and do notgetjammed withthe hotoven door.
Besidesthe accessories supplied withthe unitdo
exclusivelymake use ofsuitable and temperature--

Afterusemakesurethat the applianceis switched off.
All of the rotary knobshaveto be resetintothe OFF-
position.
Cleaning
No heating elementmustbe switched on during the
cleaning procedure.Makesurethat the oven has

Always keep the oven clean.When heating up fat

Childrensafetymechanism
Bymeansofan interlocking mechanismforthe oven
you can preventplaying children fromgetting access
toit.
Activating ofdoorlock
Forinterlocking of the oven doorpull the interlocking
tongue out.
Opening and closing of theoven doorwithactiva-
tedinterlocking mechanism.
To open the doorpushthe tongue upwards, the door
caneasilybeopened.Makeuse ofthermo-glovesorof
a potclothincasethe appliancewill be hot.
Whenclosingthedoorthe interlockingtonguewillauto-
matically catchin.
Deactivating ofdoorlock

Ovencooling fan
The applianceisfitted with a cooling fan thatwill auto-
matically switchonincase ofheatbeeing developed

Priortothe firstuse
Daytime setting
When the oven hasbeen connected tothe mainsand
afterfailureofelectricity, the time displayof theelectro-
nicautotimerflashes0.00 and AUTO.The present
daytimehasto be set. Withoutthis, the oven cannotbe
used.The time display coversthe range from0.01 to
24.00 hours.

Tomakecorrectionsof time(summer--/winter--time,

clean the appliance once priortofirstuse.
Remove anypossiblyexisting labelsand protective
foilsfromthe frontof the appliance.
Clean controlpaneland oven doorwith hotwaterand
awashing-up liquid and dry.
Removethe accessoriesfromthe oven and wash
them.
The clean-enammelled cavityhasto be washedo with
warm waterand a washing-up liquid.Then dryit.
The oven lighting maybe switched on forthispurpose
by setting the function switchto position .
Firstheating up
Priortofirstusethe oven mustbe heated up
once.Takecareforasufficientspaceventilation.
Setfunctionswitchtotop/bottomheatandtemperatu-
reselectorknob to 250 oC.
Holding this setting,operatethe emptyand closed
oven for60 minutes.

Ovenfunction switch
The function switchcan be turned tothe left and tothe
right tothe desired position.
The oven illumination istswitched on with position
and atatimewith all oven functions.
Oventemperature selector
The temperatureselectorknob is switched on bytur-
ningtotheright from50 to275oC.Donotturnitbeyond
the maximumsetting.Forswitch--off turnleft to 0--set-
ting.
The oven will be heated up aftersetting of function
switch and temperatureselector.

Application of the oven functions
Top-and bottomheat
Heating elementesinstalled underthe oven bottom
and at the oven ceiling respectiveleygive off radiant
heat tothe food.Anytemperature between 50 and275
oCcan be set.
Baking and roasting using top and bottomheatisonly
possible atone level.
Top heat
The radiantheat fromthe elementat the oven ceiling
isused forfollow-up baking,overbaking and gratina-
ting.180 oCcan be reached atmaximum.
Bottomheat
The heating elementunderthe oven bottomgivesoff
radiantheattotheitemstobecooked.Thefunctioncan
be set forfollow-up baking and incrustation on the
sheet. 180 oCcan be reached atmaximum.
Hotair
The oven isheated by circulating hotair.Thefan atthe
ovenbackwallintensivelymovesthehotairintheoven
and thusensureseven cooking.Anytemperature bet-
ween 50 and 275 oCcan be selected.
Depending on the food you can use up to 3 runnerle-
vels.

Grilling
During grill operation the oven always hasto be
closed.Whengrilling,donotleavetheappliance
unsupervised.
Set the function switchtothe selected grilling function.
Which grilling function istoselectdependson the
amountand the heightof the grill food.
Thetemperaturecan be adapted tothe particularfood,
asthe oven thermostatholdsthe temperaturewithin
the setrange also during grill operations.
Forspecialadvicesof function selection, temperature
setting and runnerlevelpleasesee the grilling charts.
Infrared grill
Forsmall amountsof flatmeataswell asforchicken
halves,placedinthemiddle partof thewireshelf.Tem-
peraturefrom210 to 275 oC.
Large surface grill
Forflatitemstobegrilled,halfchickens,etc.onthefully
chargedwireshelf.Thisfunctioncombinestheinfrared
grill withtop heat.
Temperaturefrom210 to 275 oC.
Bothsurface--grillfunctionsaresuitableforflatmeat
such as steaks,chops,sausages, fish,etc.
Asthe radiation heatcan brown onlythe surface of the
grill food,same hastobeturned overaftersometime.
The large--surface grill functions can,moreover
be used:
forthe overbaking of toast,
forthe overflaming ofmarzipane oricecream
forthe crustation ofsoufflés.
The grill food hastobeinserted on the wireshelf, de-
pending on height, intorunner4or5.The distanceto-
wardthe grill heating elementcan be varied byinser-
ting the wireshelfwithits convexityeitherturned
upward ordownward.
Donotinsertflatgrillfoodtooclosebeneaththeheating
element. Drip pan hasto be inserted inrunnerlevel1
or2.

