1) Workareasafety
a)Keepworkareacleanandwelllit. Clutteredordarkareasinvite

2) Electricalsafety
a)Powertoolplugsmustmatchtheoutlet.Nevermodifytheplugin
anyway.Donotuseanyadapterplugswithearthed(grounded)
powertools. Unmodifiedplugsandmatchingoutletswillreducerisk
ofelectricshock.
b)Avoidbodycontactwithearthedorgroundedsurfacessuchas
pipes,radiators,rangesandrefrigerators. Thereisanincreased
riskofelectricshockifyourbodyisearthedorgrounded.
c)Donotexposepowertoolstorainorwetconditions. Water
enteringapowertoolwillincreasetheriskofelectricshock.
d)Donotabusethecord.Neverusethecordforcarrying,pullingor
unpluggingthepowertool.Keepcordawayfromheat,oil,sharp
edgesormovingparts. Damagedorentangledcordsincreasethe
riskofelectricshock.
e)Whenoperatingapowertooloutdoors,useanextensioncord

3) Personalsafety

Protectiveequipmentsuchasdustmask,non-skidsafetyshoes,hard
hatorhearingprotectionusedforappropriateconditionswillreduce
personalinjuries.

off-positionbeforeconnectingtopowersourceand/orbattery
pack,pickinguporcarryingthetool. Carryingpowertoolswithyour

d)Removeanyadjustingkeyorwrenchbeforeturningthepowertool
on. Awrenchorakeyleftattachedtoarotatingpartofthepowertool

actioncancausesevereinjurywithinafractionofasecond.
4) Powertooluseandcare
a) Donotforcethepowertool.Usethecorrectpowertoolforyour
application. Thecorrectpowertoolwilldothejobbetterandsaferat
therateforwhichitwasdesigned.
b) Donotusethepowertooliftheswitchdoesnotturnitonandoff.
Anypowertoolthatcannotbecontrolledwiththeswitchisdangerous
andmustberepaired.
c) Disconnecttheplugfromthepowersourceand/orremovethe
batterypack,ifdetachable,fromthepowertoolbeforemaking
anyadjustments,changingaccessories,orstoringpowertools.
Suchpreventivesafetymeasuresreducetheriskofstartingthepower
toolaccidentally.
d) Storeidlepowertoolsoutofthereachofchildrenanddonot
allowpersonsunfamiliarwiththepowertoolortheseinstructions
tooperatethepowertool. Powertoolsaredangerousinthehandsof
untrainedusers.
e) Maintainpowertoolsandaccessories.Checkformisalignmentor

h) Keephandlesandgraspingsurfacesdry,cleanandfreefromoil
andgrease. Slipperyhandlesandgraspingsurfacesdonotallowfor
safehandlingandcontrolofthetoolinunexpectedsituations.
5) Batterytooluseandcare
a) Rechargeonlywiththechargerspecifiedbythemanufacturer. A
chargerthatissuitableforonetypeofbatterypackmaycreatearisk
offirewhenusedwithanotherbatterypack.
b) Usepowertoolsonlywithspecificallydesignatedbatterypacks.
Useofanyotherbatterypacksmaycreateariskofinjuryandfire.
c) Whenbatterypackisnotinuse,keepitawayfromothermetal
objectslikepaperclips,coins,keys,nails,screws,orother
smallmetalobjects,thatcanmakeaconnectionfromone
terminaltoanother. Shortingthebatteryterminalstogethermay
causeburnsorafire.
d) Underabusiveconditions,liquidmaybeejectedfromthebattery;
avoidcontact.Ifcontactaccidentallyoccurs,flushwithwater.If
liquidcontactseyes,additionallyseekmedicalhelp. Liquid
ejectedfromthebatterymaycauseirritationorburns.
e) Donotuseabatterypackortoolthatisdamagedormodified.
Damagedormodifiedbatteriesmayexhibitunpredictablebehaviour
resultinginfire,explosionorriskofinjury.
f) Donotexposeabatterypackortooltofireorexcessive
temperature. Exposuretofireortemperatureabove130 °Cmay
causeexplosion.
g) Followallcharginginstructionsanddonotchargethebattery
packortooloutsidethetemperaturerangespecifiedinthe
instructions. Chargingimproperlyorattemperaturesoutsidethe
specifiedrangemaydamagethebatteryandincreasetheriskoffire.
6) Service
a) Haveyourpowertoolservicedbyaqualifiedrepairperson

usingonlyidenticalreplacementparts. Thiswillensurethatthe
safetyofthepowertoolismaintained.
b) Neverservicedamagedbatterypacks. Serviceofbatterypacks
shouldonlybeperformedbythemanufacturerorauthorizedservice
providers.

recommendedintheseoperatinginstructionscanmeantheriskofinjury.
Whenusingjigsawsearprotectorsandafacemaskshouldbeworn.
Exposuretonoisecancausedamagetohearing.
Donotusethejigsawtocutasbestosormaterialscontainingasbestos.
Donotleavepowertoolsrunningunattended.Alwaysswitchoffanddonotput
downorleaveuntilithasstoppedcompletely.
Longhairmustbecovered.Donotworkinloosefittingclothing.

