Entelica Meter Installation Guide
1. Scope
The Entelica Meter is a unique product that allows customers to measure energy
used per circuit. This product comes with a metallic enclosure which has six
circular magnets (see Figure 1). With the circular magnets, the enclosure can be
easily mounted (no mounting screws are required) in the existing electrical panel
or in an external NEMA 1 box outside of the electrical panel.
The Entelica Meter can only be installed by a licensed electrician. The electrician
will determine whether the product can be mounted inside or outside of the
existing electrical panel after his assessment.

2. Typical wiring
2.1Wiring Power
Wiring the Entelica Meter is very simple. The electrical wires that are provided
with the Entelica Meter are labeled: NEUTRAL (White), PHASE-1 (Black),
PHASE-2 (Red) and PHASE-3 (Blue). Besides the NEUTRAL wire, which is
connected to the Neutral bar, each of the “PHASE” wires must be connected to
separate 10A-20A circuit breakers (see Figure 3and Figure 4).
2.2 Wiring CTs
To measure energy consumed per circuit, current transformers (CTs) will be
used. The Entelica Meter comes with 42 terminals for CTs connection, of which,
six (6) terminals are located on top of the enclosure and eighteen (18) on the
side (see Figure 2). The top terminals are to be used for measuring energy of
each PHASE; and the terminals on the side are for measuring energy of each
circuit. Each CT will use 2 terminals; therefore 21 CTs can be connected to this
product.

To connect a CT to aterminal of the Energy Meter, insert the wires of the CT to
the “+”and “-“terminalswhile depressing the yellow tab of the terminal. Make
sure that the insulation is stripped from the wire and that the wire is inserted as
far in as possible. Next, insert the CT to the desired power line that is connected
to the circuit breaker to measure energy for that particular feed.

3.Installation of Device
After the assessment of the licensed electrician, he will determine whether there
is enough room in the electrical panel to install the Entelica Meter or not. If not,
he will install the unit in a NEMA 1 enclosure mounted adjacent to the electrical
panel and run all the wires through a conduit from the external enclosure to the
internal of the electrical box. The installations of the Entelica Meter can be seen
in Figures 3and 4below.