Turbo grill
Forhighroastssuchasporkloin,legorpoultryitisadvi-
sabletoselect the function turbo grill withtemperature
settingsofabout150 to 190 oC.
The infra--red grill operatesalong withthe fan. Inthis
way,notonlythesurfaceofthegrillfoodisbrownedand
grilled,but the grill heatisled intensivelyto all sidesof
the grill food.
Insert the drip pan intorunnerlevel1 or2 and the wire
shelfwiththe grilling food intothe runnerabove.

Roasting with
hot-airand top-/bottomheat
The length ofroasting time dependson the kind of
meat,weightandheightoftheroast.Basicallyyourek-
kon percmheightofmeat:
beef, game 14 -- 17 minutes
pork,veal14 -- 17 minutes
fillet, roastbeef10 -- 12 minutes.
The higherthe roastis, the lowerthe temperature
needsto be.
The doneness can be checked bypressing the meat
downwith a spoon. If the roastdoesnotgiveway,itis
done.
Afterswitch--off leavethe roast foranother10minutes
intheovensothatnojuicewillberunningout,whenyou
cut the roast.
Roastingonthewireshelf
Placeroastonwireshelfwithits servingsideturnedup-
ward. Insertbaking sheetintorunner1 and the wire
shelfdirectlyaboveitontothe runner.
Roastinginthepan
Putlean meat, game or meatloafdirectlyintothe drip
pan orinavesselontothe wireshelf. Putshort--roasts
onasheetintothe oven.
Incasethereisneed foraroasting time ofmorethan
an hour,put the ingredientsforthe gravy intothe pan
onlyhalfan hourbeforethe end ofcooking time,have
thembrowned and fill inalittle hotwater.
Using runnerlevelson baking and
roasting
Dependingonthefoodwiththehot-airfunctionyoucan
useupto3runnerlevels.Werecommend:
1 baking sheet: runner2or3
2 baking sheets:runners1+3or2+4

Temperature selection
The hotairfunction isfasterthan ordinaryfunctionsin
supplyingthefoodwithheat. Therefore,set thetempe-
rature byabout25 oC lowerthan recommended in
reciepesfortop and bottomheat.
Hint:Thehouseholdappliance dealerisofferingbaking
/roasting thermometersforthe indication of the state
ofcooking.
Grease filter
Greasefilterto be hooked inwith all roasting procedu-
reswith hotairand when turbogrilling; filterto be remo-
ved when baking asthe baking timewould otherwise
be extended.
Preheating
Asthe set temperatureisreached within a very short
time,preheating of the oven beforeinserting the food
isnotnecessaryfor mostof the baking and roasting
operations.
Werecommend preheating with:
Dmeatdishesand short--roasts,such asfillet,
roastbeef, schnitzlorcutlet. The meatporesare
quickerclosed and the itemtoberoasted
remainsjuicy.
Dfancy biscuitsthat tend tospread easily,
Drolls,quiches,Swiss rolls.
Forthispurpose and beforeinsertion of the itemsthe
oven isheated up until the temperaturesignal lamp
goesout.
Baking with
hotairand top-/bottomheat
Introduction forusing thebaking chart
The charton baking operations containsinmostcases
temperatureranges,e.g.160--175oC.Selectthelower
temperatureforthemoment.Incaseoftoo hightempe-
raturesacake overcruststoo fast, itwillcollapse orwill
notrise properly,because onlyan insufficientamount
ofwaterisextracted.
Ifthebakingoperationtakestoolongorifthecakedoes
notbrown enough asexpected,you may selecta hig-
hersetting.
The even browning of the cakecan be improved byre-
ducing the baking temperature(byabout10 oC).Then
prolonging of the baking timeisnecessary.
You mightalso havetochange the baking time even if
you exactlyfollowed the instructionsgiven inthe reci-
pe,asthe size ofeggs, the binding qualityof the flour
and the materialofwhichthe mouldismade can vary.

Unscrewthe round protectivecoverglass,replacethe
oven lamp and rescrewthe protectivecoverglass.
Rectangularovenlampintheleft ovenwall:
Hang out the left oven runner.With a wide screwdriver
orasuitableknife unclipthe protective glass carefully
fromthe support, replacethe bulb and press the pro-
tective glass into place again.
