When starting the machine for the first time: Place a glass under the
coffee spout and run fresh water through the coffee spout by pressing the
Espresso Lungo button. Run also the Latte function once by pressing the
Latte button with water in the milk glass.

The machine must not be used with an empty tank! If coffee is not
pouring during brewing try to prime the machine. To prime the circuit, run the
Latte function once by pressing the Latte button with water in the milk glass.
Place a glass under the coffee spout and run also fresh water through the

Place the machine on a flat surface and fill the tank with cold, drinkable
and non sparkling water. Plug the power cord into the mains and press
the ON button. The machine is ready to use when the cup indicator lights
stop flashing and become steady.
Adjust the coffee spout height
for different cup sizes by either
pulling it down or pushing it up.
The machine is equipped with
an energy saving function that
automatically switches it off after
30 minutes of inactivity.

Lavazza A MODO MIO capsules.
Only suitable Lavazza “A MODO MIO”
capsules should be placed in the
capsule compartment. Single dose
capsules brew a single coffee/product.
Do NOT use the capsules more than
once. Inserting 2 or more capsules can
cause the machine to malfunction.
Cup illumination. It will be on during
the brewing time to highlights the
results and enhances the experience
and will switch off a few seconds after
the cup is ready.

Lift the lever, insert a capsule in the compartment. Close the lever
and press either the Espresso or Espresso Lungo button. When the
coffee is ready, lift the lever and the capsule will fall down into the used
capsules container.
Preparing coffee

Programming coffee amount. Place a cup on the cup support rack.
Press and hold the Espresso or Espresso Lungo button. Release when
desired coffee amount is reached. The programmed quantity is
memorized by the machine.
The milk frother glass, lid, whisker and steam spout can be washed in
dishwasher. The motor unit is not waterproof and cannot be immersed
in water. Please use a soft damp cloth for cleaning.
We recommend decalcifying the machine regularly (2-3 months)
using the Electrolux decalcifying solution EPD4 (never use vinegar).

3Cold frothing: Press the Cappuccino or Latte button for more than 2
sec. The LED light buttons will flash blue and only the whisk will be in
action (no steam function). Approximate time for cold frothing is 45 sec.

Frothing milk for Cappuccino and Latte: Fill the glass of the milk
frother with fresh milk (standard fridge temperature of 4-8 degrees)
exactly to the level for the Cappuccino or Latte line (do not exceed
the line). Place the lid on top of the glass, plug the motor into the
machine and then slide the glass under the motor. You can select
hot steaming or cold frothing.
4Preparing Cappuccino: Steam the milk as described in the previous
3 steps. Prepare an espresso in a Cappuccino cup and then pour the
steamed milk on top of the Espresso.
Preparing Cappuccino/Latte

Warm steaming: Press the Cappuccino or Latte button. The LED
light button will flash amber. The steaming process will start in 30 sec.
The process will stop automatically when the milk is prepared (press
again to manually stop steaming). Approximate time for warm steaming
is 75 sec (Cappuccino) to 110 sec (Latte).
Preparing Latte: Steam the milk as described in the previous 3 steps.
Prepare an espresso in a Latte glass and then pour the steamed milk
on top of the espresso.
