SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
AIR COMPRESSOR HAZARDS
• It is normal to have some sparks within the motor and pressure switch.
• Do not let the compressor come into contact with flammable vapors, as the sparks from
the motor and pressure switch may ignite the flammables and cause an explosion.
Always operate the compressor in a well-ventilated place free of flammable vapors.
• Do not restrict any of the air compressors ventilation openings; as this will cause
overheating and cause potential fires.
• Do not allow the compressor to operate unattended. Unattended operation of this product
could result in accidents.
• Drain the tank daily after operation to prevent rusting and thinning of the steel tank.
• Never modify or repair the air tank. Doing so will weaken the structural integrity of the
air tank and lead to danger.
• The tank is designed to withstand specific operating pressures. Therefore, do not modify
or alter the unloader valve or any other components of the tank.
• Excessive vibrations can weaken the air tank and cause rupture or explosion.
• When operating the air compressor, always wear safety glasses with side shields.
• Always turn the compressor off and bleed the pressure from the air hose and tank before
beginning maintenance, or attaching tools or accessories.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• Your air compressor is powered by electricity, therefore, do not operate the compressor
outdoors when it is raining or in wet conditions.
• Any electrical repairs should be performed by an authorized service center professional.
Repairs attempted by unqualified personnel can result in serious injury or death by
electrocution.
• Always make sure the air compressor is properly grounded.
VENTILATION
• Do not inhale the air from the air tank as this air may contain carbon monoxide, toxic
vapors, or solid particles from the tank. These contaminants can cause serious injury or
death.
• Always work in an area with good ventilation. Sprayed materials such as paint, paint
solvents, paint remover, insecticides, weed killers, may contain harmful vapors and
poisons.
• Always wear proper safety masks and wear safety equipment when working with sprayed
chemicals and particles.
RISK FROM INJURY
• Do not touch any exposed metal parts on the compressor, as it remains hot for several
minutes after operation.
• Never operate the compressor with the guards or covers removed. Moving parts such as
a pulley or flywheel can cause serious injury if they come into contact with you or your
clothing.
