TheXTREME4MX4x4HDMI™ScalerMatrixwithvideowallfunctionprovidesthemostflexibleand
costeffectivesolutioninthemarket.ThenewXTREME4MXcanbeusedasaconventionalmatrixswtich,
routingupto4differentHDMIvideosourcestoanymonitorindependentlyorbeusedasvideowall
processor,splittingachosenimagefrom4sourcesto4displays.Ontopofthat,itcanworkas"combo"
gear,showinganyindividualinputsourceinfull‐screenforanyselecteddisplaywhileotherdisplaysare
workinginvideowallmode.

BeforeInstallation
Puttheproductinanevenandstablelocation.Iftheproductfallsdownordrops,itmaycausean
injuryormalfunction.
Donotplacetheproductintoohightemperature(over50°C),toolowtemperature(under0°C)or
highhumidity.
UsetheDCpowersupplyunitwithcorrectspecifications.Ifinappropriatepowersupplyisusedthen
itmaycauseafire.
Donottwistorpullbyforceendsofthecable.Itcancausemalfunction.
EDIDLEARNING
TheEDIDlearningfunctionisonlynecessarywheneveryouencounteranydisplayontheHDMIoutputportthat
cannotplayaudioandvideoproperly.BecausetheHDMIsourcesanddisplaysmayhavevariouslevelofcapabilityin
playingaudioandvideo,thegeneralprincipleisthatthesourcewilloutputtheloweststandardsintermsofaudio
formatandvideoresolutionstobecommonlyacceptableamongallHDMIdisplays.Inthiscase,a720pstereoHDMI
signaloutputwouldbeprobablythesafestchoice.Nevertheless,theusercanforcethematrixtolearntheEDIDof
thelowestcapableHDMIdisplayamongotherstomakesurealldisplaysarecapabletoplaytheHDMIsignals
normally.

1. WheneverpoweroffXTREME4MX,pleasestayunpoweredatleast5to10secondstoallowpowercapacitorsto
discharge.
2. TheXTREME4MXprovidessoftwarecontrolprogramwhichrunsunderMicrosoftWindows98,2000,XP,7
throughtheinterfaceofRS‐232serialcontrol.
3. Beforeyouclickontheiconofthesoftware,makesureyouhavesecuredtheconnectionbetweenyour
computerCOMportandtheXTREME4MX.
Startthesoftwarecontrolprogram
Whenclickingontheexecutablefile,thefollowingdialogwillpop‐up.Ithastwowaystocontrolthe
XTREME4MXdevice(underMicrosoftWindows7,pleaserunasadministrator).
Step1:SelectRS‐232orEthernetconnection.

theEthernetSet.Next,usercanreadtheEthernetsettingfromdeviceormanuallysettodevice.
AfterthestepofEthernetSet,usercanselectthebuttonandkeyinthedeviceIPaddress.Then,theycan

defectsinthematerialandworkmanshipfor1yearfromthedateofpurchasefromtheSELLERoran
authorizeddealer.Shouldthisproductfailtobeingoodworkingorderwithin1yearwarrantyperiod,The
SELLER,atitsoption,repairorreplacetheunit,providedthattheunithasnotbeensubjectedtoaccident,
disaster,abuseoranyunauthorizedmodificationsincludingstaticdischargeandpowersurge.This
warrantyisofferedbytheSELLERforitsBUYERwithdirecttransactiononly.Thiswarrantyisvoidifthe
warrantysealonthemetalhousingisbroken.
Unitthatfailsunderconditionsotherthanthosecoveredwillberepairedatthecurrentpriceofparts
