Before use
Before using your dishwasher for the first time:
1. Ensure that the e ectrica and water connections comp y with the insta ation instructions
2. Remove a packaging from inside the app iance
3. Pour 1 itre of water inside the sat container and then fi with sa t
4. Fi the rinse aid dispenser.
5. Run a Rinse and Ho d programme.
Filling with salt (specifically designed for use in dishwashers)
The dishwasher is equipped with a water softener designed to remove minera s and sa ts from the water supp y,
which wou d have a detrimenta or adverse effect on the operation of the app iance.The higher the content of these
sa ts, the harder your water is.If your water is a ready soft ( ower than 8°TH or 4°dH) there is no need to use sa t.
Your oca Water Authority can advise you on the hardness of the water in your area.

Only fill with salt just before starting one of the complete washing programmes.This will pre ent any
grains of salt or salty water, which may ha e been spilled, remaining on the bottom of the machine for
any period of time, which may cause corrosion.
The sa t container wi require topping up periodica y ( every 40 cyc es). Do not worry if water over f ows from
the unit when fi ing with sa t, this is quite norma .
Rinse aid
Rinse aid is automatica y added during the ast rinse, ensuring thorough rinsing, and spot and streak free
drying.The dispenser, which is positioned inside the door, ho ds about 110 m of rinse aid, which is sufficient
for 16 - 40 dishwashing programmes, depending upon the dosage setting.
Filling with rinse aid
1. Open the container by turning the id (A) antic ockwise.
2. Add the rinse aid unti the container is comp ete y fu .
The indicator (B) wi be comp ete y dark.
3. Top up the rinse aid when the indicator (B) becomes
c ear.
Ensure that the lid is closed after e ery refill.
Do not put iquid detergent in the rinse aid compartment.
C ean up any rinse aid spi t during fi ing with an absorbent c oth to avoid excess foaming during the next wash.
Adjusting the dose
According to the finish and drying resu ts obtained, adjust the dose of rinse aid by
means of the 6 position se ector (C) (position 1 minimum dosage, position 6
maximum dosage).
Start from position 3.
Gradua y increase the dose if there are drops of water or ime spots on the dishes
after washing.Reduce it if there are sticky whitish streaks on the dishes.
Use of detergent
Only use detergents specifically designed for use in dishwashers.
If using powder detergents proceed as follows:
1. Open the dispenser id by pu ing the catch D (Fig.A).
2. Add the detergent.according to the recommendations in the programme chart.
3. A ways c ose the id.
4. The programmes with prewash require a sma extra amount of detergent to be
poured over the id of the dispenser (Fig.B).
If using detergent in tablets proceed as follows:
1. For a programmes; p ace 1 tabet inside the detergent dispenser.
2. A ways c ose the id.
3. For a programmes with prewash; p ace a portion of a further tab et on the id of
the detergent dispenser.
Insufficient quantities of detergent will produce poor washing results, whereas
an excessi e amount of detergent will not impro e washing results and is also
wasteful.
Using no more than the correct amount also contributes to reducing pollution.

Loading your appliance
Before p acing dishes in the machine, remove any scraps of food, to avoid c ogging
the fi ters and consequent y reducing the performance.
Avoid contact between the dishes as far as possibe.
Arrange saucepans, cups and gasses etc. upside-down.
Ti t items with convex or concave surfaces so that the water drains off easiy.
Do not load ery small items which can fall through the baskets.
The lower basket
The ower basket is designed to take saucepans, ids, p ates, sa ad bows, cut ery
etc.
Serving dishes and arge ids shou d be arranged around the edge of the basket,
ensuring that the spray arms can turn free y.
The cutlery basket
Long bladed kni es stored in an upright position are a potential hazard. Long and/or sharp items of
cutlery such as car ing kni es must be positioned horizontally in the upper basket.Take care when
loading or unloading sharp items such as kni es.
Cut ery shou d be p aced in the removab e cut ery basket with the hand es facing
downwards.
If the hand es protrude from the bottom of the basket, obstructing the ower spray
arm, oad the cut ery with the hand es facing upwards.
Mix spoons with other cut ery to prevent them from sticking together.
Si ver cutery tends to go b ack if mixed with stee cut ery. P ace it in the cut ery
basket separate from the others.
The upper basket
The upper basket is designed for p ates (dessert p ates, saucers, dinner pates of
up to 24 cm in diameter), sa ad bows, cups and g asses.
Arrange items on and underneath the fod-down cup racks so that water can reach
a surfaces.
Light items (p astic bows etc.) shoud be oaded in the upper basket and arranged
so they do not move.
Before closing the door, ensure that the spray arms can rotate freely.
After loading your machine always close the door, as an open door can be a
hazard.

Items not suitable for dishwashers
The following items should not be washed in the dishwasher (unless they are sold as dishwasher
proof):
- Cut ery with wooden or horn hand es or g ued parts
- bronze cutery
- saucepans with wooden hand es
- a uminium ware
- crysta ware
- eaded g ass
- p astic items
- antique or fine decorated china
Certain types of decoration can disco our when washed in a dishwasher.
Crysta -ware and pastic objects, if not guaranteed dishwasher proof shou d be washed by hand.
Certain types of g ass can a so become opaque after being washed severa times in a dishwasher.
A chemica reaction can occur between siver cutery and stainess stee cutery.As a precaution, do not wash together.
Iron and cast iron objects can rust and stain other items.
A uminium tends to go back, copper, pewter and brass tend to stain.
If in doubt check with manufacturer of the item.
When buying new dishes, ensure that they are dishwasher proof.

