía).
El signo de exclamación dentro de un triángulo indica la existencia de
importantes instrucciones de operación y mantenimiento en la

IMPORTANTE
Lea detenidamente estas "Instrucciones de seguridad" antes de utilizar cualquier producto EGi.
El signo del rayo con la punta de flecha, alerta contra la presencia de voltajes
peligrosos. Para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico, no retire la cubierta.
Los signos del rayo cerca de los terminales de salida del amplificador alertan del
riesgo de choque eléctrico en condiciones normales de uso (terminales peligrosos
al tacto). No toque dichos terminales mientras el equipo esté encendido.
Este símbolo indica que el presente producto no puede ser tratado como
residuo doméstico normal, sino que debe entregarse en el correspondiente
punto de recogida de equipos eléctricos y electrónicos.
La marca CE significa Conformidad Europea y es una marca europea para
ciertos grupos de servicios o productos industriales.
La marca CE debe ser ostentada por un producto si éste se encuentra dentro
del alcance de las aproximadamente 20 llamadas Directivas "New Approach"

Para su uso en México, la operación de este equipo está sujeta a las siguientes dos

pueda causar su operación no deseada.
MODO DE USO:
Los subwoofers activos 06816 y 06817 al conectarlos a la red eléctrica pasan a modo stand by con Bluetooth apagado pero visible y emparejable.
• BLUETOOTH (led azul): Al encenderse el subwoofer, el bluetooth queda visible y emparejable con Friendly name “EGi 06816 XXXX”, el led azul parpadea
lentamente. Para vincularse hay que seleccionarlo en la lista de Bluetooth disponibles e introducir el password que viene en la etiqueta trasera adhesiva del
subwoofer. Una vez vinculado el led azul pasará a fijo y ya se podrá seleccionar canciones y música.
Las líneas de entrada LINE OUT y PIN siempre están en modo detección “stand-by” a la espera de:
• LINE IN (led verde): Entrada con activación automática de audio. Al detectar una señal de audio de línea, el subwoofer se enciende y pasa a reproducir
dicha línea. Cuando desaparece la línea de audio y hay más de 60 sg. de silencio, el subwoofer pasa a modo stand-by.
• PIN IN (led amarillo): Esta línea solo se activa al detectar una tensión continua portadora en la línea de audio solo de los productos EGi. Es la línea
de mayor prioridad y se suele usar para avisos o música con preferencia.
• SELECTOR DE ENCENDIDO: En posición “AUTO” (stand-by) el equipo se queda a la espera de detectar cualquiera de las 3 entradas. En posición ON el
subwoofer se enciende y reproduce la entrada LINE IN. En dicho modo el subwoofer estará siempre activo, reproduciendo la señal LINE IN (led verde), no se
podrá escuchar bluetooth y solo habrá prioridad sobre esta, por la entrada PIN IN.
• SELECTOR CAMBIO DE FASE: Este selector condiciona la fase de movimiento del altavoz, a 0º la fase es positiva hacia fuera y a 180º la fase es negativa
hacia dentro. Se utiliza cuando hay otros subwoofers en la misma sala o cuando los satélites son capaces de reproducir frecuencias inferiores a 100 Hz. Se
recomienda trabajar a 0º excepto que en la sala se perciba anulación de frecuecias graves.
• FILTER CROSSOVER: Ajuste de frecuencia de corte, las frecuencias seleccionadas a la izquierda de la selección se reproducirán por el subwoofer. Las
frecuencias seleccionadas a la derecha de la selección se reproducirán por los satélites.
• LOW GAIN: Atenuación o realce de la salida de subgraves.
• HIGH GAIN: Atenuación o realce de la salida de satélites.
• Los subwoofers son sistemas de bajas frecuencias con longitudes de onda largas. Son sonidos omnidireccionales que permiten su ubicación en multiples
puntos de la sala. Su colocación puede ser directa con tornillos y tacos (ref. 06074) o colgados del techo con sirgas metálicas (Kit 06038).
Para su óptima eficiencia se recomienda ubicarlos en esquinas principalmente o a 1 m. máx. de suelos, paredes o techos.
• Realice un correcto ajuste de la frecuencia de corte, nivel de ganacia en graves y nivel de ganancia en agudos-medios dependiendo de los altavoces utilizados.
Utilice la frecuencia de corte del subwoofer como la frecuencia mínima de los altavoces satélites.
• Es vital que para que los altavoces satélites estén en fase con el subwoofer, conecte la polaridad “+” y “–” de los satélites correctamente en paralelo.

