This device may not be suitable for everyone. Ensure to read all instructions and warnings in
this user guide prior to first use. Retain this user guide for future reference.
DO NOT use this device if you fall under any one of the following conditions:
•Never use this device if you have dark skin, rarely or never sunburn. Use of the device
leads to high risk of developing skin reactions (for example, hyperpigmentation,
strong redness, burns).
•You are pregnant or breast feeding.
•You have any active implants (for example, pacemaker, neurostimulator, insulin
pump).
•Your skin is currently being treated with or has recently been treated in the past week
with alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), topical isotretinoin, or
azelaic acid.
•You have taken any form of Isotretinoin (for example, Accutane, Roaccutane) in the
last six months. This treatment can make skin more susceptible to tears, wounds,
and irritations.
•You are taking photosensitising agents or medications. Check the package insert of
your medicine and never use the device if it is stated that the medicine may cause
photoallergic reactions, phototoxic reactions, or if you must avoid sunlight.
•You take anticoagulation medications, including heavy use of aspirin, in a manner
which does not allow for a minimum 1-week washout period prior to each treatment.
•You have received radiation therapy or chemotherapy within the past 3 months.
•You are on painkillers which reduce the skin's sensitivity to heat.
•You take immunosuppressive medications.
•You have had surgery in the areas to be treated in the last 3 weeks.
•You have diabetes or other systemic or metabolic diseases.
•You have congestive heart disease.
•You have a disease related to photosensitivity (for example, polymorphic light
eruption (PMLE), solar urticaria, porphyria).
•You have a history of collagen disorder, including a history of keloid scar formation or
a history of poor wound healing.
•You have photosensitive epilepsy.
•Your skin is sensitive to light and easily develops a rash or an allergic reaction.
•You have a skin disease (for example, active skin cancer), a history of skin cancer or
any other localised cancer in the areas to be treated.
SAFETY & WARNINGS

•You have a history of vascular disorder (for example, the presence of varicose veins,
vascular ectasia) in the areas to be treated.
•You have any bleeding disorder.
•You have a history of immunosuppressive disease (for example, HIV, AIDS).
•It is not recommended for use for males on the face, neck, beard growing areas, or
the whole genital region.
Other warnings
•This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the device by a person responsible for their safety.
•Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
•The device is not intended for children under the age of 15 years. Teenagers aged
between 15 and 18 years can use the device with the consent and/or assistance of a
parent/guardian.
•Always check the device before use. If the device or AC adapter is damaged, stop use
immediately and contact help.Kogan.com for assistance.
•If the UV filters on the treatment window of the magnetic filter attachments are
damaged, stop use immediately and contact help.Kogan.com for assistance.
•If the device is broken, do not touch any inner components to avoid risk of electric
shock.
•Keep the device and AC adapter dry at all times.
•Do not use this device in wet environments (for example, near a filled bath, a running
shower, or a filled swimming pool).
•Do not attempt to modify or cut off any part of the AC adapter or cord.
•Do not use on areas where you use long-lasting deodorants. This can result in
adverse skin reactions.
•Do not use over or near anywhere artificial (for example, silicone implants,
subcutaneous injection ports, insulin dispensers, piercings).
•Do not use this device over tattooed areas.
•Do not use anything (for example, pens, pencils) to mark the areas to be treated. This
may cause burns on your skin when the device is used.
Note:
This list is not exhaustive. If unsure whether you can use the device, it is highly
recommended to consult a doctor.

•Hair removal by intense pulse light (IPL) sources can cause increased hair growth in
some individuals. Based upon currently available data, the highest risk groups for this
response are females of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and South Asian heritage
treated on the face and neck.
•The AC adapter, treatment window and filters can become very hot after usage. Do
not touch the adapter, treatment window and filters without having these cool down.
•If you have a darker coloured skin, be careful with treating a darker area immediately
after a lighter area. The skin tone sensor may not immediately block the treatment on
the darker body area.
Note:
If you notice a change in skin tone between treatments (for example, due to tanning),
we recommend you perform a skin test and to wait 30 minutes before your next
treatment.
