1. Overview
Cobalt is a user interface (UI) to be control a French door/Multi door product.
This UI is responsible to control the cavities, functions and the dispenser (I&W).
1.1. First Surface UI – Overlay
The images below are to be used as a reference of the artwork overlay that
would be used as first surface UI.

Capacitive touch areas: Areas that will be sensitive to the touch of the user.

Diagnostic Mode (Service Mode): Notes
While in Diagnostic Mode:
1. The heater will run during test but only upto 44 degrees via the
sensor
2. the heater will revert to off mode if diagnostics is progressed
3. do not run valves and solenoids for more then 1 min at a time
4. whilst testing the heater and sensor the value will be displayed in
fridge section and alternate between value and statas
How to enter The Diagnostic Mode:
To enter The diagnostic mode, press and hold "+"(freezer) and "–"(freezer) buttons for 10
seconds during the normal runtime of the appliance

Behavior in Diagnostic Mode:
1. To enter diagnostic mode, press and hold + (freezer) and – (freezer) for 10 seconds.
2. On detection of 10-sec-holding of above buttons, all the Display LEDs on the External UI
Turn on & a beep tone will be heard
3. Press (Refrigerator) + button to progress through the different loads.
4. Press (Refrigerator) – button to come back to previous function.
5. Press (CUBE) button to change the status of the load.
6. Each load is associated with a number indicated in the Freezer Display and the Status is
shown in the Refrigerator Display. (See Service mode table below for details.)
Note: When there is the request to visualize some extra information more than the status of
the load (ex: freezer defrost heater and freezer defrost evaporator temperature), the
visualization on the displays is performed in this way:
•Freezer Display: N°item
•whilst testing the heater and sensor the value will be displayed in the fridge section
and alternate between value and status
8. To EXIT from diagnostic mode, press and hold + (freezer) and – (freezer) buttons for 10
seconds. The appliance will restart in normal mode.

b. When VCZ Damper is open it shows
“OP”, when close it shows “CL”.
c. Then check for air flow when damper is
fully open “OP”; and no air leaks when
fully closed “CL”.
d. During the movement of damper, it
blinks a “1”.
e. If the Freezer evaporator fan presents
some errors during its movement, it is
alternatively displayed the error status of
the fan (LC, nS, nP) and the status of
the damper (OP, CL).
f. Press (CUBE) button to change the
status and open/close the damper.

chute door are performed recursively for
3 consecutive times and in case of
failure it shows “Er”.

Remove the Ice Bucket

see clearly the rotation of the ice tray.

c. During the rotation of the ice tray, it
blinks on the display “1”.
d. In case of failure at the end of the
twisting action it shows “Er”.
e. Press (CUBE) button to change the
status and start the rotation.
