1. Setting up
TheKorn-Quetscheshouldhaveapermanentplaceinyourkitchen.
WiththeenclosedscrewclampyoufixtheKorn-Quetschefirmlytoatableor
sideboard(max.50mmthick,40mmprotrudingdepth).Forasecuresetup,the
fourrubberfeetshouldcontactthetableboard.Shiftthescrewclampintothe
screwholeof thebottomplateandtightenfirmly.
2. Operation
Running in: WhenusingtheGrain-Flakerforthefirsttime,pleasediscardthe
first100gof flakes.
Modelwithwoodentop:Beforeusage,pleasemakesurethatthefunnelcontacts
thesupports.Forflakingturnthehandleexclusivelyclockwise.Avoidtoturnit
anti-clockwiseasthegrainscouldpenetrateupwardsandmaycausedamageto
thetopsof thefunnel(aluminium)orliftit(wood).
Thetextureof theflakes,resp.thegap,canbevariedbyslightadjustmentsof the
twowingorknurlednuts.Pleaseturntheseonlyinlittlebits(tighten:right-turn,
loosen:left-turn)andatthesametime.Thefactorysetting(stateof delivery)
allowsyoutoprocessallitemsthatarementionedundern°3.Flour-fineflakes
arereceivedbyflakingseveraltimes.
Factory setting:Loosenthewingnuts/knurlednutsuntiltheyarenolonger
undertension.Tightenthenuts(rightturn)untiltheyareundertensionandthe
secondrollerstartstoturn.Thenfillinthegrains,turnthehandleandeventually
readjustthenutsequally.
Removalof thewoodentop:Loosenthetwowing/knurlednutsatthesametime,
thenremovethetop.Whenputtingitbackagain,makesurethatitcontactsthe
supports,thentightenthetwonutsslightlyuntiltheyareundertension(referto
factorysetting).
3. Use
WiththeEschenfelderKorn-Quetscheyoucanflakeanygrains,exceptcorn,even
moistgrainslikef.e.wheatsprouts(pleasemindtoletthesetrickleoneafterthe
other).Duetothesteelrollers,youcanflakeoilyseedslikelinseed,sunflower
seeds,pumpkinseedsetc.Youmayflakeevenpoppyseedsasaningredientfor
yourmüsli,theresultthoughisnotcomparablewiththeonefromaspecialpoppy
seedmill.Alsospiceslikeanis,fennel,cumin,cinnamon,mustardseeds,
cardamon,corianderetc.andevenchoppednuts,driedherbs,lentilsandlittle
piecesof driedfruits,f.e.raisinsmixedwithgrains,canbeflaked.
4. Cleaning and treatment
Never puttheKorn-Quetscheintothedish-washer!
Woodenparts:Maycleanedwithamoisttowel.Do not use any detergent!
Flakingmechanism:Itrequiresaregularcleaning.Especiallyafterhavingflaked
oilyseeds),spicesorexclusevilyoats(fatty).Itisoftensufficienttojustflake
somericedirectlyafterwards-itcarriesanyleftoversoff therollers.Theknurling
of therollersmuststayclean,asitguaranteesthetakeoutof thegrains.Alsothe
lateralgapbetweenrollerandlaceistobecleanedregularly.Withabristlebrush
oratoothbrushyoucaneasilybrushoff theleftoverswhileturningtherollers.
Don’tbendthelacesthattouchtherollerswhilecleaning.
Nosoaking of the wooden parts. No arbitrary dismantling of the Flaker!
Savety note:Don‘t leave children, under no circumstances, without
supervision. Donotusetheflakerwithoutthetop,neverreachintothefunnel
betweentherollers.Carryleftovergrainswithabristlebrushtowardsthegap.
5. Maintenance
Thewoodenrunnings(notchinthesupportsthattaketherollpin)havetobetreated
everyonceinawhile,especiallywhentheturningbecomesrough-running.Forthat
purposeputsomevaselineontherollpinandworkitinbyturningtherollers.
Please don’t use any other grease.
Thesolidbeechwoodistreatedwithorganiclinseedoilandmayberetreated.
6. Warranty
TheKorn-Quetschecomeswitha2yearwarrantyfromdateof purchase(proof of
purchase)ontheconditionthatithasbeenusedaccordingly.Thewarrantycovers
defectsthatcanbetracedasmaterial- ormannufacturingdefects.Explicitlynot
coveredbythewarrantyis:Anydamagecausedbynaturalabrasion,improperly
treatmentorimpacts(likef.e.thedismantlingof theflakingmechanism);damage
thatiscausedbyforeignbodiesinthegrainsresp.byimpropergrains:minor
damagesthatreducetheusabilityorvalueof thedeviceinsignificant.Unlesslegally
required,wereservetherightof decisionforrepairorreplacement.Thedealer's
obligationstothecustomerarenotaffectedbythiswarranty.

nutritionandinconsiderationof ecologicalprinciples.

