Important Safety Instructions
READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
Read this manual thoroughly before first use, even if you are familiar with this
type of product. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to. Make sure you understand all
instructions and warnings. Keep the manual in a safe place for future reference,
along with any warranty information, your purchase receipt and the original
packaging. Always follow basic safety precautions and accident prevention
measures when using an electrical appliance, including the following:
• Voltage: Ensure your outlet voltage and circuit frequency correspond to the
voltage stated on the appliance rating label. If this is not the case, do not use.
• Water: To protect against fire and electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug
or fan in water or other liquid, or expose the electrical connections to water.
Ensure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the fan. Do
not use the fan outdoors or on wet surfaces. Protect it from liquid spills.
• Damage: Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its authorised service
centres or appropriately qualified personnel in order to avoid any hazards.
WARNING! Do not pick up or operate the fan if the supply cord, plug or hous-
ing is damaged, or after it malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in
any manner. If damaged, contact our after sales support centre for advice.
Do not open or try to repair the fan yourself: risk of electric shock!
• Protect the power cord:
• Do not operate the fan with the cord coiled up; always fully unwind.
• Do not twist or kink the cord or let it touch heated surfaces.
• Do not put any stress on the cord where it connects to the product.
• Never carry the fan by the cord.
• Arrange the cord away from any traffic area so no one will trip over it.
• Do not run the cord under carpeting or cover it with rugs or runners.
• WARNING! No extension cord, no timer: Do not use this fan with an
extension cord, plug adaptor, external timer or separate speed control device.
• Connection: To insert the plug, grip it firmly and guide it into the outlet. Do not
use more than one electrical appliance at the same time on the same outlet.
• Disconnection: Do not use the power button as the sole means for discon-
necting power. Always unplug the fan from the power outlet when it is not in
use and before cleaning, servicing, moving or storing the appliance. Grasp the
plug and remove it from the outlet, do not pull the cord when disconnecting.
• Guard removal: Ensure the fan is disconnected from the power supply before
removing a front or rear guard (grille).
• Attachments: The use of accessory attachments not recommended in this
manual may cause injury or hazards.

Getting Started (Cont.)
Base assembly
1. Set the base on a table or workbench.
2. Unscrew the metal washer and base locking lever and remove it from the
bottom of the stand post.
3. Insert the stand post into the base, put the metal washer onto the black
weight.
4. Insert the threaded end of the locking lever into the hole of the washer and
through the base into the bottom of the stand post. Turn the locking lever
clockwise to secure and tighten the base to the fan body.
Fan head assembly
1. Remove and discard the plastic sleeve on the motor shaft. Position the back
grille against the front of the motor housing through the motor shaft. Ensure
that the handle at the back of grille is facing up and that all guiding pegs on
the motor housing are lined up with cut-outs on the back grille.
2. Secure the back grille into place with the nut. Fasten the nut firmly onto the
motor housing by tightening it in a clockwise direction.
3. Install the fan blade onto the motor shaft with the cut-outs fitted.
4. Place the blade cap on the motor shaft after the blade.
5. Fasten the parts into place by tightening the blade cap in anticlockwise
direction.
6. Check the correct rotation of the blade.
7. Attach the front grille to back grille and fasten the grilles with the clamping
ring. The clamping ring has two grooves, one for the rear and one for the
front grille. Hold the front grille in position and guide the ring around the rear
grille, clipping the rear grille into the appropriate set of grooves in the ring.
When the grilles are properly positioned in their respective grooves, tighten
the screw securely using a screwdriver.
8. Your new desk fan is now ready for use.
Fan head tilt adjustment
The fan head may be tilted slightly upwards or downwards
if required. To adjust the tilt angle, grip the motor housing
and carefully tilt the fan head slightly up or down.
CAUTION: Do not tilt the fan head more than it is
intended to go, which could cause damage.

Instructions
Control panel or remote control operation
For your convenience, the fan can be operated from the control panel at the
front of the unit, or with the remote control. The buttons on the control panel
operate the same functions as the remote control, except for setting the
timer from the control panel, which is slightly different and explained in the
instructions below.
When using the remote control, point it towards the LED display at the front
of the fan and ensure that nothing is obstructing the path of the signal.
Handle the remote control carefully; do not drop or throw it.
Using the fan
• Place the fully assembled pedestal fan on a dry, level and stable surface,
taking into consideration all relevant safety advice from the previous pages.
• Insert the plug into an appropriate electrical socket and switch on power at
the outlet. The fan will enter standby mode.
• Press the POWER button to power on. The fan will start operation in default
mode (medium speed). Press the button again to set the fan to standby.
• Press the SPEED button to select the fan speed from low, medium and high.
• Press the SWING button to start oscillation for widespread air distribution.
Press the button once more to stop oscillation.

the off-time in 1 hour increments up to a maximum of 18 hours.
• To set the timer on the control panel, press the SWING button and hold it
for 3 seconds until the timer indicator on the display screen starts flashing.
Then set the off-time as described above. The selected timer setting will

Cleaning and maintenance
• Dusting: Clean your fan periodically by lightly running a vacuum cleaner
nozzle (soft brush) over the front and rear guards to remove any dust or dirt
that may have accumulated inside or on the unit. Alternatively, use a soft, dry
cloth for dusting.
• Stubborn stains: Use a slightly damp, soapy cloth for stubborn stains but
be sure the cloth is not too wet. Use caution around the motor housing area.
Do not allow the motor or other electrical components to be exposed to
water.
• End of season cleaning: When you have finished using the fan at the end
of the season, wipe off any dust to maintain it in good working order for the
next season. Disassemble the front grille following the an head assembly
instructions in reverse order. Carefully clean the blade and guards using
a mild detergent and a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly before reassembly or
storage.
• Storage: When storing your fan in the off season, make sure to disassemble
and clean the fan before storing. Follow the assembly instructions in reverse
order. It is important to keep the fan in a safe, dry location, protected from
dust. We recommend using the original carton for storage. If you are storing
the appliance fully assembled, place a large plastic bag or piece of material
over the top of the cleaned appliance for dust protection.
• Service/repair: The appliance requires no maintenance and contains no
user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to take the motor housing apart.
Do not try to repair or modify the appliance. Do not operate the fan if its
power cord or plug is damaged, or when it is working abnormally. In case of
damage or malfunction, or if the cord is damaged, have the unit repaired by
trained personnel only, or contact the after sales support centre for advice on
repair or replacement. Before phoning for a service, please ensure that your
fan is properly assembled and connected to your power supply.
WARNING!
• Before cleaning, maintenance or moving the fan, and before removing a
front or rear guard, switch off the fan and unplug it from the wall outlet.
• Do not immerse the fan in water or other liquids. Do not spray it with
liquids. Do not allow water to drip on or into the fan motor housing.
• Never use petrol, solvents, harsh detergents, or abrasive or alkaline
cleaners on the fan.
