Compact adjustable spike spotlights
are available in 316 stainless steel, natural copper and
aluminium powder-coated in a choice of three colours - black,
dark green and rustic brown. They are designed for 20w, 35w
or50whalogenlampsin240vGU10modelsformainsvoltage
installations or 12v MR16 versions for use with remote
transformer. Low energy options include 3w or 6w led
modules and 240v GU10 7w, 9w, 11w or 14w compact
fluorescent spotlamps, including a dimmable 11w lamp.
Powersaver 12v halogen lamps offer an energy saving of
over 30% compared to standard halogen lamps - a 35w
Powersaver gives almost the same light output as a 50 watt
standardhalogenlamp. (Orderlampsseparately).
There is space inside the spotlight body to fit an E4010 58mm
honeycomb glare louvre or a clip-on MR16 spread lens,
frostedlens orcolour filteronto thefront ofthe lamp.The front
bezelcanbeunscrewedwithoutuseoftoolstomakeiteasyto
changethelampwithouttools,ortofittheoptionalRotashield

glare shield which can be rotated 360 to provide glare
protection from any angle. The flush lens keeps the glass
cleaner longer and is easier to clean periodically. The
adjustable knuckle joint is mounted on a 20cm slim rod spike
which may be replaced by an optional 50cm or 1m extended
spike for use amongst taller planting or by the E4009 Ground
Anchor, a finned polycarbonate ground spike to hold the
spotlight firmly in loose soil or withstand disturbance. The
spotlight body is made from solid metal tube and is mounted
on an adjustable knuckle joint providing full flexibility of
positioning. 12v spotlights are fitted with a 1.5m 2 core cable;
240v spotlights are fitted with a 2m 3 core cable. The glanded
cableentryfacilitatesrewiringintheeventofcabledamage.

halogen lamps in Compact 12v spotlights offer the widest
beam angle option for moonlighting and canopy uplighting
applications: led modules may be used as a low energy
option. Optional MR16ASL spread lens widens the beam
for greater coverage. 240v Compact spotlights with
compact fluorescent lamps combine long lamp life with
warm white light output, wide diffuse beam and low energy
consumption. Tree straps loop over threaded studs on the
E4013 strap-on mount and will stretch to fit around
branches or trunks to provide secure mounting and
flexibilityforgrowth.Washersandwing-nutsareprovidedto
secure the strap in place on the mount studs. E4010
honeycomb glare louvre may be fitted behind the lens to
reduce the visibility of the light source and reduce glare;
Rotashield glare shields may be fitted for added glare
protection. MR16AMDFmoonlighting(paleblue)filtermay
be clipped onto an MR16 lamp inside to provide a cool
lightingeffect.E4012screw-onmountcatersforinstallation
on large trunks or trellis structures and can be strapped

available in two lengths with a perforated barrel
which combines a downlighting beam with
pinpoints of light through the side to add fun and
sparkle to a garden lighting scheme. Sparkle and

E6271 Microflood Duo isa 12vfloodlightwith 2 independently
adjustable heads, providing overlapping beams ideal for
uplighting hedge screens and taller shrubs or washing light
acrossa lawn,path orgravel area.Each floodlight head can be
adjusted or removed from the body for lamp replacement by
twisting to release it from the twin retaining “O" rings.
Microflood is weatherproof to Ip66, fitted with a 1.5m rubber

Wall-mounted halogen spotlights
aimed at an angle from a wall

the ground, light intensity
decreasing further from the wall.
Keep the beam axis under 30
degrees from vertical to reduce
glare. A rule of thumb when
downlighting is to relate lamp
wattage to mounting height to
avoid being too bright. Wide flood
lamps are usual for downlighting
areas; narrower beams are used
for accent lighting of features.
Examples below are typical
downlightingrecommendationsfor
a terrace from a house wall or
pergolabeam.
Internal glare louvres are
recommended when downlighting
onto seating areas, unless frosted
lenses are being used to soften
and diffuse the lighting at lower
mounting heights. Aligning the
lower edge of the lamp beam with
the wall will produce a “grazing”
effect to emphasise texture. For
energy saving options, led lamps
may be used to cast of pool of low
level light onto a table from a
pergola,whilecompactfluorescent
lamps may be fitted to 240v
spotlights for wide, diffuse
downlighting of a terrace from the
wallofahouse.