1.Mise en place
Il est important que votre floconneuse soit toujours prête à l’emploi, solidemment
amarréeaveclapattedefixationfournie,aubordd’unetable,fenêtre,buffetetc.(max.
50mmd’épaisseur).Les4piedsdecaoutchoucdoiventadhéreràlasurface.Placezla
pattedefixationdansletrouprévupourcetemploietresserrezbienfort.
2. Manutention
Première mise en service:Veuillez,s'ilvousplaît,jeterlespremiers100gde
flocons.
Modèleentonnoirenbois:Avantdeleremplir,assurezvousquel‘entonnoirsoitbien
enplacesurlessupports.
Tournezlamanivelleuniquementdanslesensdesaiguillesd´unemontre.Evitezde
tournerensensinverse,commelesgrainspourraientsouleveretsurtout
endommagerl’entonnoir(aluminium)oulelever(bois).Enajustantlesécrousà
papillonsoumoletéssurlecôté,vousréglezl’épaisseurdesflocons,resp.le
passage.Tournezlesdeuxécrousseulementtrèspeu(ouvriràgauche,serrerà
droite)ettoujoursenmêmetemps.Avecleréglageusine(étatdelivraison)vous
pouvezécrasertouslesalimentsmentionnéssousn°3.Vousobtenezdelafarine
enpassantlesfloconsplusieursfois.
Réglage usine: Desserrez(tourneràgauche)lesécrousàoreilles/moletésjusqu'à
cequ'iln'yaitplusdetension..Alors,serrez(tourneràdroite)lesécrousjusqu'àce
qu'ilssoientsoustensionetladeuxièmerouleaucommenceàtourner.Remplirdes
grainesdansl‘entonnoir,actionnerlamanivelleetajuster,sinécessaire,
uniformémentlesécrous.
Retirerl‘entonnoirenbois:Ouvrezlesdeuxécrous(tourneràgauche)jusqu'àce
qu'ilssoientsanstensionetretirerl‘entonnoir.Enleremettant,assurez-vousqu‘il
soitbienenplace,puisserrezlesécrousjusqu'àcequ'ilssoientsoustension(voir
réglageusine).
3. Utilisation
Aveclafloconneused’Eschenfeldervouspouvezfairedesfloconsavectoutesles
céréales-sauf lemaïs-mêmesivousvenezdelesrinceretqu’ellessontencore
humides(tomberlescommedesgouttesl‘unaprèsl‘autre),aussiquedesflocons
aveclesgrainesoléagineusescommelesésame,lelin,letournesoletc.Vouspouvez
mêmeécraserlepavotpourvotremüsli,maislerésultatn'estpascomparableà
celuid*unemoulindepavot.Descondimentstelsl’anis,lefenouil,lamoutarde,le
cumin,lacannelleetbiend’autresdéploierontunarômeplusintensesivousles
écrasezàlafloconneuse.
4. Nettoyage et soins
Ne lavez jamaislafloconneusesouslerobinetetencoremoinsdanslelave-
vaisselle.
Lespartiesenbois:Vouspouvezlesessuyeravecunchiffonàpeinehumide,mais
sans aucun détergent!
Mécanisme:Ilestnécessairedelenettoyerrégulièrement.Pourenleverlesrestes
desgrainesoléagineuses(surtoutdepavot)oud‘avoine(gras),vouspouvezaussitôt
fairedesfloconsavecunecuillèrederiz.Lerizenlevelerésidudesrouleaux.Le
moletagedoitrestertoujorspropre,commeilgarantiquelesgrainssoient
emmenés.Aussilafentelateralentrerouleauetchuteestdenettoyer
regulièrement.Vouspouvezutiliserunebrosseàpoilsouunebrosseàdentspour
brossersimplementlesrésiduspendantvoustournezlesrouleaux.
Ennettoyant,prenezbiengardeànepasdéformerlalanguettelaterale.Netremper
lespartiesenboisdansl‘eau.Ne démontez jamais la floconneuse!

biologique,etvouspouvez,sivousenavezenvie,lesenenduireànouveau.

faisantfoi.Lagarantiecomprendlesdéfautsdematériauxoudefabrication.Nous
n’allouonspasdegarantiepourlesdommagesdûsàl’usure,pourlesfautesde
