UNPACKING
The packaging (boxes and foam) was designed to effectively
protect your ELIPSON electronics during transport and shipping.
Please conserve them for later use.
PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT
If you wish to dispose of the packaging, keep in mind that
it is recyclable. Please follow the appropriate steps to
guarantee the protection of the environment according to
your available facilities (for example, materials sorting). At the end
of its life cycle, you should not throw this instrument into a standard
waste receptacle. It should be brought to a recycling center for
electronic equipment. This symbol on the product indicates that
it was designed to be recycled according to specic procedures.
You will therefore be making a very signicant contribution to
environmental preservation. This device respects the RoHS European
Directive. This means that it does not emit polluting substances when
it is recycled (lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium,
polybromobiphenyls, polybromodiphenylethers).
CLEARANCE SPACE
This device gives off heat, and a 5 cm (2 inch) space on all sides will
enable necessary air circulation above and below.
To keep this device within normal functioning temperature conditions,
do not leave it near a source of heat or exposed to direct sunlight.
Operate only on a rm surface (do not operate on a bed, cushion,
sofa or any other surface of this type) because this may obstruct
ventilation openings underneath.
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
This product is built according to rigorous norms and complies with
security standards. Nevertheless, you should use it under normal
conditions as described below. Verify the electrical currency voltage
before plugging into the electrical outlet.
This electronic device was designed to function in several countries.
Verify that the electrical voltage chosen in the back of the device
corresponds to your country’s current. We recommend that you
connect your amplier completely before hooking it into the outlet.
HANDLE THE ELECTRONIC CORD WITH CARE
When you unplug the power cord from an outlet, grasp it from the
plug and not from the cable. If you do not expect to use the device
for an extended period of time, unplug it from the outlet.
DO NOT OPEN THE CASE.
This device contains no part that the
consumer can change. Accessing the
inside of the device could lead to electric
shock. Any modication to the product will
result in invalidation of the guarantee. If an
object or liquid enters the case, contact
the vendor to arrange for a technician to remove it from the device
to ensure safety.

1. CONTENTS OF THE BOX
Before use, conrm that the following accessories are included:

2. CONNECTIONS
2.1 Speakers
When connecting your speakers, connect the left speaker to the
L terminal block and the right speaker to the R terminal. Match up
the cable ends: the plus on the amplier to the plus on the speaker,
the minus on the amplier to the minus of the speaker.
You can connect your speakers in two different ways:
•Stripped cable: strip or twist 10 mm of cable before introducing it
into the terminal
•Cable with banana plug: remove the protector located at the
center of the terminal and insert the banana plug
2.2 Subwoofer
To connect a bass box, plug it into the « Sub out ». For adjustment
and advanced conguration of the bass box output, see page 11.

2.4 Optical
You can connect a device equipped with an optical output to
enjoy digital quality sound.
2.5 MP3
You can connect an MP3 player or any other device equipped
with headphones output by using the mini-jack cable included.
2.6 USB
You can plug in a USB key on the MC by using the USB plug located
on the side.
2.7 DAB / FM Tuner
To receive a radio signal, the antenna cable included should be
attached to the «Radio Antenna» plug.
2.8 Bluetooth Wireless input
The Music Center features a wireless Bluetooth input so you can
connect your smartphone, tablet, or PC/Mac computer.
Whenever your Bluetooth source allows for it, a Bluetooth aptX link
will be established to give you high performance audio quality.
2.9 Headphones
You can plug in wired headphones with the headphone plug.
2.10 Connecting an extra amplier
Although it already includes an amplier, the MC is equipped with
a Pre outlet that will let you connect another, for example, more
powerfull amplier. This amplier should be connected to the Pre
out output.
2.11 Voltage selection switch
Choose the voltage that matches the standard in your country of
residence. Then connect the power cable.

