設置上のご注意

本製品の通風口を塞がないでください。
通風口を塞ぐと内部に熱がこもり、火災になるおそれがあります。
布などで覆ったり、風通しの悪い場所に設置しないでください。
また、マニュアルで指示された設置スペースを確保してください。

A
アルコール、シンナーなどの揮発性物質のある場所や火気のある場所では使用しないでください。
感電・火災のおそれがあります。
煙が出たり、変なにおいや音がするなど異常状態のまま使用しないでください。

電源に関するご注意
A
漏電事故防止のため、電源コードにアース線が付いている製品は、接地接続を行ってください。
アース線（接地線）を取り付けない状態で使用すると、感電 ･ 火災のおそれがあります。電源コー
ドのアースを以下のいずれかに取り付けてください。
• 電源コンセントのアース端子
• 銅片などを 65cm 以上地中に埋めた物
• 接地工事（D 種）を行っている接地端子
アース線の取り付け / 取り外しは、電源プラグをコンセントから抜いた状態で行ってくださ
い。ご使用になる電源コンセントのアースを確認してください。アースが取れないときは、
販売店に相談してください。
AC100V 以外の電源は使用しないでください。
感電・火災のおそれがあります。
電源プラグは、ホコリなどの異物が付着した状態で使用しないでください。
感電・火災のおそれがあります。
付属の電源コード以外は使用しないでください。また、付属の電源コードを他の機器に使用
しないでください。
感電・火災のおそれがあります。
破損した電源コードを使用しないでください。

電源コードが破損したときは、エプソンの修理窓口に相談してください。

電源プラグをコンセントから抜くときは、コードを引っ張らずに、電源プラグを持って抜い
てください。
コードの損傷やプラグの変形による感電・火災のおそれがあります。

長期間ご使用にならないときは、安全のため電源プラグをコンセントから抜いてください。
消耗品に関するご注意

インクカートリッジは強く振らないでください。
強く振ったり振り回したりすると、カートリッジからインクが漏れるおそれがあります。
インクカートリッジやメンテナンスボックスを分解しないでください。
分解するとインクが目に入ったり皮膚に付着するおそれがあります。
インクが皮膚に付着したときや目や口に入ったときは、以下の処置をしてください。
• 皮膚に付着したときは、すぐに水や石けんで洗い流してください。
• 目に入ったときは、すぐに水で洗い流してください。そのまま放置すると目の充血や軽い
炎症を起こすおそれがあります。異常があるときは、速やかに医師に相談してください。
• 口に入ったときは、速やかに医師に相談してください。
インクカートリッジ、メンテナンスボックスは、子どもの手の届かない場所に保管してくだ
さい。
用紙に関するご注意

印刷用紙の端を手でこすらないでください。
用紙の側面は薄く鋭利なため、けがをするおそれがあります。
プリントスタッカーに関するご注意

プリントスタッカーの下トレーの開閉の際は、トレーとスタッカー本体との接合部（継ぎ目）
に手を近付けないでください。
指や手を挟んで、けがをするおそれがあります。

Important Safety Instructions
Read all of these instructions before setting up your printer. Also be sure to follow all warnings and
instructions marked on the printer.
Notes on Installing
!Warning
Do not obstruct the vents on the product.
If the vents are obstructed, the internal temperature could rise and cause a re.
Do not cover the printer with a cloth or install it in a location with poor ventilation.
Make sure you secure sucient space for the installation as described in the manual.

!Caution
Do not install or store the printer or the Production Stacker in an unstable location or a location
subject to vibrations from other equipment.
The printer or the Production Stacker could fall or tip over and cause an injury.
Do not install the printer or the Production Stacker in locations subject to oily smoke and dust,
or in locations subject to humidity or where it could easily get wet.
An electric shock or re could occur.
Do not tilt the printer or the Production Stacker more than 10 degrees forward, back, left, or
right while moving it.
Failure to observe this precaution could result in the printer or the Production Stacker falling over,
causing accidents.
Because the printer or the Production Stacker is heavy, it should not be carried by one person.
At least four people are needed to unpack or carry the printer. At least tow people are needed to unpack or carry
the Production Stacker. See the following for details on the weight of the printer or the Production Stacker.

