Important
Important Safeguards
1. When using electrical appliances,basic safety precautions
should always be followed,including the following:

3. To protect against electrical shock,do not immerse cord,
plug or base unit in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used
by or near children.
5. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or
plug,or after the appliance malfunctions or has been
damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the Service
Center for examination, repair or adjustment.
6. Non-recommended accessory may cause hazard.
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. Do not let cord hang over edge of table of counter, or
touch hot surfaces.
9. Do not place on or near a hot gas of electric burner, or in
heated oven.
10.Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance
containing hot food, water, or other hot liquids.
11.Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
12.Lift and open cover carefully to avoid scalding. Do not
allow water to drip into Rice Cooker, or wash Rice Cooker
with water.
13. To reduce the electrical shock, cook only in removable
container. Do not pour liquid into outer pan.
14.CAUTION: This appliance generates heat and escapes steam
during use. Proper precautions must be taken to prevent
the risk of burns, fires or other damage to persons or
property.
15.The cord to this appliance should be plugged into a
220-240V~50/60Hz electrical outlet only.
16.When using this appliance, provide adequate air space

above and on all sides for air circulation. Do not allow this
appliance to touch curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dish
towels or other flammable materials during use.
17.Never use the cooking vessel to store leftover cooked rice.
Always transfer the leftover rice to a proper storage
container and keep it in the refrigerator until ready for use.
18.This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way
and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and
user maintenance shall not be made by children unless
they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance
and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
19. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way
and understand the hazards involved.
20.If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
special cord or assembly available from the manufacture or
its service agent.
21.Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
22.Never attempt repairs yourself. Repairs to electrical
appliances should only be performed by a qualified
electrician. Improper repairs may place the user at serious
risk and will invalidate the guarantee, take the appliance to
a qualified repair agent.
23. This appliance is intended to be used in household and
similar applications such as Sta kitchen areas in shops,
oces, and other working environments; farmhouses; by
clients in hotels, and other residential environments; bed
and breakfast type environments.

Before First Use
1. Remove all packing material.
2. Remove any stickers or labels from the appliance – other than the rating label.
3. Thoroughly clean the outside layer of the appliance with a lightly dampened cloth.
To clean the ‘Removable Rice Bowl’ and ‘Steamer Pot’, please use warm water and
washing-up liquid or washing soap with a non-abrasive sponge.
Note: You can also clean the removable parts of the Rice Cooker in a dishwasher.
4. Wipe the outside of the appliance with a moist cloth.

Preparing for Use
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
CAUTIONS TO NOTE BEFORE USING RICE COOKER:
Do not place or rest anything on top of the appliance or cover the air vent. This disrupts
the airflow and will aect the overall cooking result.
Keep all body parts away from the air vent to avoid being burnt by the emitted hot steam.
1. Place the appliance on a heat resistant stable, horizontal and level surface.
2. Only use this product with the correct AC voltage outlet. (For correct rated voltage,
see box and label featured at the bottom of rice cooker).
3. Press the power switch to the setting “O (Power O)” before plugging the
appliance into the mains. Do not turn on the appliance if the rice bowl is not in
the cooker, or when cooker is not being used. DISCLAIMER: The “KEEP WARM”
function operates whenever the cord is plugged in and the power switch is set to
“I (Power On)”.
4. Plug in the power cord. Please do not plug in the appliance until you are ready to
cook, otherwise the rice may be spoiled. DISCLAIMER: If the rice bowl is not in the
cooker, the cooking process will not begin.
5. If the switch button is dicult to press to your desired setting, do not try to force
the switch to move. The switch usually becomes sti when the rice bowl is not
securely positioned inside the Rice Cooker.
6. Place the lid, making sure it is securely fitted to your rice bowl whilst in operation;
keep the lid in place after serving to prevent your rice from drying out or
discolouring.
7. Keep the bottom of the rice bowl and the surface of the heater plate free of loose
grains of rice, residue and other potential items as this will encourage operating
malfunctions and decrease the appliances longevity.
CAUTION
BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE, CLEAN THE BOTTOM OF THE RICE BOWL AND THE
SURFACE OF THE HEATER PLATE, THEN TURN THE RICE BOWL CLOCKWISE AND ANTI-
CLOCKWISE SO THAT IT SITS PROPERLY ONTO THE HEATER PLATE INSIDE THE RICE COOKER.
OTHERWISE, THE RICE COOKER WILL NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY AND POTENTIALLY BECOME
DAMAGED.

Using the Appliance
Note: A scale for water level, based on the number of cups of rice used, is provided
on the side of the rice bowl for time saving when adding water direct from the tap
or large jug. Only use the supplied cup for the rice measurement, although for 2 cups
and below it is recommended to use the cup for the water as better accuracy will be
obtained.
1. Using the measuring cup provided in the box, measure and add rice to the rice
bowl.
2. Add the correct amount of water to rice ratio (a ratio guide has been provided
below). You are able to use either the supplied cup or you can fill the bowl by
using the scale marked inside the rice bowl. The amount of water can be varied
depending on the result required.
Cups of Raw Rice Water
1 cup 1 – 1 1/4 cups
2 cups 2 – 2 1/2 cups
4 cups 4 – 5 cups
5 cups 5 – 6 cups
3. Place the rice bowl into the cooker. Turn the rice bowl gently to the right and left
to ensure it is securely positioned inside the cooker, then fit the lid securely.
4. Plug in power cord. Do not plug in until ready to cook otherwise the rice may be
spoiled. If the rice bowl is not in the cooker, cooking will not begin.
5. Push the power switch to the “I (Power On)” position.
Then press the “COOK” switch on the front of the cooker. The power indicator light
will illuminate when the cooking process has started.
6. When timed cooking process has completed, the switch will automatically pop up
to the “O (Power O)” position. After the switch pops up, leave the lid on for at
least 15 minutes to steam rice further.
The “KEEP WARM” function will operate whenever the cord is plugged in and the
power switch is positioned to “I (Power On)”. Never remove the lid during the
cooking process and do not stir the rice/food item whilst the cooking process
is ongoing, or in the process of steaming otherwise the rice/food item may be
spoiled.
7. Push the power switch to the “O (Power O)” position and unplug after each use.
When removing the plug from the socket, please grip the plug instead of the cord
to prevent damages and hazards.
8. To reduce the risk of scalding and burns, do not touch the ventilating holes.
During heat up and cool down the metal expansion ring round the glass lid can make a
‘pop’ sound, this is perfectly normal

Storage
1. Unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
2. Make sure all parts of the appliance are clean and dry. Then safely store away.
Plug Safety
For your own safety read the following instructions carefully before attempting to
connect this unit to the mains.
You should only plug the appliance into a 220-240V AC 50/60Hz power supply.
Connecting it to other power sources may damage the appliance.

Should you need to replace the plug please observe the following

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of
this appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in
your plug, processed as follow:
The wire which is coloured Blue must be
connected to the terminal, which is marked with N or coloured Blue.
The wire which is coloured Brown must be connected to the terminal which is marked
L or coloured Brown. The wire which is coloured Yellow & Green must be connected to
the terminal indicated E or Symbol
CAUTION
To prevent electric shock disconnect from the mains before removing cover. No user
serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
