Zum Kauf dieses EMPHASER Nachrüstsystems für BMW Fahrzeuge. Falls Sie beabsich-
tigen das System selbst einzubauen bitten wir Sie, sich eingehend mit den nachfolgend im
Detail beschriebenen Montage- und Einstellmöglichkeiten dieses Lautsprechersets vertraut
zu machen.
Falls Sie weitere Fragen zu diesem Lautsprechersystem haben, lassen Sie sich von Ihrem
EMPHASER Händler beraten.
Kontrollieren Sie, ob sich alle unten gelisteten Teile in der Verpackung befinden. Das System
besteht aus folgenden Einzelkomponenten:
■ 2 Tiefmitteltöner (nur EM-BMW3FR1)
■ 2 Hochtöner (nur EM-BMW3FR1)
■ 1 Set Tweeter Installationszubehör (nur EM-BMW3FR1)
■ 1 Set Anschlusskabel für Installation Typ A

■ 1 Set Montageadapter Typ A/B

Wenden Sie sich an Ihren EMPHASER-Vertragshändler, wenn der Inhalt dieses Sets unvoll-
ständig ist oder Teile davon Transportschäden aufweisen.
MONTAGE
Dieses Set ist kompatibel mit einer Vielzahl von BMW Fahrzeugen. Für eine schrittgenaue
Anleitung zur korrekten Demontage der originalen Lautsprecher Ihres Fahrzeuges wenden
Sie sich bitte an Ihre BMW Servicewerkstatt. Exemplarisch für alle Modelle soll folgende
Anleitung für das Modell BMW F10 dienen.
Hebeln Sie vorsichtig die Zierleiste heraus. Fangen Sie am Ende der Tür an und arbeiten Sie
sich Stück für Stück nach vorne. Die Leiste ist im vorderen Bereich mit einer Blechklammer
gesichert, die durch Druck von unten gelöst wird.
Hebeln Sie als nächstes die Griffschale des Türöffners heraus.
Es sind alle Schrauben freigelegt und können gelöst werden.
Hebeln Sie nun die Türverkleidung vom Türblech. Benutzen Sie dafür ein Kunststoffhebelwerk-
zeug mit breiter Auflagefläche, um Schäden an der Verkleidung und am Lack zu vermeiden.
Fangen Sie am Anfang der Tür an und arbeiten Sie sich Stück für Stück nach hinten. Wenn
alle Clipse gelöst sind, ziehen Sie die Verkleidung vorsichtig nach oben weg.
Für mehr Bewegungsfreiraum haken Sie den Bowdenzug am Türhebel aus.

Demontieren Sie den originalen Lautsprecher.
Nur EM - BMW3FR1: Entnehmen Sie den originalen Hochtöner und befestigen Sie den neuen
EMPHASER Hochtöner. Führen Sie das Anschlusskabel zum Mitteltöner und stecken Sie es
im zweiten Terminal ein.
Nur EM-BMW3FR2: Stecken Sie das originale Kabel in das Terminal des EMPHASER Laut-
sprechers.
Montieren Sie die Türverkleidung in umgekehrter Reihenfolge.
Wählen Sie nun den passenden Adapter für Ihren neuen EMPHASER Lautsprecher.
Im Fall des BMW F10 ist es der Adapter für die Installation Typ A/B. Montieren Sie den
Adapter mit den beiliegenden Schrauben am Basislautsprecher. Anschließend kleben Sie
den beiliegenden Dichtring auf den Kragen des Adapters auf.
Platzieren Sie den fertigen EMPHASER Lautsprecher an der Türverkleidung und schrauben
Sie ihn mit den originalen Schrauben fest.

On your purchase of the EMPHASER 2-way system dedicated for BMW vehicles. If you plan
on installing this speaker system by yourself, please read the following instructions carefully
before you attempt the installation. For any further information about this product, please
contact your authorized EMPHASER dealer.
SET CONTENT
Carefully remove the loudspeakers, crossovers and the accessories from the giftbox and
check whether all parts are in good undamaged condition, and match with the set contents
listed below:
■ 2 mid/woofers (EM-BMWFR1 only)
■ 2 tweeters (EM-BMWFR1 only)
■ 1 set tweeter installation accessory (EM-BMWFR1 only)
■ 1 set connection wire Y-harness for installation type A
■ 2 coaxial speakers (EM-BMWFR2 only)
■ 1 set mounting adapter type A/B
■ 1 set mounting adapter type C
■ 1 set foam rings 115 x 102 x 13 mm for installation type A 1
■ 1 set foam rings 115 x 102 x 4 mm for installation type A/B 2
■ 1 set rubber gasket for installation type B 3
■ 1 set EVA rings 102 x 93 x 1.5 mm for installation type C 4
■ 1 set screws to fix the adapter on the speaker body
■ 1 instruction manual with warranty card
Please contact your authorized EMPHASER dealer if the content of this set is incomplete or
parts of it show signs of transport damage.
ASSEMBLY
This set is compatible with a variety of BMW vehicles. For step by step instructions on how to
disassemble the original loudspeakers of your specific vehicle correctly, please contact your
BMW service workshop. The following instructions for the BMW F10 model are to serve as
an example for all models.
Gently lever out the trim strip. Start at the end of the door and work your way forward bit by
bit. The strip is secured in the front area with a metal clamp, which is released by pressure
from below.
Next, lever out the cover of the door opener.
All screws are now exposed and can be loosened.
Now lever the door panel from the door. Use a plastic lever tool with a wide contact surface
to prevent damage to the panel surface and paint of the door. Start at the end of the door and
work your way forward bit by bit. When all the clips have been released, carefully pull the
panel upwards.
For more freedom of movement, unhook the Bowden cable on the door opener.

