Packaging
Please DO NOT dispose of any packaging until you have checked the
appliance is operational.
After removing the packaging ensure the contents are intact and
complete. In the unlikely event of missing parts; contact your
retailer.

malfunctions, or appears damaged in any way. Return the complete product to

stored for safe keeping and must always accompany the appliance in the event
of ownership transfer or for reference to by a service engineer.

Fitting & Replacing the Filter
1. Open the front cover.
2. Remove the filter from its packaging and
insert the filter as shown in fig.2

Ensure the appliance is switched OFF and unplugged from the mains socket

3. Re-fit the front panel and continue with
normal operation.

The Filtration S stem
HEPA - The High Efficienc Particulate Air filter captures up to
99.97% of contaminates as small as 0.3microns in size. These
include dust, dust mites, pollen, animal dander tobacco smoke.
Active Carbon - Is charcoal that has been treated with oxygen to
open millions of pores between the carbon atoms. These pores
absorb harmful gases and odours.
Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) - Is active under U.V light and has anti-
bacterial, anti-viral, sterilising deodorising properties.

used

sterilisation
against
micro-organisms and acts as a supplement to the TI0₂ filter.
Ioniser - Negative ions are electrically-charged particles in the air
that remove airborne contaminates from the air we breathe, and
have a rejuvenating effect when interacting with physiological
systems (such as the respiratory system).

Press the POWER button once to switch the appliance ON.
With the power ON, press the POWER button once to switch the
appliance OFF.
Mode
Press the MODE button to operate the appliance in Quite mode (low
fan speed). Press the MODE button again to operate the appliance in
High mode (high fan speed)
In both modes of operation the UV and ION functions are on
permanently.

Timer Function
•Press the TIMER button to select auto power OFF in 1hour(1H).
•Press the TIMER again to select auto power OFF in 3hours(3H).
•Press the TIMER again to select auto power OFF in 8hours(8H).
•Press the TIMER button again and the timer function is switched
OFF.
At each selection, the corresponding L.E.D on the control panel will
illuminate.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Cleaning the Air Purifier
Before carry out routine maintenance or cleaning the appliance,
switch the power OFF and remove the plug from the mains socket
outlet.
For exterior cleaning, use a lint free, soft moist cloth with a mild
detergent.
DO NOT clean the appliance with organic solvents or abrasive
cleaning chemicals.

Replacing the Filter
In normal household conditions, the filter is designed to last for
approximately 6~12months. However, the filter may require
changing more frequently in areas where increased amounts of
airborne impurities are present.

BS Plug Wiring
Wiring Instructions: Should it be necessary to change the plug please note
the wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following
code:
BLUE - NEUTRAL
BROWN - LIVE
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not
correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your
plug, proceed as follows:
1. The BLUE wire is the NEUTRAL and must be connected to the terminal
that is marked with the letter Nor coloured BLACK.

3. Neither wire is to be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter Eor earth symbol , coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW.
4. Always ensure that the cord grip is positioned and fastened correctly.
If a 13A (BS 1363) fused plug is used it must be fitted with a 3A (BS 1362)
fuse. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE
I. Ensure the appliance is switched OFF and the power cord is removed
from the mains socket outlet .
II. Use a soft moist cloth to remove dirt dust and wipe dry .
III. DO NOT use detergents, chemicals or solvents to aid cleaning.
IV. Store the heater in its original packaging in a well ventilated, dry place.
V. Repairs should only be carried out by a qualified service agent.
VI. DO NOT modify the appliance or use in a manor not originally intended.

ELA undertakes to replace or repair at its discretion goods (excluding
batteries) should they become defective within one year solely as a result of
faulty materials workmanship.