Guarantee
EGi guarantees its electronic and electroacoustic products against any manufacturing defect that affects its operation for 36 months from the production date (indicated in every manufacture),
taking the commitment of repairing or replacing the faulty modules which failure, always to the discretion of EGi, is caused by a manufacturing defect, without any charge for spare parts.
This guarantee does not include charges for the shipping and handling of the modules, nor the labour charges for the replacement in the installation of the aforementioned electronic and
electroacoustic modules. The guarantee will not cover in any case the damages or breakings of the trimming pieces (lattices, trims, masks, frames...).
This guarantee refers only to the concept of replacement in factory of the modules produced by EGi, excluding any other cover or responsibility on the rest of the materials or the whole
of the installation that is put at the user disposal, but that is not supplied nor executed by EGi.
Therefore this guarantee does not cover:
a. The fitting up and the interconnection between the modules.
b. The results from the abuse or misuse of the product, including but not limited to:
b.1. Not using the product for usual purposes, or not following the instructions from EGi for the correct use and maintenance of the product.
b.2. The installation or use of the products in a way that is not concordant with the technical or security rules now in force.
c. The malfunctions caused by the wrong installation of the modules, or by an installation with inappropiate cables.
d. The malfunctions caused by the intervention of a person non-authorised by EGi.
e. The consequences of mixing with equipment from other sources, and also adaptations, modifications, adjustments and/or adjustment attempts, irrespectively of those that have been
performed in a technically correct way, provided that there is not an express authorisation by EGi.
f. The consequences of accidents, natural catastrophes or any cause beyond EGi control, including but not limited to lightning, water and public disturbances.
In all these cases that are excluded from the guarantee, and every time that the modules are not considered as faulty by EGi, the sender should take responsibility of the full amount of the repair, and in
the event of a visit from our technicians, the requesting person will bear the expenses originated without a cause justified in the guarantee.

The active subwoofers 06816 and 06817 have separate amplification for both, the subwoofer (LOW) and for the medium-high (Hi-Mid) satellite output. Its
amplification is 50 W for the subwoofer and 50 W at 4 Ohms (ref 06816) or 50 W at 100 V (ref 06817) for the Hi-Mid satellites.
It has volume or gain adjustment for both independent outputs: one volume for Hi-Mid Gain and another volume for Low Gain.
Active preamplification with DSP for cutting "Crossover" frequencies using a potentiometer to select the cutoff frequency that is sent to the subwoofer and sent
to the satellites. In the selector, the selected frequency on the left will sound on the subwoofer and the selected frequency on the right will sound on the satellites.
Active DSP with CLIP limitation to avoid saturations.
In this way, high quality and optimal sound control is achieved.
It has 3 types of inputs with a priority each one:
1st PRIORITY (yellow LED): PIN Input with mono activation included for EGi products only (eg: controls, COMPACT consoles and amplifiers with music or
warnings).
2nd PRIORITY (green LED): Stereo line input for 500 mV LINE OUT audio signals (ex: preamps, mixers, PCs, tablets, mobile phones, mp3 players ...).
3rd PRIORITY (blue LED): Stereo Bluetooth input with password access (Factory Friendly Name: EGi 06816 XXXX).
These subwoofers can work independently only as active subwoofers or better as complete amplifiers with output to both subwoofers and satellites. At the same
time, they allow working in parallel using the inputs (line or PIN) up to 40 units of subwoofers.

reserving these actions for qualified personnel.
• Only use accessories supplied by EGi.
• EGi will not be held liable for any damage arising from misuse of the product or usage
other than what is was designed for (See Guarantee section).
An exclamation mark inside a triangle indicates important operation and
maintenance instructions and the existence of components that may
affect safety if replaced.

