•Makingasaltwatersolutionusingalittlecommonsaltand
placingitinacuporbowl.Dipbothoftheatmagnetic
padsinthesolution,or
•Placingacleanmetalconductor(suchasakey,
screwdriverorknife)acrossthetwomagneticpadsand
makinggoodelectricalcontact.
ThisactivatestheSensor.TheReceiver’slightwillashGreen
andthenturnOFFindicatingasuccessfulSync.
Notes: If the new synchronization is not completed within 15
seconds, the Blue light will stop and the Receiver will revert
to its synchronization before the new synchronization was
attempted, and switch itself OFF. Once the Sensor has been
activated it cannot be activated again for two (2) minutes.
DonotsynchronizetheDryBuddy2whiletheReceiveris
indicatingalowbattery(Yellowblinkinglight).Insertfresh
batteriesandsynchronize.TheSyncbuttonwillnotfunction
whenthepowerisON.You must re-synchronize theSensor
andReceiverifeithertheSensorortheReceiverischanged
orsynchronizationislostforanyreason.
To Use Multiple DryBuddy2 ReceiversallReceiversmust
besynchronizedatthesametimewiththeSensor.Withthe
Receivers’powerOFF,presstheSyncbuttononthesideofevery
Receiver.WhilealloftheReceiversareashingBlue,triggerthe
Sensor.TheprocessissimilartosynchronizingasingleReceiver,
butallReceiversaresynchronizedsimultaneously.

TheDryBuddy2oersconvenience,privacyandreliabilityto
patients(orchildren)whoneedtobealertedwhenenuresis,
bed-wettingorunintentionalurinationoccurs.Itistruly
wireless,andcanbeusedwhentheDryBuddy2 Receiveris
beingcarriedbythepatientoriswithinproximity(upto22
metersor72feet)ofthewirelessSensorbeingusedbythe
patient.
DryBuddy2 Controls
AllcontrolsoftheDryBuddy2areonthecircularsideofthe
DryBuddy2Receiver.ExceptfortheOn/Oswitches,these
switchesarebelowthesurfaceandcanbereachedand
pressedbyusingadullpointedinstrumentsuchasasmall
screwdriverorstraightenedmetalpaperclip.Thisprevents
anyaccidentalorunintentionalswitchingoftheDryBuddy2.
Toavoiddamagingtheselittleswitches,pleaseusecare
anddonotpresstheseswitcheswithforce.
Switching the DryBuddy2 ON and OFF
WhenthetwoPowerON/OFFbuttonsarepressedtogether
fortwo(2)seconds,thepowerwillbeturnedONorOFF.
WhenthepoweristurnedON,aGreenlightwillashtwice.
WhenthepoweristurnedOFF,aRedlightwillashtwice.
When the Receiver power is OFF,pressingthesmallcontrol
buttons(switches)onthesideturnstheReceiveronbriey
sothatthebuttonscanfunctionandtheReceiverissetto
thenextnewsettingforthebuttonbeingpressed.
When the Receiver power is ON,pressingthesmallMode
buttonactivatestheReceiverandindicatesthecurrent
settingoftheReceiver.(Mode,SoundandVolume).TheVol.
andSoundbuttonswillnotfunctionwhenthePowerisON.
Sync
TheDryBuddy2SensorandReceivermustbesynchronized
sothattheyworkwiththesamecode.AnewDryBuddy2
systemhasbeensynchronizedatthefactory.Tore-
synchronize,rstmakecertainthatthePowerisOFF.Then:
1.PresstheSyncbuttonintheside.ABluelightwillash,
andtheReceiverisplacedinsynchronizationmodefor
fteen(15)seconds.
2.WhiletheBluelightisashing,shortthetwomagnetson
theSensorby:

TheModeswitchallowstheusertochangethemodeor
typeofalert.
When the power is ON: PressingtheModebuttonplaysthe
currentsettingsfortheReceiver.
When the power is OFF: Each“press”oftheswitchwill
resultinthealertchanginginthefollowingorder:
1.Soundonly
2.Sound+StrongVibration
3.StrongVibrationonly
4.LowVibrationonly
EachtimethattheModeswitchispressed,thealertonly
changesinthedirection
1.→2.→3.→4.→ 1.
Volume
TheVol+and-buttonsincreaseordecreasethevolumelevel
ofthesound.TheDryBuddy2hasve(5)volumelevels.The
modemustbesettoMusicsothatthesoundcanbeheard.
When the power is OFF:Pressingthe+or-buttonchanges
thesoundsettingtothehigherorlowervolumesettingand
thisnewvolumeisheardbriey.Ifthesoundvolumeistobe
increasedordecreasedfurther,pressthe+or-buttonsagain.
Note: The volume buttons set the sound volume to what
will be heard if the DryBuddy2 is set to the Sound or
Sound+Vibration modes.
Note: The Volume buttons will not function when the power
is ON.
Sound
TheDryBuddy2oerstwoaudiblealarms–aTrumpet
FanfareandaBerlinPoliceSiren.Thesoundcanbe
changedbypressingtheSoundbutton.Themodemustbe
settoMusicsothatthesoundcanbeheard.
When the power is OFF:PressingtheSoundbutton
changesthesoundtothenextsound-eithertheTrumpet
FanfareortheBerlinPoliceSiren.
Note: The Sound button will not function when the power is ON.
Length of Alert
Ifthealarm’salertisnotturnedOFFmanually,thealarmcan
continueforaShort Alert timeoraLong Alerttime.
WithaShort Alert,thealertwillstopafterabout2minutes,and
theReceiverwillbeswitchedOFF.Thisisthedefault(factory)
settingfortheDryBuddy2.
WithaLong Alert,thealertwillkeeprepeatingitsalertcycle
tilltheReceiverismanuallyswitchedOFForthebatteriesare
drained.
Tosetthelengthofthealert,rstpresstheSyncbutton.
WhiletheBluesynclightisashingfor15seconds:
1.ForaShort Alert,presstheVol.–button.Ayellowlight
willashonce.
2.ForaLong Alert,presstheVol.+button.Ayellowlight
willashtwice.
TheReceiverautomaticallyturnsitselfOFFaftertheYellow
lightashes.TheReceivermustnowbeswitchedONagainin
ordertocontinueusingtheDryBuddy2.
When to Synchronize
EveryDryBuddy2Sensorhasitsownuniquecodetransmitted
totheReceiver.ThisallowsmanyDryBuddy2systemstobein
closeproximitywithoutinterferingwithoneanother.IftheSensor
orReceiverischangedorsynchronizationlostforanyreason,the
SensorandReceivermustbesynchronizedagain.
DonotsynchronizetheDryBuddy2 whiletheReceiveris
indicatingalowbattery(Yellowblinkinglight).Insertfresh
batteriesandsynchronize.