Securetheworkpiece.Theworkpieceisonlysecureifitisheldby
work-holdingdevicesorinavice.
Caution:sawbladescangetveryhot.
Sawbladesmustbekeptsharpandingoodcondition.Replacepartially
fracturedandbrokensawbladesimmediately.
Workcalmlyandevenlywiththejigsaw.Youwillthusavoidaccidentsandthe
sawbladesandthejigsawwilllastlonger.
Donotuseforcuttingpipesorcables.
Donotusecracked,bluntordamagedblades.
Donotstartthesawifnobladeisfitted.
Checktherearenoobstructionsin/onthesurfaceundertheitemtobecut.
Donotattempttocutitemsthickerthanthemaximumcuttingdepthofthe
blade,orwherethereisinsufficientspaceforthebladeundertheitem.
Thesaw’smetalpartsmaybecomeconductiveifthesawcomesintocontact
withalivewire.Thereforeonlyholdthesawbyitsinsulatedhandle.
Checkthattheventilationslotsarenotblocked.
Neverremovedust,obstructionsorthelikefromtheworkareawhiletheblade
isoperating.
Neverstopthesawbladebyapplyingpressuretothesawortothesideofthe
blade.
Donotliftthesawfromtheitembeingcutifthebladeisstillrunning.
Neverplacethesawonatableorworkbenchifithasnotstoppedcompletely.
Thesawbladewillcontinuetorunashorttimeafterthemachinehasbeen
switchedoff.

accessorycontactinga“live”wiremaymakeexposedmetalpartsof

EXTRASAFETYREGULATIONSCONCERNING
BATTERY
Toensurethelongestbatterylifeandbestbatteryperformance,alwayscharge
thebatterywhenthetemperatureisbetween18-24°C.Donotchargethe
batterypackwhenthetemperatureisbelow0°C,orabove40°C.Thisis
important.Failuretoobservethissafetyrulecouldcauseseriousdamageto
thebatterypack.
Donotincineratethebatterypackevenifitisseriouslydamagedorcanno
longerholdacharge.Thebatterypackcanexplodeinafire.
Asmallleakageofliquidfromthebatterypackmayoccurunderextreme
usageortemperature.Thisdoesnotnecessarilyindicateafailureofthe
batterypack.However,iftheoutersealisbrokenandthisleakagecomesinto
contactwithyourskin:
üWashtheaffectedareaquicklywithsoapandwater.
üFlushyoureyeswithcleanwaterforaminimumof10minutesandseek
immediatemedicalattention.
Neverattempttoopenthebatterypackforanyreason.Iftheplastichousingof
thebatterypackbreaksopenorcracks,immediatelydiscontinueitsuseand
donotrechargeit.
Donotstoreorcarryasparebatterypackinapocketortoolboxoranyother
placewhereitmaycomeintocontactwithmetalobjects.Thebatterypackmay
beshortcircuitedcausingdamagetothebatterypack,burnsorafire.Ifstoring
ordisposingthebatterypack,covertheterminalswithaheavyinsulationtape
toensureshortcircuitcannotoccur.Batteries,whenstoredforalongperiodof
time,willdischarge.
Donotstoreorusethetoolandbatterypackinlocationswherethe
temperaturemayreachorexceed40°Csuchasalongsideshedsormetal
structuresinthesummer.
Allowthebatterypacktocooldownaftercharging.Donotplaceitinahot
environmentsuchasametalshedoropentrailerleftinthesun.
Onlychargethebatterywiththechargersupplied.
Donotputthebatterypacknearfireorhightemperatureposition.
Donotsplashorimmerseinwaterorotherliquids.Thismaycausepremature
cellfailure.
Whentransportingindividualbatteries,makesurethatthebatteryterminals
areprotectedandwellinsulatedfrommaterialsthatcouldcontactthemand
causeashortcircuit.
Thebeststorageplaceisonethatiscoolanddryawayfromdirectsunlight

Ifthebatterypackhasbeenstoredforalongtime,youshouldactivatethe
