4) Self-Test M de
An internal diagn stic t l can als be enabled using the pti nal MCM m dule. This t l all ws the user t
c nfirm that all f the Inputs and Outputs n the manif ld are fully functi nal with ut needing a netw rk
c nnecti n r c ntr ller. There are tw test m des that the user can ch se using SW2-8. The “Output” test
m de tests all the utputs by sequentially turning them ON ne at a time. The “Input/Output” test m de
tests the inputs by causing all f the utputs t t ggle between even and dd values when any input is made.
T use the Self-Test M de, the user must first set s me initial c nditi ns using the MCM m dule. F ll w
these steps t btain the needed initial c nditi n settings. Remember t rem ve p wer fr m the manif ld
bef re making changes t the MCM when setting these initial c nditi ns.
1) Disc nnect p wer and air fr m the manif ld!
2) Rec rd current MCM settings.
3) Set the r tary switches t 99 (SW3 and SW4).
4) Make sure that SW1-5, SW2-1, and SW2-7 are in the “ON” p siti n.
5) Select the desired test m de with SW2-8 (see table bel w)

The initial c nditi ns are n w set. T enable the Self-Test M de, apply p wer t the manif ld and make the
f ll wing changes while the m dule status LED is blinking (within 5 t 10 sec nds f p wer up):
1) Set SW2-6 t the “ON” p siti n.
2) Set SW2-7 t the “OFF” p siti n.
Once Self-Test M de is enabled, the m dule status LED will flash red/green until Self-Test M de is
terminated by rem ving p wer t the unit. Remember t return the MCM settings t their riginal settings t
return the c mmunicati n n de t n rmal perati n.
