usedforappropriateconditionswillreducepersonalinjuries.

connectingtopowersourceand/orbatterypack,pickinguporcarryingthetool.
Carryingpowertoolswithyourfingerontheswitchorenergizingpowertoolsthat

4-Powertooluseandcare
a) Donotforcethepowertool.Usethecorrectpowertoolforyourapplication.
Thecorrectpowertoolwilldothejobbetterandsaferattherateforwhichitwas
designed.
b) Donotusethepowertooliftheswitchdoesnotturnitonandoff. Anypower
toolthatcannotbecontrolledwiththeswitchisdangerousandmustberepaired.
c) Disconnecttheplugfromthepowersourceand/orthebatterypackfromthe
powertoolbeforemakinganyadjustments,changingaccessories,orstoring
powertools. Suchpreventivesafetymeasuresreducetheriskofstartingthepower
toolaccidentally.
d) Storeidlepowertoolsoutofthereachofchildrenanddonotallowpersons
unfamiliarwiththepowertoolortheseinstructionstooperatethepowertool.
Powertoolsaredangerousinthehandsofuntrainedusers.
e) Maintainpowertools.Checkformisalignmentorbindingofmovingparts,

5-Service
a) Haveyourpowertoolservicedbyaqualifiedrepairpersonusingonly
identicalreplacementparts. Thiswillensurethatthesafetyofthepowertoolis
maintained.
b) Ifthesupplycordisdamaged,itmustbereplacedbythemanufacturer,itsservice
agentorsimilarlyqualifiedpersonsinordertoavoidahazard.

cutteratanypeopleoranimals.
•Removethebatteryduringtransportationandduringstorage.

•Keepallpartsofthebodyawayfromthetrimmingsspool.Makesuretheswitchisoff

•Alwaysinspectthetoolbeforeuse,andafteranyimpact,checkforsignofwearor
damageandrepairasnecessary,especiallythepartsofthecuttinghead.
•Carrythebrushcutterbythehandlewiththetrimmingspoolstopped.Proper
handlingofthebrushcutterwillreducepossiblepersonalinjuryfromthetrimming
spool.
Holdthepowertoolbyinsulatedgrippingsurfacesonly,becausethecutterblademay
contacthiddenwiring.Cutterbladescontactinga"live"wiremaymakeexposedmetal

•Holdthebrushcutterproperly,e.g.withbothhands.Lossofcontrolcancause

whenchargedafteronlyapartialdischarge.Itisnotnecessarytorundownthe
batterypackchargebeforerecharging.Removethebatterypackfromthetoolwhen
convenientforyouandyourjob.Youcan “top-off”yourbatterypackschargebefore
startingabigjoborlongperiodofuse.
Duetolithium-ionsfade-freeproperties,theonlytimeitisnecessarytochargethe
lithium-ionbatterypackiswhenthepackhasreachedtheendofitscharge.Tosignal

ATTACHINGPROTECTIONGUARD
Fitthecorrecttrimmerguardforusewiththemotor,thentightenscrewssothatthe
guardassemblycannotmove.
REPLACETHEMETALBLADETOSPOOL
CAUTION:NEVERuseunitifbladeiswarpedorhasteeththatarechippedor
missing.Replaceadamagedbladeimmediately.
CAUTION:Alwayswearheavy-dutyworkgloveswhenhandlingandinstallinga
blade.
METALBLADE:
Turnthetoolupsidedownsothatyoucanreplacethecutterbladeeasily.
Todismountthecutterblade,insertthehexwrenchthroughtheholeontheprotector
coverandreceivewasher.rotatethereceivewasheruntilitislockedwiththehex
wrench.Loosenthehexnut(left-handthread)withthehexsocketwrenchandremove
thenut,cup,clampwasherandhexwrench.
Mountthecutterbladeontotheshaftsothattheguideofthereceivewasherfitsinthe
arborholeinthecutterblade.Installtheclampwasher,cup,andsecurethecutter
bladewiththehexnutoftighteningtorqueduringholdingthereceivewasherwithhex
wrench.Thentightentheonenutbyclockwiserotate.

