Gravity Fed Filling Instructions
1Open the Manual Air Release Valve
located on top of the unit. (D)
2 Partially open the 1.5” Inlet Valve. (H)
3 When the water level rises up to the
 Bio-reactor’sTopGrillPlate(C), close
the Manual Air Release Valve. (D)
4 CarryonllingtheunituntiltheMechanical
Tri-Valve (A) seals itself; this happens when
a small white ball appears at the top of
the valve.
5 Fully open the 1.5” Inlet Valve. (H)
6 Open the Return Valve (right hand valve) (F)
7 Switch on the main water pump.

1Switch off the main water pump and close the 1.5” Inlet Valve and Return Valve. (H) (F)
2Open the Bio-reactor Waste Water Valve (I) and allow the water level to drop
to just above the top grill. (C)
3Close Waste Water valve. (I)
4Open the Manual Air Release Valve (very important). (D)
5Pull up The Sliding Grill via the handle on top of the unit. (B)
6Switch on your air pump (max 30 lpm) and plug the airline into the air valve (E); this supplies
 theBio-reactor’saircleaningsystem.
7The Orbs media will start to bubble and rotate; this dislodges debris from the media.
8After two to three minutes, drain to waste by opening the Waste Water valve (I).
Close valve (I) when drained.
10Unplugtheairline(itisimportanttounplugtheairlinewhenrelling).
11RelltheBio-reactorbypartiallyopeningthe1.5”InletValve(G). When the water level is above
the Top Grill Plate (C), close the valve.

12 Repeat the cleaning process until the Orbs media are clean.
13 Once the orbs media are clean drain the water to waste. Close the valve. (I)
14 Partially open the 1.5” Inlet Valve. (H)
