BLENDER
• Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to
the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance if the mains cord, the plug or other
parts are damaged.
• If the mains cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a service
authorized center or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid
a hazard.
• Avoid touching the blades, especially when the appliance is
plugged in. The blades are very sharp!
• Always unplug the appliance from the mains before assembling,
disassembling or making adjustments to any of the accessories
and during cleaning.
• Never use any accessories or parts from other manufacturers
or that have not been specifically advised. Your guarantee will
become invalid if such accessories or parts have been used.
• Never immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid, nor
rinse it under the tap.
• Only use a moist cloth to clean the motor unit.
• Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
• Never let the appliance run unattended.
• Do not exceed the maximum level indicated on the accessories.
• Do not exceed the maximum quantities and processing times
indicated in the table.
• If the blades get stuck, unplug the appliance before removing
the ingredients that are blocking the blades.
• Avoid touching the cutting edges of the blade units when
cleaning them. They are very sharp and you could easily cut
your fingers on them.
• Never use the accessories to switch the appliance on and off.
• Always make sure the lid is properly closed and the measuring
cup has been inserted properly before you switch the appliance
on.
• Make sure the blade unit is securely fastened to the blender jar
before you assemble the jar onto the motor unit.
• The appliance can only be switched on if the glass jug or the
mill has been correctly assembled onto the motor unit.

Built-in safety lock
Before using this product, read and familiarize yourself with all
instructions.
Retain instructions for future reference.
Make sure that the voltage indicted on the product corresponds
to that of your local standard before connecting to the main power
supply.
Ensure that the lead cord grip is fastened correctly.
Unplug after use, before cleaning or while under repair.
Consult a qualified electrician to carry out any repairs or
maintenance.
Supervise children and pets in the vicinity when using electrical
products.
Store electrical products in a dry place where they cannot be
damages by water or damp conditions.
This feature ensures that you can only switch the appliance on if the
accessories have been placed on the motor unit in the correct position.
When the accessories have been assembled correctly, the built-in
safety lock will be unlocked.
Overload sockets and try to avoid the use of extension leads or
adaptors.
Allow children to operate electrical products.
Pull the cord to unplug the device from electrical outlets, as this
will damage the cords wire and insulation.
Use if the product shows signs of being faulty. Unplug at once if
you smell burning, observe smoke or suspect any other fault. If
in any doubt as to the safety of the product, consult a qualified
electrician.
Use if the lead or plug shows any sign of damage, or it has frayed
or bare wires, loose connections.
Plug into a broken or cracked socket.
Place on a wet surface or handle electrical products with wet hands.

Before first use
• All parts of the blenders are to be thoroughly cleaned for
the first time use (refer to “clean” section of this manual)
• Tak e out the desired leng th of cor d fr om the base a nd p lu g
into the electric socket
• The blender is intended for:
- Blending fluids, e.g. dairy products, sauces, fruit juices,
soups, mixed drinks, shakes.
- Mixing soft ingredients, e.g. pancake batter or mayonnaise.
- Pureeing cooked ingredients, e.g. for making baby food
1. Put the mains plug in the wall socket.
2. Turn the control knob to the required speed setting or
press the ice button.
See the blender table at the end of these instructions for
use for the recommended quantities,speed settings and
processing times.
• Never reach into the jar with your fingers or an object
(e.g. a spatula) while the blender is running.
• Do not let the appliance run for more than 3 minutes
at a time. If you have not finished processing after 3
minutes, switch the appliance off for one minute before
you let it run again
3. Turn the control knob to the pulse setting several times if
you want to process ingredientsvery briefly.
• Never use the pulse setting longer than a few seconds
at a time.
1. Screw the blender blade unit anticlockwise onto the glass
jug.
2. Mount the glass jug with the blade unit attached to it onto
the motor unit.
3. Put the ingredients in the glass jug.
4. Let hot ingredients cool down before putting them into the
glass jug (max. temperature 80cC/175cF).
5. Insert the measuring cup into the lid.

4. Always switch the appliance off by setting the control
knob to 0 before you open the lid.
5. To remove the glass jug, just lift it up. You do not have to
screw the glass jug to remove it
• Never immerse the motor block in water or any liquids. Wipe
it with the moist cloth, and then wipe it with a dry cloth again
• The mill can be used for grinding and chopping ingredients
such as peppercorns, sesame seeds, rice, wheat, coconut
flesh, nuts (shelled), coffee beans, soy beans, dried peas,
cheese, breadcrumbs, etc.
• Always process cloves, star anise and aniseed together with
other ingredients. If processed separately, these ingredients
may attack the plastic materials of the appliance.
• The mill is not suitable for chopping very hard ingredients
like nutmeg and ice cubes.
• Do not exceed the maximum level indicated on the mill beaker.
• To preven t s pil lage, do no t put mo r e t han 1. 5 lit r e s o f liq uid
in the blender jar, especiallywhen you are processing at a
high speed. Do not put more than 1 litre in the blender
jarwhen you are processing hot liquids or ingredients that
tend to foam.
• You can use the opening in the lid to add ingredients while
the motor is running.
• Do not process dry ingredients for more than 1 minute.
• Cut solid ingredients into smaller pieces before putting
them in the blender jar. Do notprocess a large quantity of
solid ingredients at the same time. Process these ingredients
in a series of small batches instead.
• If you are not satisfied with the result when blending solid
ingredients, switch the blender off and use the pulse setting
a few times to let the blender run briefly. You can also stir
the ingredients with a spatula (not while the blender is
running!) or remove some of the contents of the jar and
process smaller amounts.
• To crush ice cubes put max. 5 cubes at a time in the jar and
press the ice button a few times.

Frequently asked questions
1. We advise you to use the pulse setting or speed setting 5.
* Never let the mill run for more than 30 seconds without
interruption.
1. Fill the blender halfway with warm water and add a few
drops of washing-up liquid.
2. Turn the control knob to the pulse setting a few times.
3. Detach the glass jug, empty it and rinse it under the tap.
If the appliance does not work or does not work properly,
first check the list below. If the problem is not mentioned in
this list, the appliance probably has a defect. In that case we
advise you to take the appliance to your dealer.
- Cleaning the appliance and its parts is easiest immediately
after use.
- If necessary, the mesh of the filter may be cleaned with a
very soft brush.
- Always disassemble all removable parts before cleaning
them

1. Put the ingredients in the mill beaker.
2. Screw the mill blade unit clockwise onto the mill beaker.
3. Turn the assembled mill upside down and screw it clockwise
onto the motor unit.
