Opening the chair

Holding the chair by the
handle unclip the patient belt
to release the seat from
its frame.
Lower the seat to its horizontal
position and raise the handle to
locking position #1 until it locks
into place.

Depress paddle to release
tracks. Pull tracks towards you
until the track frame locks into
place.

Transferring the passenger

Passenger can now be
transferred to the seat of the
chair. Once seated the safety
belt can now be fastened.

For stairway descent roll the
chair to top of staircase and
extend handle to locking
position #2.

For ascent extend handle to
locking position #2 and move
chair backwards until tracks
meet bottom stair.

For stairway descent, tilt chair
back for tracks to meet the
oor and press the down arrow
on control panel (Fig. 2).

To activate the battery, insert
the key provided into battery
lock and turn 90o.

Once the battery is activated the
power can now be turned on by
depressing the power button.
(Fig. 1).

Once the battery is activated the

For stairway ascent, tilt chair back
for tracks to meet the bottom two
stair nosings and press the up arrow
on control panel (Fig. 3).

keeping the chair straight, allow
tracks to meet their glide angle.

Once nal destination has been
reached, safety belt can be
released and passenger can
vacate the chair.
Switch off power and close tracks
by lifting the red locking release
bar and pushing tracks towards
the chair until they lock into place.

If storing the chair on its
wall bracket x bracket via
screws provided to the above
dimensions.

Once wall bracket has been
xed in place the chair can be
hung by the horizontal strut
behind the seat of the chair.

Insert the key supplied and turn 180o to lock battery
in to place. Press the switch below the battery to
activate battery power.

Always use the supplied safety belts
to secure the patient on the chair.
An unsecured passenger could fall of
the chair resulting in injury or damage.
Where possible try to utilise the help
of other personnel. Always maintain
control of the chair, while directing
direct all helpers.
Servicing must only be carried out by
Evac+Chair Power-800 engineers.
Improper maintenance can cause damage
to the chair and possible injury to
passengers.
Lubricating the track system can result
in injury to the patient and/or operators.
Never lubricate the tracks or belts.
Attaching improper items to the chair
can cause injury. Use only Evac+Chair
Power-800 approved items on the chair.
We strongly advise that only cefticated
trained personnel operate the Evac+Chair
Power-800. Untrained personnel may
cause injury or damage.
The Evac+Chair Power-800 is to be used
only for the purpose described in this
manual. Improper use of the chair can
cause injury or damage.
Use only the supplied Evac+Chair
Power-800 battery with the chair, and
charge only with the supplied Evac+Chair
Power-800 approved battery charger*.
The Evac+Chair Power-800 should only
be operated as detailed in this manual.
Improper operation can cause injury or
damage.
Do not leave passenger unattended.
Leaving passenger unattended could
cause injury or damage.
Use only Evac+Chair Power-800 parts
and Evac+Chair Power-800 approved
service on the chair. Improper parts
may cause injury or damage.
The
Evac+Chair Power-800
has been
designed for the purpose detailed in
this user manual. Modifying the chair
may cause injury and damage.
RECOMMENDATION
We recommend that training with the
Safety Chair occurs regularly, ideally
during re drills. For plastic/synthetic
stair nosings, heavier passengers or steep
angled stairs the descent speed may
increase so two person operation is
advised. For guidelines or training,
contact your dealer. We accept no liability
for damage to stairs.
* Only charge chair battery as per manufacturers instructions