OPERATION

Beforestarting
Pleasealwaysreadtheinstructionmanualcarefullyandcheckthemachinebefore
operating.WARNING!
1.Ensuretheswitchisintheoffpositionanddisconnectthebatteryfromthetool.
2.Examinethegeneralconditionofthetool.Inspecttheguard,switch,cord,check
forloosescrews,impropermounting,brokenpartsandanyotherconditionthat
mayaffectitssafeoperation.Ifabnormalnoiseorvibrationoccursduring
operation,turnthetooloffimmediatelyandhavetheproblemcorrectedbya
qualifiedrepairperson.
3.Ensurethatyouareonaflatsurfaceandhavesecurefooting.
4.Checkthatthelinetouchesorgoesbeyondtheedgeoftheguard.
5.Checkthecuttingattachment,neverusebladesthataredull,crackedordamaged.
6.Weartheshoulderbeltsothatitliesontheonesideofshoulderasshownin
belowleftpic.Itcanberemovedquicklyfromyourbodyincaseofdanger.Never
attachtheshoulderbeltdiagonallyacrossyourchest.(belowrightpic.)

Workingwiththegrasstrimmerandbrushcutter
Important:
-Alwaysusetheshoulderbeltwhenworkingwiththemachine.
-Alwaysswitchoffthemachinebeforeyoutakeofftheshoulderbelt.
Note: Keepafirmgripwithbothhandsduringoperation.
1.Makesurethecuttingmeanscannotcomeintocontactwithanyobjectandyour
body.
2.Presstheon/offswitch,andthenpressthelockbutton,whileactivatingtrigger,
thenpressthetriggertostartthemachinewithnormalspeed,releasethelock
bottomthemachinewouldkeeprunningwithwithnormalspeed.Ifyouwantto
operatewithhighspeed,pressthehighspeedbottomandthenitwouldrunwith
highspeed.

Trimmingtipswhenusinggrasstrimmer
-Inspectandcleartheareatobetrimmedforanyrocks,brokenglassorwirethat
couldbethrownorbecomeentangledinthecuttingline.Trimonlywhengrassor
weedsaredry.Keepthecuttinglineparalleltotheground.
-Cutgrassorweedsover20cmtallfromthetoptothebottominsmallamounts.This
willpreventgrassbecomingwrappedaroundthetrimmerheadassembly,whichmay
resultindamage.Ifgrassbecomeswrappedaroundthetrimmerheadassembly,
stopthemachine,removethebatteryandwaittothelinestandstillandremovethe
grass.
-Movethemachineslowlyinandoutoftheareayouarecutting,keepingthetrimmer
atthedesiredcuttingheight.Usethetipofthelinetodothecutting.Donotforcethe
trimmerheadassemblyintouncutgrass.
-Feedoutsomelineaftereachusetopreventthelinefromretractingintothespool.
-Thetipofthecuttinglinewillwearduringuse.Thisreducesthecuttingswath.Ifthe
lineisnotfedoccasionally,itwillweardowntotheeyelet.Whenthetrimmerstops,
thelinetendstorelaxandmayretractintothespool.Shouldthisoccur,unplugthe
trimmer,removethespool,refeedthelinethroughtheeyeletsandreassemblethe
spool.
-Avoidhittingobjectswiththeline,suchaschain-linkfencesorconcrete,asthis
causesrapidwear.
-Neverdragthetrimmerheadassemblyonthegroundwhiletrimming.
-Whenoperatingthegrasstrimmer(especiallyafterchangingthespoolofline)for
thefirsttime,ensuretotesttheassemblybyrunningthegrasstrimmerinasafe
location,thelinemaynotbefullyextended,soyoumayneedto “bump”theheadat
fullspeedonthegroundtoextendthelinetothecorrectlength.
Note:Toextendcuttinglinewhenyoubumpthecuttingheadontheground,the
machinemustbeoperatedclosetofullspeed.
Aspring-loadedbuttononthespoolholderisdepressedwhenthetrimmeris
“bumped”andthisreleaseslineduetotheinertialforceofthespinningspool.iftoo
muchlineisfedout,itwillprojectbeyondtheguardedge.Itiscutbythebladeinthe
guard,itisonlynecessarytoreplacelinethatisbrokenduringuse.Donot “bump”
tooexcessasitwastesline.Ittakesalittlepracticeandexperiencetojudgewhento
“bump”.
Note: Donotcutdamporwetgrass.Drygrasswillgiveexcellentresults.
