Rotating grille
The rotating grille at the front of the box fan maximises the cooling efficiency
and moves air around the room.
• Press the louvre rotation switch (LOUVER) on the
front panel to the MOVE position for the grille to
start rotating.
• When you want the airflow in one direction only,
wait until the fan is blowing in the desired direction
before stopping the grille movement.
Three-speed operation
The box fan is designed to work in three different speed modes, ranging from
a gentle breeze (1) to full speed (3).
• To start/stop the fan and select a rotating speed,
turn the speed control (pictured right) clockwise or
anticlockwise:
• Speed 0 - Stop/Off
• Speed 1 - Low Speed
• Speed 2 - Medium Speed
• Speed 3 - High Speed
NOTE: When the timer is set to OFF, the fan will not
operate. To use the fan without the timer, you
must turn the timer knob to ON before adjusting the rotating speed.
Timer
The fan has a timer you can use to set the amount of time (up to 60 minutes)
after which the fan will switch off automatically.
• To operate the timer, turn the timer knob clockwise
to the desired position.
• After the set time, when the timer reaches the OFF
position, the fan switches off. To operate the fan
again at this stage, reset the timer to the desired
length of time you want it to run for, or use the fan
without the timer (see the note below).
NOTE: To use the fan without the timer, turn the timer knob to ON, then
turn the speed control to select the desired fan speed and finally
select MOVE or STOP for the rotating grille.

Care and Maintenance
Cleaning the fan
Press the louvre rotation switch (LOUVER) on the front panel to the STOP
position. Turn the speed control to the 0 position and unplug the fan.
Use only a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the fan and dry well. Ensure the
cloth is not too wet and no moisture enters the housing. Alternatively, use a
vacuum cleaner soft brush attachment to remove dust from around the air
intake and air outlet grilles. Do NOT remove a safety grille for cleaning.
Storage
At the end of the season, clean the fan as described above, then store the ap-
pliance in a cool and dry place, out of reach of children. We recommend storing
the appliance in its original carton to protect it from dust. Alternatively, place a
plastic bag or piece of material over the appliance for dust protection.
Service and repair
The appliance requires little maintenance and contains no user-serviceable
parts inside. Do not attempt to take it apart, repair or modify it. It is not
designed to be dismantled without special tools. Do not operate the fan if its
power cord or plug is damaged, or when it is working abnormally. In case of
damage or malfunction, or if the cord is damaged, have the unit repaired by
trained personnel only, or contact our after sales support centre for advice.
WARNING!
• Before cleaning, maintenance or moving the fan, switch off the fan and
unplug it from the wall outlet.
• Do not immerse the fan in water or other liquids. Do not spray it with
liquids. Do not allow water to drip on or into the fan motor housing.
• Never use petrol, solvents, harsh detergents, or abrasive or alkaline
cleaners on the fan.
