INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
Do not place the camera where there is an extreme temperature condition. Make
sure to place the camera where the temperature is within the -4°F ~ 122°F (-20℃
to 50℃) limit only.
Do not install the camera where there is a constant and severe lighting change.
Severe light with constant lighting changes can cause the camera to work
improperly causing video problems.
Do not install the camera in a very high humid place that can cover the external
lens with mist. It can cause poor quality image or alarm if sensitivity is set to a
“very high”.
Do not disassemble the camera. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
Opening the camera housing exposes you to a high and dangerous voltage and
other hazards and damage the sensitive internal components. Refer all servicing
to a qualified technician only.
Do not touch the imaging surface of the sensor. Use only proper cleaning
solutions and materials. Touching or cleaning the sensor using improper cleaning
solutions may damage the camera sensor permanently.
The package does not come with a power adapter. Make sure that the power
supply voltage is correct before operating the unit. The voltage requirement is 12
Volts DC. Check your surveillance DVR user manual power supply system.
Do not focus the camera while in operation to any extreme light, like directly to the
sun, laser light, etc.

1. Connect one end of the TP Ethernet cable with RJ45 connectors to the camera
Video-Out port and the other end to the surveillance security DVR’s Video-In port.
Check your Surveillance DVR installation manual. Some DVR comes with a non-
RJ45 video-in port like BNC connectors, connecting ENCA-CCDP to this type
requires an adapter that converts to RJ45 port, this adapter is called BALUN that
can be purchase separately from the local electronic parts store.
2. Once all cameras and peripherals are properly connected to the surveillance
DVR, connect the the power input jack to your DVR Setup Box. If you are using
Encore’s DVR such as the ENDSS-R4D8 or the ENXDVR-4C you don’t need an
extra cabling to power this camera. Otherwise, check your DVR user manual for
the camera power supply and connection. Some requires adapter or Balun to
power the cameras.
