Epson EpsonTalk LP User manual

How to install EpsonTalk LP in 5 EASY steps:
Check list : (you need these things)
EPL-8000 Actionlaser-1000 or Actionlaser-1500
Minimum 2 meg ram on above printer
EpsonTalk board
Epson Postscript ID card
Local talk cable (8 pin to 8 pin mini din)
Macintosh, Phillips screwdriver
Verify the printer and the Mac are off.
1) Insert EpsonTalk board into the printer.
(just plugs into optional i/f slot)
2) Insert the Epson Postscript card into the a slot
(need to push in firmly)
3) Plug Localtalk cable into Printer port on Mac
and Appleltalk port (on left) on printer.
4) Turn on printer and set channel to CH O PS :
Enter Selectype Level 2. Arrow down to
Emulation, (mode assign on EPL-8000)
arrow over once, arrow down to “CH O” (for option)
arrow over once, arrow down to PS, arrow right to set.
(on epl-8000 also perform P-CONFIG SAVE)
5) Open Chooser under Apple menu (Upper
left of Mac screen) and enable Appletalk. Select
Apple LaserWriter. The Epson laserprinter will appear
in the Chooser window. Select it and your done.
