lights of the on/off button and the temperature button (100℃) will be on. The appliance starts to boil
water. You can press the temperature buttons 70℃, 80℃, 90℃or 100℃at any time during working,
and then the kettle will heat the water to that temperature. The kettle will switch off automatically
once the temperature has been reached. You can also shut off the power by pressing the on/off button
again at any moment during working.
If you want to keep the water warm, press the keep warm button during working, its indicator light will
flash in blue. The appliance will enter into keep warm mode after finish brewing. The keep warm time
is 30 minutes. Press the button again to exit keep warm function.
NOTE: Always ensure the lid is closed and do not lift the kettle while the water is boiling. Scalding may
occur if the lid is open during the brewing cycles.
4. Take the plug out of the outlet. Lift the kettle then pour the water.
NOTE: Operate carefully when pouring the water from your kettle as boiling water will scald. Do not
open the lid while the water in the kettle is hot.
5. The kettle may be stored on the power base when not in use. Never re-boil water older than 2 hours.
NOTE: Ensure power supply is turned off when kettle is not in use.
6. Should you accidentally allow the kettle to operate without water; the boil-dry protection will
automatically switch it off. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water and
re-boiling.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Always let the kettle cool down first and disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before
cleaning.
2. Never immerse the kettle area or cord in water, or allow moisture to contact with these parts.
3. To clean the filter: unlock the lid and take out the filter. Rinse it under running water; use a small brush
to clean it and then dry it.
Cleaning appearance of housing:
Wipe the external housing with a mild and damp cloth or cleaner.
Caution: Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle.
Never immerse the power base in water or other liquid for cleaning.
Descale regularly, preferably at least once a month and more frequently if your water is very hard.
To descale your kettle, use:
• white vinegar:
- fill the kettle with half a litre of vinegar
- leave to stand for 1 hour without heating
• citric acid:
- boil half a litre of water
- add 25g of citric acid and leave to stand for 15 minutes.
Empty your kettle and rinse it 5 or 6 times.
Storage
When not in use or in storage, the power cord may be winded around the cord storage under the base.
