Work luxuriously with 30" of screen
space. Use the entire screen for one
PC, or take advantage of the picture-
by-picture function to display two
PC sources at once — it’s like having
two monitors side-by-side, but with
no distracting bezels between them.
Exceptional performance and build
quality make this the ideal 30" moni-
tor for graphics work. It can also serve
as a large-screen auxiliary monitor
for air traffic control.
•2560 × 1600 native resolution
•97% Adobe RGB gamut coverage
•Picture-by-picture display
•Brightness and chroma uniformity
•5-year warranty
30" of Screen Space
The 30" screen with its native resolution of
2560 × 1600 gives you more than twice as many
pixels to work with as a standard 21" monitor. Open
up your DTP, CAD/CAM, graphics, and web design
applications and work without having to worry about
your windows and palettes overlapping.
97% Adobe RGB Gamut Coverage
The wide gamut LCD
monitor reproduces
97% of the Adobe
RGB color space so it
can display most col-
ors in a photograph
taken in Adobe RGB
mode. Furthermore, it
has an sRGB mode to
accurately reproduce
this narrower but
commonly used color space. This ensures that colors
meant for sRGB such as those used on web pages and
any photos taken with a digital camera’s sRGB mode
will be reproduced on the screen as intended.
Two Monitors in One with Picture-By-Picture
Increase your work efficiency by dividing the screen
into two equal halves of 1200 × 1600 and displaying
input from two computers simultaneously. There is no
distracting bezel between the two halves and no tog-
gling back and forth between the two computers.
Brightness and Color Uniformity with DUE
Uniformity errors usually seen as brighter or darker
areas on the screen are characteristic of LCD panels. A
Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) function corrects
brightness and chroma uniformity errors so they are
virtually unnoticeable.

Warranty Five Years8
1 Average response time measured between each grayscale level of 31, 63, 95, 127, 159, 191, and 223. 2 A graphics
board that supports dual link is required for displaying 2560 × 1600 resolution. 3 Display with audio/video is not
supported. 4 WindowMovie mode is selectable only when Auto Fine Contrast is active. 5 Bundled ScreenManager Pro
for LCD is necessary to activate Auto Fine Contrast. Support for those functions varies with the graphics board used.
6 Dual 1200 × 1600 display is available with Dual Display mode. 7 ScreenManager Pro for LCD is compatible with the
Microsoft Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP operating systems only. 8 The usage time is limited to 30,000 hours or less, and
the warranty period of the LCD panel and backlight is limited to three years from the date of purchase.

Specifications12-Bit Gamma, 16-Bit Internal Processing
EIZO’s latest integrated circuit is buit in and features
a 12-bit look-up table with a color palette of 68 bil-
lion colors from which the most appropriate 16.7 mil-
lion (8-bits) are displayed. It also has 16-bit internal
processing for smooth display of grayscale tones,
especially in dark areas of an image.
Detailed Color Control
What good is a 30" screen for doing graphics work
without even the most basic color control functions?
With the FlexScan SX3031W you can adjust not only
brightness, but also gamma, saturation, hue, gain and
color temperature. For fine-tuning of even a single
color, the hue and saturation settings for RGBCMY
can be adjusted independently.
Dual DVI-D Inputs
Dual DVI-D inputs (digital) are included for con-
necting to two PCs. One input supports dual link for
displaying resolutions up to the monitor’s maximum
of 2560 × 1600, and the other input is single link for
resolutions up to 1920 × 1200.
6 ms Midtone Response Time
A built-in overdrive circuit reduces midtone response
time to 6 ms. Fast video sequences and 3D-CAD ani-
mation are displayed without delays.
Scale Non-Native Resolutions to a Full Screen
When working at less than native resolution or aspect
ratios different than 16:10 you can use the scaling func-
tion to enlarge your work or even expand it to fill the
screen. This is especially useful when using the moni-
tor’s single link input. You can then smooth or sharpen
the image in five increments.
Customer Assurance
A five-year warranty offers a long service life, and
compliance with leading industry standards such as
TCO’03 and TÜV Ergonomics ensures a better work-
ing environment. The EIZO Eco Products 2006 label
indicates these products meet strict internal require-
ments for design, manufacturing, packaging, and usage.