IMPORTANT
Please read these "Safety instructions" carefully before using any EGi product.
The lightening-shaped arrow warns of the presence of dangerous voltage. To
minimise the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover.
The lightening signs near the amplifier output terminals warn of the danger
of electric shock in normal usage conditions (Terminals dangerous to touch).
Do not touch these terminals while the device is in operation.
This symbol indicates that the product must not be treated as normal
domestic waste, but must be handed over to the corresponding collection
point for electrical and electronic equipment.
The CE smark means European Conformity and is a European mark for
certain groups of services or industrial products.
The CE mark must be displayed by a product if it is within the scope of the
approximately 20 "New Approach" Directives and can be sold and put into
service legally within the countries of the EU. If the product complies with the
provisions of applicable European Directives and the CE is displayed on the
product, member states cannot prohibit, restrict or impede the placement of
the product or service on the market. Thus, the CE mark can be considered

HOW TO USE:
The active subwoofers 06816 and 06817, when connected to the main power, it switches to stand-by mode with Bluetooth switched off but visible and paired.
• BLUETOOTH (blue LED): When the subwoofer is turned on, the bluetooth remains visible and paired with Friendly name "EGi 06816 XXXX", the blue
LED flashes slowly. To link, you have to select it from the available Bluetooth list and enter the password that comes on the adhesive back label of the subwoofer.
Once linked, the blue led will change to fixed and you will be able to select songs and music.
The LINE OUT and PIN input lines are always in "stand-by" detection mode waiting for:
• LINE IN (green LED): Input with automatic audio activation. When a line audio signal is detected, the subwoofer turns on and starts playing that line. When
the audio line disappears and there is more than 60 seconds. of silence, the subwoofer goes to stand-by mode.
• PIN IN (yellow LED): This line is only activated when a carrier DC voltage is detected on the audio line only of the EGi products. It is the line of highest
priority and is usually used for calls or music with preference.
• SWITCHING-ON: In the "AUTO" (stand-by) position, the unit waits to detect any of the 3 inputs. In the ON position, the subwoofer switches on and plays
the LINE IN input. In this mode the subwoofer will always be active, playing the LINE IN signal (green LED), you will not be able to listen to bluetooth and
there will only be priority over this the PIN IN input.
• SELECTOR CHANGE OF PHASE: This selector determines the phase of movement of the loudspeaker, at 0º the phase is positive outwards and at 180º the
phase is negative inward. It is used when there are other subwoofers in the same room or when the satellites are capable of reproducing frequencies lower
than 100 Hz. It is recommended to work at 0º except that in the room there is a perception of low frequency cancellations.
• FILTER CROSSOVER: Setting the cutoff frequency, the frequencies selected to the left of the selection will be played by the subwoofer. The frequencies
selected to the right of the selection will be reproduced by the satellites.
• LOW GAIN: Attenuation or enhancement of the subwoofer output.
• HIGH GAIN: Attenuation or enhancement of the satellite output.

Problem
• The subwoofer does not turn on or no led lights up.
• The subwoofer is turned on, but nothing is heard.
• The blue Bluetooth LED flashes slowly, but it is not linked to my device.
Possible solution
• Check if the subwoofer is connected to the mains.
• Check the GAIN volume levels by raising them as much as necessary.
Also check the volumes of the sound sources or review the connections
of the installation.
• Make sure you have successfully linked a Bluetooth device taking into
account the password indicated on the back sticker.

• Subwoofers are low frequency systems with long wavelengths. They are omnidirectional sounds that allow their location in multiple points of the room. Its
placement can be direct with screws and plugs (ref 06074) or hung from the ceiling with metal wires (Kit 06038).
For optimal efficiency, it is recommended to place them subwoofers in corners, mainly or at 1 m. max. of floors, walls or ceilings.
• Make a correct adjustment of the cutoff frequency, bass gain level and treble-midrange gain level depending on the speakers used. Use the cutoff frequency
of the subwoofer as the minimum frequency of the satellite speakers.
• It is vital that for satellite speakers to be in phase with the subwoofer, connect the polarity "+" and "–" of the satellites correctly in parallel.