3.1 CD CD
The MC is equipped with a slot-in CD player 1. To read a CD,
carefully insert the disc in the slot on the front side.
The CD will be read automatically.
CD 4: to choose the CD selection
Right/left Joystick 6: rewind/fast forward
Eject 9: ejects the CD
Next/previous track button 7: next or previous track
Play/Pause 6: to play/pause
Digital track 1: direct access to the track
Display 14 : song time elapsed/song time remaining/CD time
elapsed/CD time remaining
Repeat 11 : song/CD
Random 12 : selects randomly
3.2 Bluetooth wireless input 4Wireless
You can connect your smartphone, tablet, and computer to your
Music Center by a Bluetooth wireless connection.
The term «Smartphone» will be used to designate all Bluetooth
sources for more readability.
To set up this connection:
• On the MC, go to the «wireless» input 4
• On your smartphone, make sure that the Bluetooth function is on
• On your smartphone, select «Elipson MC BT»
• Set the MC volume at -20dB to start
• Play a song on your smartphone
The name of your smartphone will appear on the MC display once
the connection has been made.
The MC remote control will control your smartphone’s play / pause
/ previous track / next track functions.

Bluetooth aptX : If your smartphone features the aptX function, a
high quality audio link will be established.
CAUTION : to maximize your Bluetooth connectivity, do not place
the MC inside furniture made of metal or on the oor. This will
diminish the range considerably and lead to temporary sound
shortage or signal drop. A 10m range has been tested and
conrmed in open space without signal loss or drop.
3.3 FM/DAB Tuner FM/DAB
3.3.1 FM Tuner
Left/right directional track 6: frequency change increment
equal to 0.05MHz
Up/down directional track 6: frequency change up to the
next available radio station in the region.
To set a radio station (up to 25 pre-set):
• Choose the radio station frequency
• Press on the «Memory» button 13
• Enter a number with the digital track
• Conrm by pushing on the «Enter» button 6
Next/previous track 7: lets you move from one memorized radio
station to another.
Display
14 : show RDS information if available.
3.3.2 DAB Tuner
The Music Center will automatically record the rst 25 DAB stations.
Preset: use the remote number to get direct access to your
preset

To set a radio station (up to 25 preset stations):
• Choose the desired radio station
• Press on the «Memory» button 13
• Enter a number on the digital track
• Conrm by pushing on the «Enter» button 6
Up Joystick 6: launch scanning sequence.

3.4 AUX. 1 and AUX.2 inputs AUX 1/2
You can only adjust the volume on this input.
3.5 USB input USB
Once the USB key is plugged in to the side of the device, the MC
scans its content and displays the track number.
Use the track changing buttons to navigate.
MP3 and WMA compatibility.
3.6 Optical input Optical
You can only adjust the volume on this input.
3.7 MP3 input MP3
You can only adjust the volume on this input.
3.8 Menu Menu
The MC menu lets you congure certain functions. Use the
directional track and the «Enter» 6 conrmation key in the center
to navigate and validate.
3.8.1 EQ
You can adjust treble, bass, and balance on the MC to modify
the sound of your speakers.
3.8.2 Subwoofer
You can congure the MC so that it lters the signal sent
to the speakers and to the Sub-out output. This will provide better
integration of the subwoofer with your speakers.
The bass cut frequency is adjustable from 50 Hz to
200 Hz in increments of 5 Hz. Frequencies cut on the output
of the MC speakers will be sent toward the Sub out output.
No lter : the Sub out output includes the same frequencies as
the speaker output.
Filter : the Sub out ouput includes the frequencies that
have been cut on the speaker output.
3.8.3 Rename AUX.
The two Aux inputs can be renamed to allow easier user
recognition. A label with 4 letters can be added (AUX.1, TV,
AUX.2 TNT for example)
3.8.4 Display luminosity
The MC’s screen luminosity can be adjusted over four
levels: 1-2-3-AUTO
The AUTO position adapts screen brightness according to
available light in the room
3.8.5 Reset default
You can return your MC back to its factory conguration by
using the Reset default function. All settings will be returned to
zero.
