Product introduction
IP99 series IP products provides built-in, easy-to-use, and browser-based management
software that can manage, view, record multiples IP99 cameras and video servers. No
additional software required. It supports flexible layout of live/playback views, easy-to-
use on-screen PTZ control, and instant zoom in/out. The true tri-plex gives users
simultaneous live view, playback, and record experience. The auto-overwritten recording
function allows IP99 IP camera can be used as a DVR-like recording, avoided disk
writing overflow.
IP99 series video server
This product comprises a web-based user interface, user-friendly feature facilitates
installation procedure. Moreover the open system structure saves the cost of coaxial cable
demand while improving quality of the image. IP99 series is a flexible and effective
solution for an interactive surveillance and remote surveillance system. It is easy to install
and easy to use.
Product features
Easy to use — IP99 series is easy to use, the only thing you need to do is to assign a
valid IP address. The only firmware required for this series is Microsoft IE 4.X or above.
Low cost — It provides a reliable and low cost video source. No need of expensive
firmware, management station nor expensive video cable.
Open environment — Supports TCP/IP network, SMTP E-mail, HTTP and other related
network protocols.
Easy management — Using standard web browser, you can assign and manage IP99
series directly through web page. It is even possible to upgrade firmware remotely.
Standard video format — IP99 series use MPEG 4 compression technology to produce
high quality images. User can view the images through any web browser.

Widely applicable — IP99 series provides live images on the network, it enhances
functionality of traditional television system. IP99 series allows direct connection to visit
remote video through standard IE, user can view local image as well as remote video any
time any where. IP 99 series can be used for alarm surveillance, traffic surveillance,
banking application, parking lot, factory surveillance, industry surveillance. Moreover,
IP99 series supports SMTP e-mail which allows the system to send out event image as an
attachment of the e-mail when an event occurs.
External connection — External devices include: IR sensor, switch, alarm relay or other
device that can trigger IP99 series.
PTZ connection — You can adjust camera’s direction by connecting a PTZ device to
IP99 series through a RS485 interface.
Security — IP99 series includes a web server, meaning that it can process safety control
as any other server. Web administrator can decide which individual, group, company or
even the whole world to visit your IP camera. This protection can be done by setting user
authority in IP99 series, or by connecting to a company’s internet.

Hardware Overview
1.
Reset: loading factory default configuration by pressing the button, which is
inside this hole. Please insert the keen-edged device to the hole for 10 seconds.

RS485(Pelco-P/Pelco-D): RS 485 Connector functionally reserved for PTZ
control.
3.
Power LED: Power LED will light up when power is ON.
4.
Ethernet RJ-45 port: Connect to LAN via this standard RJ-45 connector.

Power 12VDC: Connect with power adaptor

Video Out: Loopthrough connection to the video signal from the Video In
connector. Terminated with a coaxial/BNC connector.

Alarm In/Out: Connect to Alarm In/Out device.

Audio In: Connect to Audio device.
Installation
a. Optional mount video server on the wall. And screw it on the wall firmly.
b.
Connect BNC of camera to video server BNC
connector
c. If you connect to PTZ, connect PTZ RS485+ and RS485- to video server RS485
Terminal. ( Please refer to Manual for how to set up PTZ protocol and Baud rate)
d. Connect 12VDC power to video server.
e. Connect CAT5 cable and do network connection. Refer to Network Connection
f. Install IP searcher tool and assign IP address if you connect to multiple cameras.

Network Connection
This section tell you how to do different types of network connections to IP99
1. Router or LAN connection
This is the most common connection that allows multiples PC to see IP99 cameras/
encoders in pre-existing LAN through a router.
By doing port forwarding, you can view camera outside of internal LAN on
internet.

2. Direct High Speed Connection
Direct High Speed Connection connect camera directly to modem without a router.
You need to assign the IP address you obtain from internet service provider to IP camera/
Encoder. To access the camera, just type http:// IP address of your internet provider. If
you have a dynamic IP address, this connection doesn’t work for you.

3. One to one connect from PC to IPcamera
With a cross-over cable, you can connect directly without switch. However, only the
PC connecting to camera can view the IP camera.
