Westinghouse
1. Overview
Cobalt is a user interface (UI) to be control a French door/Multi door product.
This UI is responsible to control the cavities, functions and the dispenser (I&W).
1.1. First Surface UI – Overlay
The images below are to be used as a reference of the artwork overlay that
would be used as first surface UI.

Diagnostic Mode (Service Mode): Notes
While in Diagnostic Mode:
1. The heater will run during test but only upto 44 degrees via the
sensor
2. the heater will revert to off mode if diagnostics is progressed
3. do not run valves and solenoids for more then 1 min at a time
4. whilst testing the heater and sensor the value will be displayed in
fridge section and alternate between value and statas
How to enter The Diagnostic Mode:
To enter The diagnostic mode, press and hold "+"(freezer) and "–"(freezer) buttons for 10
seconds during the normal runtime of the appliance

Behavior in Diagnostic Mode:
1. To enter diagnostic mode, press and hold + (freezer) and – (freezer) for 10 seconds.
2. On detection of 10-sec-holding of above buttons, all the Display LEDs on the External UI
Turn on & a beep tone will be heard
3. Press (Refrigerator) + button to progress through the different loads.
4. Press (Refrigerator) – button to come back to previous function.
5. Press (CUBE) button to change the status of the load.
6. Each load is associated with a number indicated in the Freezer Display and the Status is
shown in the Refrigerator Display. (See Service mode table below for details.)
Note: When there is the request to visualize some extra information more than the status of
the load (ex: freezer defrost heater and freezer defrost evaporator temperature), the
visualization on the displays is performed in this way:
•Freezer Display: N°item
•whilst testing the heater and sensor the value will be displayed in the fridge section
and alternate between value and status
8. To EXIT from diagnostic mode, press and hold + (freezer) and – (freezer) buttons for 10
seconds. The appliance will restart in normal mode.

The maximum value can be 9999 days so 4 digits are needed to display whole information;

At the end of the Lifetime visualization, the last section is related to display a free counter.
It is a 1 second up-counting timer (0,1,2,3…) and the digit is displayed simultaneously on the 2
displays (Freezer and Refrigerator).
This phase communicates that Service Mode has come to end.
To return to normal mode you have to press and hold + (freezer) and – (freezer) for 10 seconds
or unplug the appliance and plug it again.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1) Items n° 80, 81 are present only for MDR4 model Fully Convertible SEA market
where we have an I&W system based on Internal Water Tank, DC water pump, DC
diverter valve.
2) Items n° 8, 53, 56 (AC water valves) are not present on MDR4 model Fully
Convertible SEA market.
3) Items n° 17, 32, 74, 76, 77 are not present on Double Freezer Asia Pacific
Westinghouse WHE7074SA because the VCZ compartment is not present and the
drawer works as standard freezer.
4) The ID_String related to software version of the Indigo User Interface is not
displayed for Double Freezer Asia Pacific Westinghouse model WHE7074SA
because the UI on the VCZ drawer is not present.