For downlighting from garden structures, stick to low wattage lamps the
lower the mounting height and the more subtle the ambience required.
A 20w halogen lamp is more than adequate for most projects requiring

locations using a 12v MR16 20-50w halogen reflector lamp or low
energy l.e.d. lamp: Neptune fitted with new Powersaver 50w
energy-efficient halogen lamps is equivalent to an ordinary 75w
halogen spotlight. Neptune features stainless steel screw fixings
androbust constructionin cast brassor 316gradestainless steel,
providing more certain location in water than lighter aluminium or

plasticunderwaterlights. Athicker1.5mm 6metre cable reduces
cable voltage drop to improve lamp efficiency and facilitates ease
of connection to a remote transformer without use of underwater
joints.Awiderangeofmountingaccessories isavailable including

There are 4 Neptune models in a choice of sandblasted brass,
black powder-coat and brushed stainless steel finish - with plain
front for general use, grid providing glare protection in shallow
water, glare shield concealing the light source in uplighting
applications, while eyelid hood performs the same function in
horizontal lighting in rills etc. Neptune is rated for 50w halogen
lamps underwater, maximum 35w above water and maximum
20w in recessed applications in walkover areas, where an MR16
led module is a recommended option for a cool lens. Low energy,
long life options range from 1w l.e.d. lamp (equivalent to 10w
halogen)to6wl.e.d.lampsequivalentto50whalogenlamps.

Neptune brass and 316 stainless steel 12v underwater lights
can be installed as IP68 35w recessed lights using matching
Neptune round or square recess niche and stainless steel
sleeve. The body of the Neptune is screwed into the recess
niche with the 2 screws supplied before fitting the gasket, lens
and front plate. The niche and sleeve may be installed prior to
paving or wall construction, with the provision of conduit to
allowthe 6mcable tobe connectedto thetransformer position
later. Neptune Recessed lights are ideal for fixed uplighting
applications such as feature planting, small trees, columns,
gate pillars and facades, as well as a choice of square

Navigator Aqua are miniature 12v recessed lights with a
choiceofwhiteor bluel.e.d.swhichconsumeatinyamount
of power and stay cool to the touch. The three 0.1w led's
produce a wide, low power 60 degree beam through the
clear polycarbonate lens, which looks like a clear plastic
button and is very inconspicious where more visible metal
housings are not desirable. Navigator Aqua are resin
sealed to IP68 and fitted with a 6m cable for use in
underwater and damp locations. They are used as
highlighters in pebble pools and rills, to waymark stepping
stones across water features, and as inconspicuous effect
lighting in walls, alongside paths or in step risers. They are
waterproof to IP68 for underwater use: the triple led cluster
is resin-encapsulated within the clear polycarbonate case.
They can be recessed with adhesive in decking, sleeper
walls and other materials using a 25mm wood or other drill.
Navigator Aqua consumes 0.3 watts: for l.e.d. loads of less
than 25 watts use a 12v dc power supply to ensure voltage
stability. If using ac transformers of 20-60va, ensure they
are loaded to at least 75%. Ensure Navigator Aqua lights
can be connected directly to a transformer using the 6m
cablefittedor incustomlayoutsusing T9962cablejointkits
and 1.5mm cable: for splicing into a run of cable use T9963
cablesplicekit.(Donotuseelectronictransformers).

Waymarkers are smart modern drive-over

& 240v versions in 316 stainless steel,
natural copper and a fine sandblasted
brass finish. Lamp choices range from 12v

GU10 model is intended primarily for use
with a long life, low energy 7w compact

lighting to one side only: Waymarker360
