1.
Foreword
The Wrist Tag (TXRS-860) is a transmitter, used in home
arrest systems.
The Wrist Tag (TXRS-860 / TRXS-860-2) is transmitting on an
Ameri an FCC tested and approved frequen y; whereas the
European version (TXRS-860-2) is transmitting on a European
tested and approved frequen y. From a user interfa e and
fun tion point of view the two models are identi al; therefore this
user manual serves both versions.

2.
Installing t e Wrist Tag.
Hold the transmitter in your hand with the metal pins (along the
strap) pointing forward.
Hold the Ele troni Key in your other hand, with the bla k button
pointing toward the open or free end of the strap.
Press the Ele troni Key over the metal pins with the two tou h
points on the Ele troni Key mat hing the metal pins on the
Transmitter strap. Hold the
Ele troni key in this position
while you do the next step.

Press the red button on the
Ele troni Key down for one
se ond; the red light turns steadily on for two (2) se onds.
If the transmitter su essfully re eives the reset ommand, the red
light, on the Ele troni Key, will flash for two (2) se onds.
Note that if the Tag has failed to re eive the startup ommand the
red light will turn off after the initial two (2) se onds ON.
If the Electronic Key battery is low the red light will immediately
flash for two (2) seconds, once the red button is pressed. (No
command is sent to the transmitter).

Pla e the Tag on its side, on a non-metal surfa e, for 30 se onds.
Attac ing t e Transmitter
Pla e a strap holder over the short
strap (strap with pin side) of the
Transmitter.
Atta h the female Clip to the
underside of the Transmitter’s short
strap (to lie against the Offenders
skin). Che k that the losed end of
the lip fits with the edge of the strap.
Wrap the Transmitter around the Offender’s wrist/ankle at its
narrowest point ensuring that, with the ankle Transmitter the
protruding side of the Transmitter body is dire ted upwards.
Lay the long strap over the female lip
ensuring that all pins on the short
strap are protruding through the long
strap.
Slide the strap holder over the end of
the long strap in order to hold it in
pla e.
It is important to note that the Transmitter must fit tightly around
the Offender’s wrist/ankle, but not squeezing.

Cover the female lip with the
male lip ensuring that the pins
on the male lip fit orre tly into
the female lip (the grooves on
the side of ea h lip must mat h).
Ask the Offender to stand up and move around to insure that the
Tag is omfortable.
Fasten the two Clips with the lo king tool. Be sure to fasten all
the four pins well. An audible li king sound should be heard,
indi ating that the Clips are losed properly.
Don t install the Tag over a thick sock, since the Tag will get
too loose once the sock is removed. If the Tag is installed
without a sock, instruct the offender that he should not put on a
very thick sock, and then try to pull it under the Tag. The
Offender may wear a thin sock underneath and a thick sock over
the Tag.

General Rules for t e Client
The Transmitter is a waterproof wristwat h and there is no need
to remove it when taking a bath or a shower. You an even wear
it when swimming and diving in a swimming pool or taking a
sauna bath.
Turn the Transmitter’s transmission off when admitting to a
hospital, either for a visit or for hospitalization, sin e the
transmitted signal may affe t other medi al instrumentation.
Turn the Transmitter’s transmission off when boarding a flight,
sin e the transmitted signal may affe t the air raft’s avioni s thus
impairing flight safety.
Turning the Transmitter’s transmission off should be done by an
authorized personnel, as follows:
• Press the ele troni key’s BLACK button down for one
se ond, the red light turns steadily ON for two (2) se onds.
• If the shut down ommand has been su essfully re eived, the
red light on the Ele troni Key will flash for two (2) se onds.
Note that if the transmitter has failed to re eive the shut down
ommand the red light will turn off after the initial two (2)
se onds ON.
If the Electronic Key battery is low the red light will
immediately flash for two (2) seconds, once the black button is
pressed. (No command is sent to the transmitter).

4.
Maintenance Instructions
4.1.
Cleaning t e Wrist Tag
A soft brush and any leaning solution are all that is needed to
lean the Wrist Tag TXRS-860.
Al ohol based solutions; Soapy water or Lysol an be used to
lean the Tag. For additional safety and user omfort it is
Re ommended that after leaning with any of the above the Tag
be washed with lear water before it is reused.
Holding it at the end of the long strap, spray the Tag with
leaning solution of hoi e (see above). Alternatively you an
simply drop the Tag in the leaning solution.
Using a pie e of loth or a paper towel, dry the outer side of the
Tag. Lay the Tag on the towel with its inner side fa ing up. Using
a soft brush or another pie e of loth/towel gently s rub the inner
side of the Tag.
Wash the Tag in lear water. Dry the Tag using a pie e of
loth/paper towel or simply let it dry.

4.2.
Wrist Tag Straps Replacement
Possible reasons for a repla ing a strap ould be:
• Visible damage to one or both straps.
• Re eption of strap tamper alarms, with no visual reason
seen.
• Tag does not alibrate.
Turn the Tag off with the ele troni key.
Using the supplied snake eye s rewdriver, open the s rew that
holds the strap lasp and remove the strap lasp.
Gently shake the strap loose from the Tag body. Be areful not to
damage the metal pins on the Tag body.
Position the new strap over the Tag body. Noti e that the two
small holes on the strap have to lie exa tly over the two metal
pins.
Gently pla e the strap down over the metal pins and press down
along the seam of the strap, snugly fitting the entire strap to the
Tag.
Put the strap lasp ba k in pla e (the wider side pointing in-
wards).

Close the s rew with the s rewdriver. It has to be losed firmly,
but not too tight sin e this an damage the strap.
A tivate the Tag with the ele troni key, lose the strap and test
for “strap losed” message re eption.