Before assembling the printer or the Production Stacker, make sure you clear away the
packaging sheets, packing materials, and supplied items from the installation area.
If you slip or trip on these items, it could cause an injury.
Make sure you use the correct posture when lifting the printer or the Production Stacker.
Lifting using the wrong posture could cause an injury.
When lifting the printer or the Production Stacker, make sure you lift at the locations indicated in the manual.
If you lift holding other parts, the printer or the Production Stacker may fall, catching your ngers
and causing an injury. See the following for details on lifting the product.

When placing the printer or the Production Stacker on a stand with casters (wheels), make sure
you secure the casters before you perform the work so that they do not move.
If the Product moves while you are performing the work, it could cause an injury.

Do not try to move the product while the casters (wheels) and stoppers (printer only) are secured.
Failure to observe this precaution could result in the printer or the Production Stacker falling over,
causing accidents.
When moving the printer or the Production Stacker, avoid locations with steps or uneven ooring.
Failure to observe this precaution could result in the printer or the Production Stacker falling over,
causing accidents.
Notes on Handling

Do not use the printer in locations with volatile substances such as alcohol or thinner, or near
naked ames.

Do not use the printer if it is giving o smoke or if you notice any abnormal odors or noises.

If any abnormalities occur, turn o the power and unplug the power cable immediately, and then
contact your dealer or Epson Support.
Never try to repair the printer yourself as this is extremely dangerous.
Do not use the printer in an environment where ammable gas or explosive gas may exist. Do

Only route the cables as indicated in the manual.

If the LCD for the control panel is damaged, be careful of any leaking liquid crystal.

❏If any liquid gets in your eyes, ush them with clean water for at least 15 minutes, and consult
a physician immediately.
❏If ink enters your mouth, consult a physician immediately.
If any foreign objects or liquid such as water enters the printer, stop using it immediately.
An electric shock or re could occur.
Turn off the power and unplug the power cable immediately, and then contact your dealer or
Epson Support.

Do not sit on the product or place any heavy objects on the product.
Be careful with small children. The printer could fall or tip over and cause an injury.
When transporting or storing the product, be sure that it is level: do not tilt it at an angle or
place it upside down.
Ink could leak.
Store the cutter in a location out of the reach of children.
The cutter's blade could cause an injury. Pay careful attention when replacing the cutter.
When connecting cables or optional accessories, make sure they are installed in the correct
direction and that you follow the procedures exactly.
A re or an injury could occur.
Connect these items correctly by following the instructions in the manual.
When moving the product, make sure it is turned o, the power cable is unplugged from the
outlet, and all connecting cables have been removed.
If cables are damaged, an electric shock or re could occur.
Be sure that your hands or hair do not get caught in the roll paper unit while it is operating.
Failure to observe this precaution could result in injury.
Except when moving the printer, make sure the two casters (wheels) at the front and the two
stoppers at the rear are secured.
If they are not secured, an accident could occur.
Do not put your hands inside the printer through the eject slot.
They could get caught in the product’s moving parts, causing injury.
Notes on the Power Supply

To prevent ground leak accidents, connect to a grounded (earthed) outlet.
Connecting to anything other than a grounded outlet could result in electric shock or re.
Use only the type of power source indicated on the printer's label.
An electric shock or re could occur.
Do not use the plug if any foreign objects such as dust have adhered to the plug.

Do not use any other power cables except for the cable supplied with the printer. Also, do not
use the power cable supplied with the printer for any other devices.

Do not connect too many cables to the power outlet for the power cable.
The temperature could rise and cause a re.
Connect the power cable directly to an outlet for domestic use.
Do not insert or unplug the plug with wet hands.

Make sure the blades on the plug are inserted completely into the power outlet.

Unplug the plug regularly and clean between the blades and around the base of the blades.
If the plug is plugged in for an extended period of time, dust collects around the base of the blades

When unplugging the plug, grip the plug itself; do not pull the power cable.

If you are not going to use the printer for an extended period, unplug the printer for safety

When opening and closing the bottom tray of the print stacker, keep your hands away
