This Guide The purpose of this guide is to help the customer obtain the greatest return on
investment. Speedline suggests that operators, supervisors, and technicians

In This Chapter This Chapter contains the following sections:
Introduction The standard conveyor on a Bravo™ system is a mesh belt left–to–right conveyor.
The standard conveyor can be configured with or replaced by the following
options:
• Alternate Conveyor Direction

• Combination Pin Chain and Mesh Belt Conveyor

Alternate Direction Conveyor
Description To accommodate process line requirements, a Bravo™ 8105 can be built so that
conveyor movement is from right to left. All other aspects of the machine are the
same as a standard left–to–right machine.

Software To configure right–to–left conveyor direction in the software, select Configure >
Options from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Ensure that “right to left” is
selected. Refer to Figure 1–2.

Pin Chain Computer Controlled Motorized Width Adjust
Introduction The optional Motorized Width Adjust uses the computer interface to control the
width of the conveyor rails via software. Width adjust can be performed in either
Process Screen or in the Width Adjust Setup Screen. Refer to the following
section to perform width adjust using the software option.

The Setpoint displays in the bottom parameter of the Width Adjust display on the
Process Graphic Screen. Refer to Figure 1–3. The Actual Width displays above
the Setpoint display.
• To change the width setting, highlight the width parameter in the Setpoint
field and enter a new number.
• Press Enter.
• Click on the Start button below the setpoint.
• The indicator is Red when the width adjust motor is On. It is Gray when the
width adjust motor is Off.
• The rails stop automatically when they reach the width adjust setpoint. If it is
desired to stop the rails before they reach the setpoint, click on the Stop but-
ton.

Process Tabular
The Width Adjust Setpoint parameter displays to the right of the “Rail Width”
label in the Process Tabular Screen. The Actual value is displayed to the right of
the Actual display. Refer to Figure 1–4.
To change the Setpoint, highlight it and enter a new value. Click on the Set
button. To stop the Rail Width Adjust while it is in progress, click on the Stop
button.

Access the Setup Screen by selecting Setup > Motorized Width from the Menu
Bar at the top of the screen. The Setup Window displays.
The Setpoint appears next to the “Width Setpoint” label and the Actual value
appears below that. Press the Start button to engage the Automatic Width
operation.

Introduction The Combination Conveyor consists of a standard Mesh Belt Conveyor and a Pin
Chain Conveyor in the same machine. Maintenance requirements are detailed in
the Bravo™ Maintenance Guide in separate sections (Mesh Belt maintenance and
Pin Chain Maintenance). Refer to the following paragraph for software setup.
Software Setup Select Setup > Options Configuration from the menu bar at the top of the
screen. Ensure that “Pin Chain or Combo” has a check in the box beside it. Refer
to Figure 1–6.