Maintenance and cleaning
Internal cleaning
Ensure that the seas around the door, the detergent and rinse aid dispensers are ceaned regu ary with a damp c oth.
We recommend every 3 months to run a 65°C wash programme without dishes using detergent.
Cleaning the central filter
(After each wash)
Scraps of food may accumu ate in the drain fi ter (A)
and shoud be removed by rinsing the fiter under running
water.
To remove the drain fi ter simp y pu it out by the
hand e.
Once c eaned, refit the fi ter by pushing it back to its
origina position unti it engages.
Cleaning the large filter (E ery week)
The dishwasher must not be used without filters. Incorrect repositioning and fitting of the filters will
produce poor washing results. Cleaning the filters is ital to ensure correct operation of the machine.
External cleaning
C ean the externa surfaces of the machine and contro pane with a damp soft coth.If necessary use on y
neutra detergents.Never use abrasive products, scouring pads or so vent (acetone, trich oroethyene etc....).
Prolonged periods of non-operation
If you are not using the machine for any period of time you are ad ised to:
1. Unp ug the app iance and then turn off the water.
2. Fi the rinse aid dispenser.
3. Leave the door ajar to prevent the formation of any unp easant sme s.
4. Leave the inside of the machine c ean.
Frost precautions
Avoid pacing the machine in a ocation where the temperature is beow 0°C.If this is unavoidab e, empty the
machine, cose the appiance door, disconnect the water in et pipe and empty it.
Mo ing the machine
If you ha e to mo e the machine (mo ing house etc....):
1. Unp ug it.
2. Turn the water tap off.
3. Remove the water in et and discharge hoses.
4. Pu the machine out together with the hoses.
Avoid over ti ting the machine during transportation.

Something not working
Certain prob ems are due to ack of simp e maintenance or oversights, which can be so ved easi y without
ca ing out an engineer. Before contacting your oca Service Force Centre, p ease carry out the checks isted beow.
The machine will not start
●The door has not been proper y c osed.
●The p ug is not proper y inserted in the power socket.
●There is a power fai ure.
The machine does not fill with water
●Ensure the water tap is open.
●Ensure the mains water suppy has not been cut off.
●The in et hose may be squashed or bent. Reposition the hose.
●The in et hose may be b ocked. Switch off the water supp y and c ean the fi ter.
The dishwasher will not drain
●The drain hose may be squashed or bent. Reposition the hose.
●The sink may be b ocked. C ear any bockages.
The filters are blocked
●C ean the fi ters (refer to "Maintenance and c eaning").
The machine is noisy
●Dishes are ratt ing against each other.
●The spray arms are knocking against the dishes.
The door is difficult to close
●The dishwasher is not eve, or not proper y bui t-in.
Visible lime deposits or white film on the dishes
●Check that there is sat and that the sa t cap is tight.
The dishes are not quite dry
●The rinse aid has run out or too itt e is being used.
The dishes are not clean (poor wash)
●The baskets are too fu .
●The dishes have not been arranged proper y.
●The spray arms do not rotate.
●The spray arms are c ogged.
●The fi ters are c ogged.
●The fi ters are not in the correct position.
●Not enough detergent has been used or it is unsuitabe.
●The sa t container cap is not proper y c osed.
If after all these checks, the problem persists, contact your local Ser ice Force Centre, quoting the
model and serial number.
This information can be found on the rating plate located on the right hand side of the dishwasher door.
This product should be ser iced by an authorised Ser ice engineer, and only genuine spare parts
should be used.
Under no circumstances should you attempt to repair the machine yourself.
Repairs carried out by inexperienced persons may cause injury or serious malfunctioning.
Contact your local Ser ice Force Centre.Always insist on genuine spare parts.

Installation
Remo e all packaging before positioning the
machine.
Any electrical and plumbing work required to
install this appliance should be carried out by a
qualified electrician and plumber or competent
person.
If possibe, position the machine next to a water tap
and a drain.
Le elling
Good eve ing is essentia for correct cosure and
sea ing of the door.
When the app iance is correct y eve ed, the door wi
not catch on the eve ing spacers on either side of the
cabinet.
If the door does not c ose correct y, oosen or tighten
the adjustabe feet unti the machine is perfect y eve .
Fitting under a counter
(kitchen worktop or sink)
By removing the machine’s worktop, you can insta it
under a c ose fitting sink unit or a pre-existing top,
providing the dimensions of the recess correspond to
those shown in the figure.
Proceed as follows:
Remove the machine’s worktop by unscrewing the two
rear retaining screws, pu from the front and s ide out
the rear s ots, ifting the worktop.
Insert the machine after adjusting height and eve ing
with the adjustabe feet.
When inserting the machine, ensure that the water
inlet and drain hoses are not kinked or squashed.
Water supply connections
This dishwasher must be pumbed into a co d water
supp y.
The water pressure must be within the imits given in
the technica specifications.
Your oca Water Authority wi advise you on the
average mains pressure in your area.
The dishwasher features fi and drain hoses which can
be turned either to the eft or the right to suit the
insta ation.
The locknut must be correctly fitted to a oid water
leaks.
Avoid bends or kinks in the hose which coud prevent
or s ow down the water supp y.