Disassemble the original speaker.
Only EM-BMW3FR1: Remove the original tweeter and attach the new EMPHASER tweeter.
Route the connection cable to the midrange. Insert the provided Y-cable adapter into the
EMPHASER midrange terminal and connect the original cable with the EMPHASER tweeter lead.
Only EM-BMW3FR2: Plug the original cable into the terminal of the EMPHASER loudspeaker.
Mount the door trim in reverse order.
Now choose the right adapter for your new EMPHASER loudspeaker. In the case of the BMW
F10, it is the adapter for installation type A / B. Mount the adapter to the base loudspeaker
chassis with the enclosed screws. Finally stick the provided foam ring to the adapter.
Place the completely assembled EMPHASER loudspeaker on the door panel and tighten it
with the original screws.

4. EMPHASER LIMITED WARRANTY
Dear customer
Keep the original packing for later use and read the warranty specifications below carefully.
Should your EMPHASER product require warranty service, please return it to the retailer from whom
it was purchased or the distributor in your country. Should you have difficulty in finding an authorized
EMPHASER service center, details are available from your local distributor.
This EMPHASER product is warranted against defective materials and defects caused during ma-
nufacturing for a period of two years from date of purchase, to the original purchaser. Warranty work
will not be carried out unless the warranty certificate is presented together with the original sales slip.
WARRANTY LIMITATIONS
This warranty does not cover damages due to:
1. incorrect audio or power connection(s).
2. exposure to excessive humidity, fluids, sun rays or dirt and dust.
3. damage by accidents or mechanical shock.
4. abuse, unauthorized repair attempts and modifications not explicitly authorized by the manufacturer.
This warranty is limited to the repair or the replacement of the defective product at the manufacturer’s
option and does not include any other form of damage, whether incidental, consequential or other-
wise. The warranty does not cover any transport costs or damages caused by transport or shipment
of the product.

Wir bitten Sie, die Originalverpackung für einen allfälligen Transport aufzuheben und die Garantie-
Bestimmungen durchzulesen.
Sollten Sie für Ihren Aktivsubwoofer Garantie-Leistungen beanspruchen, wenden Sie sich bitte direkt
an den Händler, bei dem Sie das Gerät gekauft haben.
Bei Schwierigkeiten, ein geeignetes EMPHASER Service-Center zu finden, erhalten Sie bei Ihrem
jeweiligen Landes-Vertrieb weitere Informationen.
Der Hersteller gewährleistet auf dieses EMPHASER Produkt bei Material- oder Herstellungsfehlern
zwei Jahre Garantie an den Erstkäufer, geltend ab Kaufdatum der ausgestellten Rechnung. Garantie-
Ansprüche können nur mit einer korrekt und vollständig ausgefüllten Garantie-Karte zusammen mit
dem Original-Kaufbeleg geltend gemacht werden.
GARANTIE-EINSCHRÄNKUNGEN
Nicht unter Garantie fallen Schäden infolge von:
1. inkorrekten Audio- oder Stromanschlüssen.
2. schädlichen Einwirkungen von übermäßiger Feuchtigkeit, Flüssigkeiten, Hitze, Sonneneinstrah-
lung oder starker Verschmutzung.
3. mechanischer Beschädigung durch Unfall oder Stössen.
4. Schäden durch nicht autorisierte Reparaturversuche oder nicht durch den Hersteller ausdrücklich
autorisierte Modifikationen.
Die Garantie dieses Produkts bleibt in jedem Fall auf die Reparatur bzw. den Ersatz (Entscheidung
durch Hersteller) des jeweiligen EMPHASER Produkts beschränkt. Schäden durch unsachgemäße
Verpackung und daraus resultierende Transportschäden werden nicht durch diese Garantie abge-
deckt. Jeder über diese Garantie-Erklärung hinausgehende Anspruch und jede Haftung für direkte
oder indirekte Folgeschäden werden ausdrücklich abgelehnt.
