Bundled Cameras and Installations
The kit package comes bundled with four
Encore ¼” CCD cameras. For the
cameras complete specifications, you
can find it in User’s Manual.
The bundled CCD cameras comes with a
RJ-45 port each. This is where the video
signal goes out to feed to the DVR and
this is also used by the camera to get
power input from, the DVR. In other
words the camera share one port and
one Ethernet cable for power input and
video output like other surveillance
cameras.
An Ethernet network cable such as CAT5
or better with RJ-45 conector can be
used to connect the cameras to the DVR, The pinouts should be set to the standard
straight-thru only. The connection should be a straight DVR to camera, no hub or any other
devices in between. The cable safest length is up to 300 feet, it can go more depending on
high environmental or electrical signal interference where the cable would pass thru.
Make sure to connect all cameras (and all other peripherals) before powering up the DVR to
avoid damage to the camera’s sensitive internal circuitry as well as to the DVR system.
Powering up the DVR also powers up the cameras at the same time
Power Up the DVR
The ENXDVR-4C is ready for operation after all the peripherals and the hard disc drive
have been properly installed and connected. Make sure the power plug is the last to
connect. Connect the power connector to the power-in port and then power cord to the
electrical outlet supply. The ENXDVR-4C has no power switch, therefore as soon as you
plugged-in the adapter to the electrical outlet, the DVR will start its operation. It may take a
few seconds for the DVR to fully startup. When the newly installed hard drive is detected
the system will ask whether or not you would like to format it.
